The owner was the lead worker, up on the lift himself, and he did a few extra things while up on the roof we did not even ask him to do. Most importantly, getting the old liner out became a real problem, and they worked slowly and carefully so as not to damage our old chimney and got it out after spending much longer than they had planned. They were also very careful when taking the crown apart to not drop anything on our back deck. The guys were all pleasant, had good senses of humor, and let us know what they were doing when asked. Very high quality work. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I have NEVER HAD SUCH A PROFESSIONAL JOB DONE as Mid-State Sealcoating did for me today. My driveway is somewhat difficult with a brick wall along one side. The team showed up, listened to my concerns and went over every crack & crevice with me. They then put hot tar down into & along every single crack/crevice. They then trimmed both sides of the grass-line followed by high powered blowing the driveway off. Once 100 % properly prepaired, they hand applied a superior seal-coating over the entire double wide driveway. I can't tell you how impressed I am with the end result. They are priced right up there with the high school kids with a bucket of tar, but the job was SUPERIOR. They never showed up. Gave me the excuse it was a weather specific job, plus they weren't in my area. Well the whole month? I think it's because my driveway wasn't a huge paying job and they picked and chose the higher jobs. If you want to wait to whenever they decide to be "in your area" use them. Today is July 10th still no notification as to when to expect them. I canceled their service.

(Oye vay, our house had needed a lot of work, so we did the inside, and landscaping first.. while the roof waited patiently) This month we FINALLY scheduled to have our - very old, badly maintained, bondoed.. duct taped.. (from WAY back) ..mess of a flat roof ... TOTALLY FIXED! We interviewed 3 companies and went with VANDERHOOF. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we have made since moving to the area. Vanderhoof came in with a swat team of capable roofers, and worked like a band of Army Engineers. They tore off DECADES of badly done roof work, layer after layer after layer. (What a mess of construction debris!) At the end of every work day, they left our yard immaculate. Then they built, and built, and restructured, and redesigned. (Flat roofs need expert attention). The work took a bit longer than they estimated due to the amazing number of layers to be removed, and their painstaking rebuilding process - but the Syracuse weather cooperated *(!!) and the work finished yesterday and it looks fantastic! (Photo shows NEW SPECTACULAR FLAT ROOF! Later I'll dig out the original roof.. it looked like a moonscape of bulbous waves and misguided historic attempts to mesh a labyrinth of disconnected ill selected materials. (We inherited it in 2016. ) I can't recommend Vanderhoof highly enough.
