I hired We Serve Law for a "Comprehensive Skip Trace" on the deadbeat who sold me a car, filed a fake police report while they "waited on the paperwork", got me arrested at gunpoint, and then snatched my iPad and keys (and the car!) from impound while I was still in cuffs. I gave WeServeLaw everything: full legal name (A. H. R., because that's who he was when he committed the crime), DOB, DL number, old addresses, emails, and I straight-up told them in the order form: "he may identify as a trans woman now and may or may not go by Z." I even said I hadn't been in contact since summer 2023 and needed CURRENT whereabouts for small claims service. What did I get? A half-assed report ON A.H.R, that literally says on page 1: "Other People who have used this SSN... Z. R. [View Person Record]" with the exact same last four digits and DOB window. They found the name-change link themselves, confirmed it exists, then sent me the stale, incomplete version anyway like it was a surprise party I wasn't invited to. I emailed them back to point out that Z.R. was their trans identity as mentioned in my order, and could they click the link give me the complete report, to see if it had a fresher address. They replied back I would have to pay $50 more dollars for them to click the link and send me the Z.R. report. So I pushed back and told them these two names belong to the same individual with the same SSN and DOB, they should be merged, they hit me with: "We confirmed via email the name of the party... A search on another party will include another fee." Bish please. You mean to tell me that all I have to do is start going by a new name to dodge a PROFESSIONAL SKIP TRACER?! Guess so with We Serve Law. They're really out here trying to tell me that when you transition you magically turn into a WHOLE OTHER PERSON with a brand-new name, even with the exact same SSN and birthday? Insensitive as hell. Lazy as hell. I'm warning every single LGBTQIA+ person specifically: avoid these clowns like the plague. They clearly don't understand (or care about) our situations and will treat a name change like it's two completely separate humans just to squeeze out an extra $50 invoice. I would have been better off getting a subscription to BeenVerified and running the reports myself. But I thought I would get better information from a professional skip tracer. I WAS WRONG. I'm not even asking for a refund anymore. I'm just here to warn every desperate plaintiff, process server, or pissed-off ex: Do NOT use We Serve Law. Their "comprehensive" search is about as deep as a Grindr bio. They'll take your money, give you useless outdated info, dangle the rest behind another invoice, greedy lazy f*, and then act shocked when you call them out on their deadnaming nonsense. LAZY, GREEDY, DECEPTIVE, and actively HARMFUL to the community. Save your coins, queens (and kings and theys). One star. Absolutely would not recommend. read more

The child support documents are to be served 10 days prior to the court date. I submitted the request on 4/4. Yesterday was the last day for summoning and I still did not receive an update regarding the status, so I called. The male answered and said they will look into this and will get back to me. 30 min passed no response so I called back which was now 5pm and was told I would get an update on 15 min. No one called back and they stopped answering my calls by 8pm. I sent an email requesting a refund and to not attempt. At 930p, they responded via email that an attempt was made 4/7. This is one attempt and I paid for 3 attempts minimum. No attempts were made yesterday and now I have to get a new court date. I am very dissatisfied with their service and level of unprofessionalism. They were actually nasty from the beginning but money was paid already. We (our law office) is in California I searched for the closest Process Server to Trenton Florida. I selected 'Priority serving', and that price is $100.00. After I sent the documents, I receive an invoice that the serving will be $325.00. $325.00? I write to them. They say, they will give me a discount and sent me a bill for $235.00. Uh - no. I called Trenton and found a process server for $65.00. WHAT A SCAM. Shame on this company. Skip them completely. read more

This business is a scam. Their website submission for lists a set of services to choose from, ranging from standard to same day service. Once you submit the form, they email you for 2.5x the cost of the service selected, with excuses of 1."thats a starting fee" (no such disclaimer or indicator of fine print os found anywhere on the submission page) , 2. "the location is too far" (despite it being in the state of NJ which is where they serve 3. "there are additional fees for papers to be printed" (again no disclaimers listed). For 2 months I have been trying to get 3 people served. These people cannot get it right no matter how much I try and get across to them. They keep telling me they have mailed all 3 affidavits and I received none. Then they said they will send certified letter + I only receive 1 out of 3 affidavits. Their attention to detail is non existent. The only thing they are efficient at is sending you their invoice. It's so obvious that they don't have your info that you wait so patiently for and also pay so dearly for. They keep telling you they will forward asap . Do not use this company!! The fee is very high and be aware that there's NO GUARANTEED RESULT! I paid $115 for a simple task to serve someone an envelope but this company simply allowed their three serving attempts to fail consecutively without responding my lawyer's email inquiring the progress of serving attempts. They simply just allowed each attempt to fail without any intention to make improvements after each failed attempt. Then they sent me another $130 bill saying "Each bill contains three attempts. If you want more service from us, you have to pay another bill." What kind of customer service is this? It's irresponsible and unprofessional. As an attorney in Los Angeles, California I was a little hesitant about hiring a process server all the way across the country (worried they might take the money and not do the job), but I was pleasantly surprised when the service was completed in a very prompt, efficient and professional manner. First time using a process server.... Alex explained everything to me and allowed me to ask a thousand questions without losing his patience. I cannot recommend this service at all. I requested court documents and was told they could get the documents and deliver them to me for $185. That seemed like a high fee but it would save me time he drive to NJ. I was not told that the fee was non-refundable or that there was a possibility that they would not be able to retrieve the documents. A few days later, they told me that they could not get my documents unless I hired Alex Vays to be my attorney and paid him additional attorney fees. My personal attorney, whom I forwarded the emails to, described this practice as "criminal." I demanded my money back but Alex Vays offered to only refund me 50%. Luckily, I paid through PayPal who refunded my money in full when I explained to them what had happened. In my opinion, Alex Vays is a pettifogger and I would avoid doing business with him at all costs! read more

I was hopeful at the beginning, but I cannot recommend this business at all. I employed WeServeLaw to provide service of citation in a civil lawsuit. While they did serve the citation in a timely manner, it took over a month to get the original affidavit of service from this company. It was week after week of e-mails asking me where to mail the original affidavit. I replied to every e-mail, and called twice. The first time I called, I was told the original was placed in the mail three days earlier. Another week passed, and I continued to receive e-mails asking where to mail the original affidavit. I suspected that the first person I spoke to lied to me, so I placed a second phone call. She tells me that she has no record of receiving replies from me. I pointed out the fact that was incorrect because they responded back to me twice indicating and confirming the correct address to mail the original. She then changes her tune and says she will get the original in the mail. Three days later, I finally received the original affidavit, exactly a month after they served it! Their customer service is absolutely terrible for the price they charge. While they did get the citation served in a timely manner, they lied to me. I simply cannot give business to a service that engages in dishonesty in any form. I will not be using We Serve NJ/WeServeLaw for process service again, and I do not recommend their services. If you need documents served, I recommend searching for someone local that you can deal with directly. read more
