I went to this doctor complaining of significant stomach pain and left feeling completely…read moredismissed. Instead of taking the time to listen to my symptoms or run any tests, I was told that it was "probably related to my BMI" and that I should "start eating healthier." No bloodwork, no imaging, no real evaluation--just assumptions. What makes this even more frustrating is that I had already lost 60 pounds and was eating extremely healthy. Had the doctor taken even a moment to review my chart or actually listen to me, they would have known that. This wasn't simple heartburn, and I made that clear. Unfortunately, my condition worsened, and it turned out I had a gallbladder infection that ultimately ruptured, leading to a much more serious situation and a longer, more painful recovery. If my concerns had been taken seriously from the beginning, this could very likely have been caught and treated much earlier. Patients are more than a BMI. Dismissing someone's symptoms based on assumptions instead of proper medical evaluation is not only frustrating--it can be dangerous. I strongly encourage this practice to take the time to truly listen to patients and consider their full medical history before making conclusions.

I can highly recommend Dr. Hally; however, I especially want to recognize his scheduling assistant,…read moreAnnie. Because I live out of state, my appointment required careful planning--including booking a hotel, arranging a dog sitter, and coordinating other medical visits. You can imagine how upsetting it was to learn that my appointment might need to be moved. When I explained my situation, Annie responded with genuine empathy and assured me she would do everything she could to help. To my surprise and relief, she was able to keep me on the same day by finding a later appointment time. I was truly impressed by her responsiveness and willingness to go the extra mile. Dr. Hally and Annie make a wonderful team, and while a colonoscopy is never a pleasant experience, their professionalism and compassion made a challenging situation much easier.

I have had it with this place. These people have no consideration for patients, their time, or…read moretheir pain. I have called four times this past week to get refills on my prescription. I kept receiving the same vague response: "We will send a message to Dr. Ansher/his medical assistant". FOUR TIMES. Nothing happens. No refill. No call back. Not even an explanation or a suggestion that I come in for an appointment. I am about to run out of medication and could end up in pain with my GERD, which can cause gastritis and ulcers. I last called this morning and was told (after being on hold for a while) that I would hear something or get a refill by the end of the day. Still nothing. What is going on? Seriously? Apparently Dr. Ansher was out of office all last week (no one told me), and he was in procedures today, but still couldn't find time to refill my prescription? That is unacceptable. Go elsewhere unless you like dealing with people who keep blowing you off.

This review is more about the GI Endoscopy Center with which Dr. Ellison is affiliated…read more I scheduled a colonoscopy with Dr. Ellison and did the prep appointment, which went well with a review with a PA and then colonoscopy prep instructions before I left. The first concern came when I brought home the bag of prep mix from the pharmacy, which was not the product that I had been given instructions for. After a couple of days of text contact (apparently the office's preferred method for patients to contact) that was resolved. Next, the prep instructions were very poorly and unprofessionally composed, with "continue on back" with no back page and moving from step 2 to step 4. Then the office calls and leaves a message with an estimated amount to be paid upon arrival fro the procedure. There should have been no upfront charge for a routine colonoscopy with my insurance coverage. That took a 3 way conference call with the office, my medical insurance provider and myself to resolve. The procedure went well, but after waking up post procedure I was surprised to find that I did not have a mask on my face. It was simply gone. I am careful about wearing a mask due to Covid precautions and am disappointed that a medical office would not operate with better care. The office needs to clean up some of these issues, and it appears that at least the prep instructions have been edited for a clearer and more professional presentation after my feedback regarding this. My interaction with Dr. Ellison after the colonoscopy was brief. I was given a printout of images taken during the procedure as summary, which was sufficient.
