Fluctuating pricing. Poor management. Price went from 450 in Gray, GA to 775 in McDonough GA. Homeowners beware

Date of Service: March 25, 2022 Moved to GA in July 2021. First time septic owner. I asked our neighborhood Facebook group who they used for emptying their septic tanks. Many came back with Wayne's as the answer. Most said they paid in the $400's range for a 1,500 gallon tank, with no other issues going on. I called Wayne's. I left a vm and no one called back after 4 days. I called again and this time I was able to schedule an appointment. The house we bought had never been pumped out since being built so I figured it was time to do so pre-emptive. The original home owners built two, 1,500 gallon tanks, and multiple leach fields. They said they made the leach fields 4x larger than normal. Total cost of the system $11,000 in 2006. They arrived and dug out 4 holes between the two tanks. They mentioned the tanks weren't bad at all considering they had never been emptied. Obviously the original owners were doing something right to keep it up in such great condition. One of the technicians did break one of the concrete lids to the tank. They replaced it. When they left I received a call for the balance due. $1,400. I paid it thinking something might have been wrong during the pump out. They noted absolutely nothing needed repaired or cleared in the emailed report I received after payment so I was confused why the bill was so high compared to what my neighbors indicated. Shortly after leaving I also received a callback from another company. They quoted $395 for a 1,500 gallon tank and $295 for less. Now I was very concerned I had been taken advantage of. $700 per 1,500 gallon tank vs neighbors quotes and the other companies quote is quite a Drastic difference in price. I emailed Wayne's. No response after almost a week. I then called and left a voice mail. I received an email that said their price for service was within $20-$50 of what they normally charge. She also mentioned that other companies quote a lower price and often times end up tacking on other fees or find other things to bill for... Well based on my neighbors and service within the past few months that isn't the case. A neighbor also posted a 3rd companies bill they paid last month for a normal pump, non emergency and it was $500. In fairness, I did not ask what they were going to charge prior to service since most of my neighbors, and those on the Monroe County Reporter Facebook group were all in alignment with quotes all less than $500 for a standard emptying request. Shame on me for not asking and assuming it would be in line with what everyone else was paying, and not a 43.5% difference over that. They did do a good job. But pumping a septic tank out doesn't appear to be an extremely complex task, simply dirty work. So my advice is get a price before the job, especially if you have never had a septic tank before. I will not be using their service again, as I do personally feel I was taken advantage of in price. read more

We had an emergency in our house with our septic tank after calling about 20 companies in Macon and surrounding areas no one has availability, a Friend gave me Wayne Septic's number. I called at 4:45 pm and the came at noon time the next day. They are awesome, the two guys who came to do the job were super friendl!!! Very Thankful with this company!!! read more

Wayne's saved the day! After our horrible experience with Poo Man we desperately searched for someone who could come out right away. We had moved into a hotel as we were unable to use any of our "facilities" and were feeling overwhelmed. Then we came across Wayne's Septic, not only did they come out on a SUNDAY, they took care of everything quickly and even filled in the hole we had dug in a desperate attempt to do a temporary fix ourselves.
