The building houses a dermatologist office as well so definitely make sure you check the sign on the door when you walk in the entrance to ensure you are heading to the correct office. The receptionist was friendly, quick, and efficient. I didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes from the scheduled time of my appointment to be seen which was awesome. The nurses and doctor that assisted me today were super friendly, patient and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this location if you are in the market for a podiatrist!

My foot/ankle issues are a bit complicated. I couldn't get past the "assistant" because I wanted to find out if the problem I'm having with my left foot might possibly be related to the fact that my right leg had been broken a few years ago and had resulted in an ankle injury as well as some residual foot paralysis (both feet) from an earlier illness. But because every possible detail had not been listed on the referral she then told me the doctor "would not" talk with me concerning the other facts. I had hoped every fact concerning my foot/ankle problems could have been discussed/looked at. But I left without so much as even meeting a doctor much less having anything examined. I know for whatever reason you can't talk to a specialist unless you've been referred there by your PCP. I could have paid my copay and talked to their doctor (whoever he is) about my left foot but the assistant was clear that he could not talk to me about anything else. I asked her "what good are you/he then?" She told me I needed to go back to my doctor and get a proper referral and then her doctor would schedule a "30 minute appointment" and talk to me about everything else. It appears it's all driven by the money. I thought that was so very big of him. And all this was after her leaving the room 3 separate times to ask him questions and then return and answer mine. So what is she needed for then? To be fair to my doctor's practice, my referral was not sent by my doctor but by another doctor in his practice (as he had no opening at the time). So I'm going back to (my) doctor to start this process all over again and get another referral to a podiatrist. But I have no intention of wasting more time with these folks. I originally asked to see Dr Ocheltree at this practice (as I know him and greatly respect him) but he was out of the country doing mission work related to his profession. Perhaps some others at this practice should follow his example? To say I left there disappointed would be an understatement. I am curious though about one thing. In this era of confidentiality and being private I find it extremely odd that a patient would take pictures of the inside of the business and the fact that the office staff would permit such a thing? Odd.

Avoid This Location if You Value Your Time and Respect I…read morewaited over two hours at the Waynesboro EyeOne office, costing me time and income from work. As soon as I mentioned leaving, the doctor saw me immediately -- which made it clear the delay wasn't due to workload but a lack of urgency. The front staff felt dismissive and unprofessional. When I requested glasses and a pack of contacts, the woman with curly hair interrupted me repeatedly with "hold on, hold on, you are going way too fast" even though I was simply responding to her question of what I wanted which never changed each time I said I wanted just GLASSES AND CONTACTS!! (Nothing about deals or offers or what I could get on the glasses). Before I could even say contacts she interrupted me not once but multiple times after asking what I wanted to order (Which was about three times mind you) and all I said was glasses and contacts!! That was it! I wasn't asking for offers, deals, or extra info -- just placing a straightforward order. Somehow, that was too difficult for her to process. Maybe hire someone that can take a simple order instead of someone that gets overwhelmed by just a simple straightforward order. She acted like it was way too hard to keep up with just glasses and contacts. I couldn't imagine if I had to ask about anything else. I worked in customer service for 8 years I know how hard it can be but if someone can't even take basic request without acting like it's too much for her to handle than you need to find someone who can. I can understand if I was asking a bunch of questions or wanting a bunch of stuff but I literally just ask for glasses and contacts nothing else about info or anything. Working in customer service there was times I had to take many MANY request and questions and process them immediately! I never once told a customer hold on you're going to fast and cut them off! Very unprofessional!!! Compared to other EyeOne centers nearby, this one stands out -- and not in a good way. I won't be returning to the Waynesboro location. PS, (this is the first and last time I go to the waynesboro office. If you are in the area trust me and drive a few more minutes to save you some time and respect and go to the fishersville office or Staunton office. The fishersville office I have been going to for 10 years and has always had friendly staff and doctors who value your time.)

They were supposed to call me when it arrived. Never heard from them. Made an appointment with the doctor because they refused to let me talk to him by phone. Doctor said the venom was there but it was too late for me to continue the shots without starting over. I decided to stop the shots. I went to the Waynesboro office for many years and then they abruptly moved to the main office in Charlottesville. Totally different experience. The doctor was supposed to get them to take the charge off. Never happened!

I was told by the secretary I would need to stop taking certain medications a week prior to my appointment for full allergy testing and they would send me a list of the medications I would need to stop to my home address. The list never arrived. After four calls to the office and no return calls, I stopped all of my meds abruptly out of fear they may interfere with my testing. When I got there the physician listened to my lungs, patted me on my shoulder, said everything is going to be okay, and sent me on my way. No blood tests, no poke tests, no information, no recipes, no nothing. For reference, I have newly diagnosed alpha gal syndrome, a tick borne illness that makes me anaphylactic-ly allergic to beef, pork, lamb, dairy, butter, carrageenan, gelatin (including medication gel tabs), and natural flavors. I now have to carry around an epi pen that the urgent care provider who diagnosed me prescribed. I also have had abrupt cardiac symptoms with the new diagnosis...hypertension and tachycardia for which I now need to take cardiac medications. Keep in mind my heart rate and blood pressure were fine up until this diagnosis and I am a heathy woman in her 30's with no medical history. My sustained tachycardia put me in the emergency room and almost admitted me to the hospital because it would not go below 110 beats per minute at rest. Dr. Dillon told me it was just stress. She then said to continue avoiding what I was avoiding and she would see me in nine months. Her nurse literally told me to Google my diagnosis for more information, even though there is not a lot of information out there on it. No recipes, no printed info, nothing. I should have wasted my money on a massage. At least I wouldn't have waited three months for absolutely nothing and felt better about it afterwards. Their online paperwork is also a debacle. It takes forever and it is filled with ads and research pitches. This sounds like a small office was taken over by a large money making business venture and the patient is not the center of the practice's efforts. I am going to save the money and ask my primary care physician to retest me periodically. There was literally no reason why the urgent care should have referred me to this place. Save your money and your time.

Today, for example, I attempted to reach the office 27 times with each time resulting in a busy signal. The 28th time I called I finally got an answer. I can see where having a person, rather than an automated system, would prove to be personal and give the illusion that you care about your customer. For me, it has done quite the opposite. I have to spend more time trying to get through on a line than an automated system. If I am on hold, I can simply mute my phone and listen for the next available attendant. When there is a busy signal, I have to continue to interrupt my day to dial in to the office, kinda like trying to win tickets off a radio show type feel. I am frustrated by the time the attendant gets to me...or rather I get an attendant. Please pass this information to the appropriate people within your company for discussion. Overall care--good Customer Service--severely lacking
