This cottage was very beautiful and lovely. The biggest downfall is the caretaker and her family. After having multiple meetings with the manager of the cottage, I was told I'd have full access to the parking spots available, the fridge would be cleared out, and I'd have the space to do my event without interruption. This did not happen at all. Upon arriving there were cars parked in the spaces for this venue, the fridge was half full, and the caretaker has shown up throughout the event. The first time she showed up was when I first got there to tell me the do's and don'ts of the venue, she even told me I could not open the doors (even though the manager told me many times it would be no problem and in fact they would be open upon arriving). Then during the event the caretaker, her husband and her kids were walking all around and even playing right outside the door. While getting some forgotten things from my car, the caretaker's husband also came outside and was watching me take the forgotten things out. Lastly, while cleaning up the venue when the event was over the caretaker took it upon herself to come in and tell us to "get out or else". Not only did she threaten us, but she even got in the face of a child and told him he had to leave. I cannot believe the racism that unfolded in front of my eyes. I would not recommend this place again based off of the caretaker's actions. read more
