I don't post often, but I really wanted to give a shout out to the TLE in New Rochelle…read more We absolutely love it. The teachers are fantastic and the directors super-friendly and available whenever needed. The environment is clean and stimulating for children, and they are great about sending updates via the app. You know it's a great place when the kids are running excited in the morning to go to their class. We are so happy to have found the TLE and I absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a great daycare.

I can't say enough good things about The Learning Experience in New Rochelle. I was dreading the…read moreday that we had to drop our son off at daycare, but within even a week's time, I knew that he was in the right place. For starters, the facility is clean and inviting, but the staff and teachers make this place go round. Jade and Tarika are incredible directors. They are always available for a chat - about both good things and concerns - and take the time to get to know each child. They are also extremely vigilant about when a child might be sick, which I appreciate. Additionally, they are responsive via email. I know that if I have a quick question, they are ready, willing and able to help. Lastly, our son loves his teacher, Miss Gia! He has never cried once when we drop him off and a huge smile comes onto his face when we walk into his room! The kids are kept busy (we love the art projects that come home!) and are cared for well. All of the teachers there have really impressed me. Now really the last thing - there's an app that we follow along with each day. It logs everything that is going on with our child, which for a parent, is a god-send. And there are cute pictures sent throughout the day. It's so encouraging to see a smile on our son's face throughout the day. Can't thank Jade, Tarika and the team enough for their professionalism and care!

Our son attending this school for 1.5 years, and I regret we did not started earlier. His teacher, Ms. Allison, is literally everything you can ask for a toddler. Our son is 5 now, and he reads, writes and does the math, and he is very self sufficient boy. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend sending your child to New Rochelle Day Nursery…read more Our daughter spent 2 years at NRDN and recently graduated from their Pre-K program. We are so thankful we made the choice to send her to NRDN. From the start, our daughter always told us how much she loved it there and how much she loved her teachers and her friends from class. In Ms. Allison and Ms. Shante's class, her social-emotional learning and academic development were nurtured in a way that produced results that we could see at home. They are both truly gifted educators and foster a Pre-K environment that teaches students how to be part of a team, while thriving as individuals. In 3-K, our daughter attended Ms. Twana and Ms. Silvana's class. She had an amazing time, learned so much, and we were so impressed with what she accomplished. She built such a strong foundation. The admin team that runs the facility, Ms. Sabrina, Ms. Dawn, and Ms. Karin are excellent and it is apparent that they take great care in the service they provide to their students and families. As our daughter heads to kindergarten, we are more at ease because we know she is prepared. NRDN has had a large hand in that. It is a special place, staffed with wonderful educators and staff.

The children learn how to listen, be kind, and have a schedule-oriented school day. Teachers send a daily summary of the day, usually with pictures. The facility is neat and clean, it's affordable and provides a variety of balanced meals. The classes get regular visits from nature guy and a music instructor. The new director is incorporating more field trips, better communication with parents, and holiday celebrations.

I am posting this review because the former review is so inaccurate and vacuous. First the prior…read morereviewer speaks of teachers "cliquing" together which does not sound like a parent's perspective. Here is a parent's perspective -- we left the city to raise our daughter in a strong school district and a safe community. I would pay triple for what we are getting at PCC. The program is play based which means learning is fun! The main components of my child's day are: job assignments e.g. feeding a pet, being line leader, turning of the lights to teach responsibility, then they have free play before breakfast. After breakfast they have a morning reading and discussion as a group. Parents are welcome to join and read to the kids during morning meeting. There are a high ratio of teachers to kids per class. Average class size is 6. There is also a Science, Art, and Music curriculum from outside instructors. The kids also do arts and crafts for holidays and seasons. The kids are prepared for Kindergarten at age 3 and age 4 - they learn to spell, letter sounds, letter recognition, numbers, arthmetic. Most of all the kids are taught how to socialize, resolve conflict, and taught about how we are different but all the same as well. My kid has never had an unhappy day, literally and asks about school on weekends. after nap time, in the afternoon the kids are taken on walks to the town sites e.g. Firehouse or supermarket for a planned cookie baking, or hit the playground as 2, 3, and 4 year olds should. This is a great program and a true value. It is also the only full day program in town. I do not expect the teachers to be anything but normal human beings dedicated to caring for the kids. They also hold parent teacher conferences annually to discuss the child's progress by age. At the end of the year they have a ceremony to celebrate movement to the next year.
