The winter storms experienced this year created problems with our back yard flooding, which eventually made it's way into our home and required us to re-grade our entire yard, re-do drainage and also re-do a retaining wall that was put in less than 4 years ago. I had 8 different contractors come out to take a look at our failing retaining wall and what we needed to do to remedy the problem. Wes was the only contractor I had come by that was able to comprehensively explain why the first wall failed (without bashing the original contractor) and the key factors we needed to consider to avoid this problem from happening again including the recommended block to use, french drain location and surface drainage plan. All the other contractors were recommending an inadequate amount of drain rock depth/distance for adequate drainage and water pressure relief for the hill that the wall was holding back, and they only included the french drain upon my request. Due to budget constraints, we opted to have the retaining wall be the first priority in getting our backyard back to usable before moving on to any hardscape and surface drainage work. Wes and his team were on-time every day, kept a very clean job site, and were in constant communication throughout the project. They finished the job on time, at the original quoted price, and provided a final product that was beyond our expectations. The amount of diligence and care Wes and his team provided is something I have yet to experience when working with a contractor and it was a breath of fresh air. I cannot recommend Wes and his team enough. When it comes to retaining walls, they are the standard when it comes to design, build quality and professionalism. I hired EcoTuft to re-do all of the turf on my property. The front already had turf (that was not properly installed by someone else), the back had real grass (that was half dead). Westin and his team did a fantastic job with my front yard, side yard and back yard in regards to turf. We just had significant rain in San Diego and I did not have any issues with my landscaping. Westin also did some landscape design in my front yard (I will post photos soon) and it is absolutely beautiful and also has stood the test of the massive rains we just had. Ecoturf is the best of the best by far. Westin and his crew did work for us in San Diego over 5 years ago and it still looks perfect.
