Very positive experience -timely -took on an incredibly hard project others could not solve -the service -executed well -good value for money given the magnitude and hazard of the work required For context, I bought a home that had a pool house rat infestation that went unchecked for YEARS. It was wild... you could smell the barnyard smell as you approached the pool house. The home inspector saw two rats in the middle of the day as he was looking around. Everything was badly badly covered in thick black piles of rat waste. I paid Terminix over $6000 to seal the entrances of the home and pool house then another $2500 to clean the attic, remove the contaminated insulation and re insulate. After having them back four times to address issues in the attic I called West Coast Remediation. They *actually* restored the pool house. Removing stained wood, encapsulating where needed. Replacing floor boards and insulation that Terminix skipped. For context: these photos are from them... this is the attic crawlspace. Imagine about 300 sq ft like this under narrow eves... Wasn't a "flawless" experience (crew tracked outside dirt through the house, we still have to hire a different contractor to redo the drywall), but on balance, the quality of the work performed, the price, the speed, and *actually solving the problems no one else could* means I'd still rank this experience 11/10 and will definitely recommend without reservations. read more

Nolan and his team were very responsive and eager to help in our newly purchased, extremely moldy house in Pacific Grove. Communication was never a problem and Nolan really went above and beyond for our house demolition and mold remediation. But the sign of a solid service is when I called 2 weeks after he finished and was fully paid. I told Nolan I took down a little more drywall in the kitchen (not in his original scope) and found more mold. We live in an older home with a raised foundation. I had found some mold coming through our hardwood floors. I called a few places in the area. Nolan at West Coast remediation was the first to return my call. He arrived on time for his appointment. He crawled under our home took photos and investigated the problem. He found a sizable leak under our home which he also photographed for us to see. He was professional and answered all of our questions. He told us he would get back to us with a written estimate. After getting Nolan's estimate which detailed all the work to be done which we thought it was very fair. *We also had received an estimate from another company here on the central coast (after several calls) who was quite a bit HIGHER, their estimate also included a fuel charge for driving to our home. That company was a hard pass. The day of the work was to be done Nolan and his workers arrived promptly and got right to work. They did everything on schedule. I appreciate that they put up plastic barriers and cleaned up everything after they were done. My husband was quite happy with the work that Nolan and his crew did so after he finished my husband had him to install some installation under our DRAFTY house. It has now been seven months since he completed the work. There has been no return signs of any mold returning, and I can honestly say this has been the warmest winter we have spent in this house in 28 years. Nolan was professional and trustworthy.
