I've been dealing with this shelter before it became the Humane Society of Westchester. I've…read moreadopted 2 senior dogs, fostered kittens, bottle babies and a dog. I always had a contact number in case something happened and I needed to speak to someone no matter the time or day. The shelter is always clean and the animals are well cared for. I never seen any animal in the shelter that was uncared for. Their adoption form shows you that they care who adopts their animals. The employees are professional, friendly, understanding and caring. Tiffany the manager is the person I've been dealing with for many years and I never had a complaint about her. She's sincere about her job. The manager before her wasn't alway pleasant but she did care for the animals. Beverly the lady that answers the phone has always been professional. I will continue to bring my TNR cats to the shelter. That project is a great help to keep the kitten population down. It's worth the money. I read some negative reviews and just want to say don't always let them influence you.

I put them in a carrier and took them to the Humane Society of Westchester. They front desknladybrolled her eyes and said well, can your friend come in with her I.D? Why? Proof of address. For what? Where you found the cats? No, no, im not involving her. Im being a good Samaritan. Then some big angry woman comes out, rolls her eyes and says she knows im lying, take the cats back where I found them. Wait, so I can abandon them? Absolutely not. I cant keep them im dropping them off here's my I.D. call the cops if you need to. She said I probably stole the cats, or im trying to hurt them. By bringing them to the shelter!? No, she said I waa shaking and stuttering. I told her I have anxiety and other disorders to which she rolled her eyes and said oh, yeah, I read it on your shirt. My shirt is a joke. I came, i saw, i had anxiety, so i left. Like what was her deal. She said fine, took a copy of my I.D, walked me out and took a photo of my friends license plate. This is awful and I filed multiple complaints. Where is our donation money going? They need to be fired immediately and issue apologies to citizens trying to do the right thing.
