Idiots with stethoscopes. I moved to the area and needed a provider. My first visit was for a sore…read more"trigger finger". Simple stuff. Generally in good health. I've been married 33 years, and they wanted an std test, blood. I agreed. Next, they wanted an observed urine sample to check for drug use, I did not agree. Next they wanted me to sign a contract, generally holding them blameless and allowing them to perform testing without my agreement or acknowledgement. They insisted the drug test was a federal requirement. (They either lied or are severely ignorant of federal requirements.) My attitude is that if these folks have to go to such lengths as lying about federal requirements, any hope of future honest relations is nonexistent, their professionalism is suspect. During the follow up, second visit, they still insisted on the drug test, even after being informed of the federal regulation they supposedly were following (and misinterpreting.) They refused to treat, I left. Congratulations for being in violation of two federal regulations! My opinion is to avoid these these folks like the plague. Follow up: Good intentions mired in bad execution. The facility provides care on a sliding cost scale, so, I paid premium prices (high income) for the same treatment afforded to homeless drug addicts. Problem is, high income folks do not like to be treated like homeless drug addicts and are familiar with most laws and regulations. By driving away higher income patients, the place becomes little more than the community free clinic, where one is treated by a nurse no better educated than the local high school nurse, and the occasional MD. Their attempts to treat people equally denigrates a population that pays the taxes to keep them in business. MY opinion, , judge for yourself!

I love that they have where you can call in & speak to a nurse about any questions or concerns you may have about your child. All of the rooms in the office are decorated in different kid themes so that they are less 'scary' to the children...& give them something to focus on other than the scary doctor! Only thing that I dislike about the office is the waiting area. It's very small & although they have a 'well visit' & a 'sick visit' side...your still really close to each other!

She has a calming presence for the overly worried new mom, and address the questions/concerns with importance no matter so nominal they may actually be. She's always been timely which isn't an expectation at a busy office, but is nice, especially with kids in tow. The office staff is also very kind and welcoming and their 7 days a week hours as well as an ability to work you in fast/select walk in appointments is such a convenience!

Since being acquired by Trusted Doctors, their office staff has been nothing short of a nightmare…read more After being patients for close to 10 years, they put all of our children to "inactive" status when there was a problem on their end with billing and insurance, even after we had done our due diligence to fix the problem. They provided no further communication that there was an ongoing issue, and we were surprised to find we were unable to make an appointment for our sick child when she needed to be seen. The providers are wonderful. The front office and billing staff is the worst I've ever experienced. I would not choose them to provide care based on the wall of problems we've run into since their acquisition. Sad, since they used to be wonderful.

Our neighbor recommended Piedmont Peds. This practice is good for availability, but the more we…read morevisited, the more we needed to visit. After visiting my child and I in the hospital, the physicians performed experiments on my newborn and I in its office following her first vaccination in ways that are not standard in new infant care in other states, without cause or communication, and it was quick to order tests without logic on my children to charge our excellent insurance plan, scaring my child and slowing our progress as a family to its advantage. The nurses are good, administrators are pretty good, but the NP's and physicians do not like self-assured, educated mothers who know their rights and sought to undermine as a distraction from surgical malpractice the first year in the region. Contributing to defamation, this practice caused social discrimination through social engineering and science in places like libraries on other mothers with children, and in my career in the community. It took every opportunity to triangulate between my daughters and I. It tried to generate an economy inviting our social connections to town, but also tried to make value judgements on our educations, experience and professions forged in other states, while encouraging a culture in medical society of ethnographic research using our family, as has historically been Virginia's and UVA's medical orthography, including historic precedents of eugenics. The outcome was trauma and hardship and otherwise we are very close. If you have a specific need for a child, this is not the practice for you. If you are the mother of an infant, I would not recommend this practice. If you only need vaccinations and well-checks for teens in sports, and you are Christian and have a positive church affiliation, this practice is ok.
