Awesome Dentist, been going to him for over 15 years. Office personnel are so nice and caring!

I have been going to Dr. Wong's office for 10+ years. I recently replaced an old filling (that was done by another dentist). Dr. Wong explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it, which was very comforting. He has a great method for giving the local numbing injection (one of my biggest fears when having any dental procedures). Dr. Wong is knowledgeable, meticulous, thorough, professional, and personable. I have seen many dentists in my lifetime and I can honesty say Dr. Wong is one of the best..... Great Dentist! Kristen R. (R.D.H) is my Dental Hygienist. I look forward to seeing her and appreciate all of the detailed hard-work and effort she puts-in to ensure my teeth remain healthy. Kristen makes my semi-annual cleaning a breeze. She is an excellent R.D.H. The front office staff, Paulla, Jessica, and Sandy, are helpful with appointments and insurance information. Very easy to work with and a friendly, calming vibe when you enter the office. I think many of us have had our bad experiences at a dental office, causing us to not even like going to a dentist. Scam artist! Smiles in your face and charges your insurance through the roof for the most basic dental procedures. He became my dentist for a while until I came across a real, honest dentist. A penny pinching shiiiiister if I've ever seen one. The staff is great but this dentist was not ethical. I do not recommend fellow Yelpers! read more

Today Dr. Wong prepped my four front teeth for permanent crowns. What I appreciate most is his attention to detail and the pride in craftsmanship. He fitted me with a temporary fitting that looks amazing. He truly cares about his patients and wants only the best for them. Sandy was his assistant today and she is so nice and professional working with Dr. Wong. They were able finish the work with the best results in good time. I think my favorite part of this process is they both kept me at ease and explained every action so there were no surprises. Thank you to Dr. Wong and his whole team. I am scared of going to the dentist. My last few dentists had given me such a horrible experience, I've put off searching for a new one for years! I seriously hate hate hate HATED going to the dentist. But I finally told myself I needed to adult it and began searching for a new dentist. Man, adulting is hard! And since I had moved into La Mirada and didn't know anyone in the area, I had to search for one through Yelp and thank goodness I found Dr. Wong! The whole staff are all so nice and friendly and reassuring and very experienced! I still cannot believe how I lucked out and found such an amazing team to help take care of me and my teeth! From Paula and Sandy at the front desk to Sierra, his assistant and Christina, the dental hygienist, all amazing! One of the most important things on my list of finding a new dental office was one that takes this pandemic seriously. They do temperature checks on everyone who comes in and their staff as well. Everyone wears a mask properly! No nose slips anywhere. Dr. Wong is extremely knowledgeable not only in dentistry but in doing everything he can to protect his staff and patients from covid. This was a big big plus for me. I just had two cracked fillings replaced and I was in awe of the results. They don't look like fillings at all! He was so kind and kept checking on me multiple times throughout the treatment to make sure I was ok and that I wasn't feeling any pain. Most other dentists are constantly rushing through every step to get you in and out as quickly as possible, but not Dr. Wong! He explains everything as he's going through with each procedure and takes his time answering questions at the end and does a follow up on what to expect afterwards. If you are searching for a new dental office and are afraid like I was, choose Dr. Wong and his staff. The other yelpers on here were not wrong and I'm so glad I took a chance on them. I would give 0 stars if I could. Made an appointment for my 5 year old son & I at 3pm & 3:30pm. Arrived at the office at 3pm and we were both instantly rushed into separate rooms. I immediately expressed that I was not comfortable with my FIVE YEAR OLD being alone getting his teeth cleaned & 2 of the dentist assistants and Dr. Wong himself ASSURED me he was fine & just getting his teeth cleaned. After several minutes my son is screaming & the person cleaning his teeth begins to express that he needs to see a children's dentist. This wasn't my son's 1st time visiting Dr. Wong but he needs to see a children's dentist all of a sudden? This could have been avoided if you hadn't tried to work on my 5 year old without a parent. Dr. Wong then had the audacity to share that his son had his 1st exam when he was 3--great for your son. This wasn't my sons 1st exam nor was it his 1st exam at your office. It's the 1st time you tried to finish your work for the day early by pushing one of our appointments up and working on a TODDLER without their parent. That statement alone is insane. We have been coming here for years & my husbands family has been coming for decades. I'll be encouraging everyone to never come back after how my son was treated. read more

Because of unwelcome circumstances, we were left without a dentist and didn't know what to do. Dr. Wong was in the same building as our previous dentist. We walked into his office in need of emergency dental work and he welcomed us with open arms. He is an excellent dentist and even better human being. We give him a 10+ rating. read more

