Calvin and his team were truly amazing. I've moved a LIT in my time & his positivity, straightforward communication, punctuality & most important -- willingness to assist was unparalleled. We needed to adjust several times & Calvin remained happy to help. The packed, moved & cleaned and I can't say how much stress was relieved knowing they were professionals. I will only move with them again. Mahalo Nui on a job well-done. read more

When I llost my job last year, I hired this moving company to ship my belongings from Maui to LA in March 2020. Up to now. February 2021, I still have not received my belongings. The company wanted to charge me more after I paid the full amount of close to $5,000 when they picked up my belongings. Since I refuse to pay , they have been holding my belongings as hostage. BE VERY CAREFUL In Dealing with this company! They CANNOT BE TRUSTED! BEWARE! read more

I initially used this company about a month ago and had intended on writing a 5 star review. I scheduled them because I had injured my shoulder and had some furniture that needed to be moved around my house before my container was delivered. Calvin and his son showed up about 15-20 minutes late but were professional, courteous and careful with the furniture.  Fast forward to now- I purchased some furniture from a gentleman in Kihei who is moving to the mainland and needed some movers to pick up the furniture from his house and move it to Kaanapali to my house. When I inquired about this on a Monday afternoon as a possibility, Calvin said he was totally flexible and would be able to do it no problem and gave me what I thought was a fair rate. I confirmed with him a few hours later and he said they would be at the seller's house the following day between 330-4. All was fine. 4:45 rolls around and the seller contacts me to let me know no one has shown up. The seller is a fairly old and unwell gentleman who has heart failure so timing is crucial to him as he sleeps a lot and was rearranging his day for this. I called Calvin who said another job was taking longer than expected and they wouldn't be at the initial pickup until 730-8.... so 3.5-4 hours late. He didn't call me to let me know this at all which I told him I was very unhappy with. I explained the gentleman's issue and that if he was going to be any later, I needed some communication. He failed to admit that it was an oversight and didn't really apologize for it at all. He didn't really even seem to realize that this was poor customer service. He called me again shortly before 7 to let me know that they were just cancelling and wouldn't be completing the move for me. No sorries, nothing except "We're running late and we're cancelling." I know he gave me a great rate, but at what cost? While inexpensive, due to the above experiences, I am hesitant recommending this company. Calvin and his son seemed very nice and kind so the fact that Calvin didn't even call me today to apologize or offer to reschedule is a big disappointment. I do hope that Calvin looks into better scheduling systems and focuses on customer service going forward to be able to recreate my initial 5 star experience with others. read more

Calvin was very professional on the phone. Unfortunately he brought a small truck and had to do two loads (for a small Move) and charged $200/hr (total of $600) for driving back to the port. Such a disappointment when he seemed so professional on the phone. Be sure to talk through the expectations of drive time vs labor prices read more

If I could rate negative marks I definitely would. I will never use this company again. We had scheduled a move of our 1 bdrm apt for Weds 8/28/2019. This was a moving company that Uhaul has on their website, so I thought they would be reputable. So Calvin called me 8:20 am the day before my move asking me if I would be willing to reschedule my move for Sat 8/31. I told him absolutely NOT as I had already reserved a moving truck, and had a cleaning lady set up for the day after. Calvin then said he would call me back in a few hours and see if he could rearrange his flights as he was off island when he called me. I agreed and waited for him to call back. He called me back at 5:23 pm again asking me if he could do the move on Sat again I told him emphatically NO reiterating that I had already reserved a moving truck for Weds, and had a cleaner coming in to do my clean out. He then asked for a ride from HNL if he could rebook his flight. I said sure. He then gave me some sob story about his helper (as I had originally ordered 2 movers for 2 hours) having to uber over to the job site, and I said how they get here isn't my concern I just need ppl to help me move. He said his air carrier wanted to charge him for the rebooking of the flight, I told him that's his problem and to work it out. I even offered to pick up his helper if he couldn't make it via a text msg, he then had the gal to text me asking me to pay for his flight to be rebooked $150.00. As I had already been billed $293 of course I said NO. I then reported this company to Uhaul, and the company Movinghelp.com 866 number when I requested a refund of my $$$. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING SHOOK DOWN read more

They were supposed to arrive at 11am and got delayed until after 4 pm. Took them 45 minutes to move one dresser downstairs after gouging the wall twice and scratching our wood floor. They don't wear masks and we found out the driver didn't even have a license. The truck got lost and didn't get to the other house for nearly three hours. A 35 minute drive. Don't use these guys. Not professional at all. A child could have packed their truck better than they did. And faster. read more

Top notch service. Showed up on time and ready to work. He packed my uhaul container as efficient as you possibly can. I was having issues with uhaul and he basically took money out of his pocket to recover my experience. Can't say enough about this locally owned business. Mahalo!!!! read more

First of all, I called this company at least 6 times after an agreement was made to move my items. I even left a message on thumbtack, and still no call. I was charged 175 an hour with a 3 minimum. The 3 hours includes travel time to and from the move. He stated it took 2 hours to get to my location. (350 for travel) which I had no proof of. This left less than an hour to move my things. So, due to this,I was only able to get a queen-size bed moved, which was only about a 50-yard move. He damaged my mattress by forcing in the back of an enterprise van he rented. He only took $75 off for damaging my mattress. With the reduction for damaging my mattress, the total bill still came out to be almost $800 for moving a queen size bed, which took less than an hour. I was charged $550 for him traveling to and from the move. If I can save anyone from using this horrible unprofessional company, then what I went through was worth it. I'M WARNING YOU DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! read more

On time, friendly, tremendously hardworking, polite, efficient, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend We Move People.

I needed to move a Cal King bed from one house to another on my property on short notice. Calvin was very courteous and professional, and he even called to let me know when he was on his way. Calvin and his son were fully prepared when it started raining. They wrapped all the articles so nothing would get wet and reassembled my bed in it's new location. I would recommend "We Move People" highly. read more