Love coming to Dr. Wong's. Like actually do. Teeth cleaning aside ( which I already love, I'm weird like that), I used to be nervous going to the dentist for anything else. But I actually look forward to coming because I KNOW they do a good job. They have amazing staff and I always look forward to seeing them! His numbing job is phenomenal and always tells you 3-5 steps ahead so you know what's coming next. Dr. Wong also gives your mouth timely breaks that you don't even know you need! I had a terrible dentist before that didn't catch a damaged tooth. He fixed me up, gave me a crown with the best legitimate material on the market (not off market stuff) and was extra meticulous for all the prep work. I got to whiten my teeth, get multiple checks for those, got a professional color match from a lab. It's PERFECT! I highly highly recommend Dr. Wong!! I've been coming here since 2017 when I moved to Southern California. It's worth the 1 hr drive from West LA! read more

Well, I like many others, I have had that horrible fear of the DENTIST, say NOOO MORE! Many years ago, I had a really bad experience elsewhere, that I did not want to EVER see another Dentist again. Per my doctor,  I had to have emergency open-heart surgery and needed a clearance from a dentist! I was more afraid of the dentist than having open-heart surgery (The Honest Truth)! My wife and Sons introduced me to Dr. Wong. They ensured me that I had nothing to fear as my wife stated, "Dr. Wong and all of his staff are GREAT,  TRUST ME"! Well, I did. With all my FEAR, I made that initial appointment with his office staff. From the time I made the initial call to the day I stepped foot into Dr. Wong's office, I can truly state that it was a GREAT EXPERIENCE. I never felt so calm and at ease, in a Dentist's office as I did in Dr. Wong's office. The greeting and the service you get from the front desk and all the staff in the office are "OUTSTANDING". You are treated with respect, kindness, friendliness, and like family! From the moment you sit down, to the actual time you are having your dental work done, you can rest assure that you are in GREAT hands. Dr. Wong and his staff truly do care about you as a person first, then a patient second, and that is what I truly love about this office. "TERRIFIED" was the word I thought of prior to coming to Dr Wong! I knew I needed to go to the dentist but I always avoided it. I won't lie, a toothache and a chipped tooth is was made me go and I do NOT suggest waiting for anything like that before you decide to schedule an appointment but when you do make the appointment you will be glad you did!!! When I first made the call to Dr Wong's office I was pleasantly surprised how friendly and quick the office was. They checked my insurance and got back to me immediately. I believe when you are scared of the dentist even the first call is scary! I explained that I was terrified and they reassured me several times everything would be fine. My first visit was GREAT! Everything was explained and I was very comfortable with the family atmosphere. Needless to say I needed a lot of work done because I avoided going for so long, so with that being said I have never felt more comfortable with everyone!! The hygienist for my deep cleaning was AMAZING, gently and explained it all!! I have NO problems attending my appointments! I am no longer terrified, scared, or even get any kind of anxiety going! The office is very clean and they take all measure to make sure It is sterilized. I have been with Dr. Wong for well over 25 years. I come from Montebello and my son drives from Long Beach. My daughter lives in La Mirada and she and my grandkids also come to Dr. Wong. So, I had a really traumatizing experience at a dental office years ago and this left me super scared to visit a dentist at all. In one sitting, 7 of my teeth were pulled out and without being put to sleep so the pain was unbearable during the session and even worse after. 4 of them were wisdom teeth and the other 5 were my regular teeth so you can imagine how insecure that made me and really made me wish I had gotten a second opinion because it definitely has affected the way I eat and plenty discomfort. About 5 years later (without a dental visit) I decided it was finally time to get my teeth checked out and I was super nervous considering it had been a while and I felt like there were so many things wrong with my teeth. I didn't want to be judged and the last thing I wanted was to be scolded. Let me just say, this staff is so amazing. Upon entering they knew me by name immediately which isn't something I expect at all but it is appreciated when they do little things like that. Everything was throughly explained to me and the ladies at the desk were so friendly and amazing and sweet. Dr. Wong, was absolutely amazing. He took the time to study my teeth and explain what was wrong. He actually made me feel like if my teeth didn't need much work at all. Which any other dentist would have suggested so much just for money. When I went back for my consult I expected him to have a list of things that were wrong with my teeth but it was one minor thing and that was it. He takes the time to introduce himself and the staff ask you questions about yourself which make you feel important. The dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth was so sweet and awesome & very careful. Honestly, I don't have one bad thing to say about this office. Honest service: Special thank you and shout out to Dr. Wayne Wong for taking good care of my Cilla. About 2 weeks ago, my daughter was crushed after coming back from a dental office, they told her she needed all new fillings and two crowns. She told me she Yelped them and they had negative reviews. She was going to get a 2nd opinion, so I suggested "why don't you try Dr. Wong? He is a local dentist and does a lot for the community, plus he's a Trojan. " I messaged him and he said to have Prescilla call the office on Monday morning. Needless to say, she went in, he took radiographs and he says she is fine, does NOT need restorative work and there is NO decay. Unfortunately there are people out there who take advantage of young people. I'm so glad my girl followed her gut.
