I stop at this store every now and then to get gas when I don't feel like dealing with the riff-raff at the Circle K/BP off 46 and 17-92. My wife and I used to stop here a lot for sandwiches and coffee but pricing has increased and it's just not really worth it anymore unless you're in a pinch plus there is nowhere to sit down to enjoy your meal and I don't like eating in my car. If I'm going to grab and go there are better options. We used to like the coffee but it's just never as fresh as it should be and half the time, they are out of the one I prefer. They cannot compete with Race Track or Circle K on fresh coffee. I honestly wont even buy a coffee at a gas station unless I can get it fresh ground and brewed. Some of these places are still serving coffee from breakfast at dinner time, WTH? Staff are usually friendly and the store is kept clean. They have a decent restroom available and I appreciate that they have a bunch of gas pump stations along with Ethanol Free and Diesel. The intersection here in the morning with all the contractors and School Busses coming and going makes it a PITA when trying to get to work; however, it's not too bad getting in an out of the lot during non-peak times of the day. All-in-all, it's a great convenience store. Yes, there are some things they can do better but Wawa still blows away the 7-11 and Shell in that cluster of an intersection. read more

I came in the morning ordered a chicken quesadilla, and I just got a quesadilla with cheese, I went to the front registers and the lady up front called for a manager I waited 15 minutes watched him walk by multiple times and didn't acknowledge me once. Then I finally was over it went to go pay for another one and then finally got acknowledged this isn't how you get more money this is how you lose business. read more

It is deplorable how far downhill this location has gone. They used to be clean, fast & friendly, and had good food and drinks for a good price. They have no raised their prices and decreased the value of their food and drinks, and of course the staff are all slow and miserable and seem to take joy in taking it out on the customers. At this very moment i've been sitting here for 25 minutes waiting for 2 lattes. For the first 10 minutes there wasnt even someone working the drink counter. Finally a girl came over and she is doing her best to work as slow and aggressively as possible to make sure everyone knows just how miserable in her job she is. This is deplorable. read more

I don't think I've ever had a bad experience at a Wawa, having been to at least one location in almost a dozen states. Our absolute favourite (and the only reason for us to stop at Wawa ever) is the chicken salad hoagie, and this visit was no exception. The consistency in quality is outstanding, and the staff at the sandwich station have always been accommodating with our requests, such as wrapping two halves separately. This may sound basic, but I can't count how many times we've got the usual eyerolls and attitude at other businesses, so major props to the staff at Wawa. Oh, how was our hoagie? HEAVENLY. read more

For some reason there are two listings for this Wawa. The one with the 25th Street address is correct. Anyway, I've been coming to this Wawa for probably six months. It's one of the busiest locations in Sanford. It's convenient for me because it's only a few miles from my apartment. Cops like to congregate here, especially first thing in the morning. There's a lot of space to this location; pretty easy to get in and out. They should've put the tire pump in the back, though. It's next to one of the entrances and cars can form a line that blocks it on certain days. Interior is pretty nice. Usually pretty clean. Restroom is usually pretty good. All staff members I've dealt with have been pretty cool. For some dumb reason the gas prices sign is low to the ground and the prices are actually obscured by the bushes. WTF!? This must be some kind of city ordinance because 7-11 and Shell also have these low profile signs. If that's the case, they could either remove the bushes or keep them trimmed more often so you can see the gas prices are. Though this particular location usually has the cheapest gas in all of Sanford. read more

There are some nights when I have a particular craving and I just can't wait till tomorrow. I mean really is it that serious? Apparently, it's necessary if I need to leave my house at this time of night for Wawa's chicken corn chowder. My soup was perfect; chunky, full of flavor with the right amount of creaminess and spices. My quesadilla on the other hand, was very soft and soggy :). Their service was pretty decent; I purchased my food items with their lovely touch screen and paid for my items at the other counter on the other side of the store and then I walked back to wait for the compIetion of my order. I know every Wawa has the exact same setup (at least the ones built during these past 4 years). I would suggest allowing to purchase items ordered at the touch screen kiosk and pay in one transaction. It's just another simple approach to customer service much like the self check-out counter at the grocery store. I also noticed (I don't like how observant I am sometimes) but during this hour of howling moons or the midnight hour, the freaks come out at night. I greatly noticed a few actions of theft while I'm waiting for my food. Of course, I notified employees behind the counter, but there has to be a better system. After using my card to pay for my gas at the gas pump, the pump did not let me pump any gas and I waited for ab 3 minutes. After that the pump told me to try inserting my card again and by then I had lost patience and left to seven eleven. I come home to find out when I got home and look at my account that im missing 75$ and sure enough the transaction was from wawa where I had spent no money. I believe they took out money from my card when my card was in their system and gave me no gas, Hell the pump didn't even work. Never going there again its a complete scam. read more

Came here for their grand opening. I had received some coupons in the mail for free stuff (a free iced coffee, a free breakfast sandwich, and a free smoothie) so I came in to redeem one of them for my wife and get myself something also.The place was slammed, with easily 30 or 40 people waiting for food/drinks. The people making the food were moving really fast, and were putting food out almost as fast as orders were coming in. The people making the drinks however, were moving in slow motion. Three blenders were sitting on the counter, but the girl was making the smoothies one at a time. And you can argue that they're new and they're still learning, but at least they've been training for a while, so even though this is the store's first day, this isn't their first day. Plus I've been to another store's grand opening, and service was nowhere near as slow as this. And even more frustrating was that a black shirt (a shift supervisor or something?) was literally just standing there leaning up against the wall. The only way that he could be any less productive was if he was in fact the wall itself on which he was leaning. After 14 minutes, I contemplated leaving without my wife's smoothie since it was free anyways, however I had also ordered another drink for myself which I had paid for. So I continued to wait. I finally was handed my two drinks 24 minutes after ordering them, only to get to the car and find out that my wife's strawberry smoothie was in fact a strawberry-banana smoothie. Good thing the wife likes bananas, because I was not going back in there again. Obviously, I'll come back again when they've been running for a while, and see if service improves. ***** I received a "compliment" in regards to this review. Scott D. wanted to make sure that I knew that these employees had only been trained for two weeks prior to their opening day, and that it was my own fault that the place was so busy because people such as myself were "looking for free stuff". Well, Scott, if Wawa didn't want people to come in "looking for free stuff" then they shouldn't send out coupons for free stuff, and if people coming in to redeem coupons that they were sent in the mail is enough to put you behind as an employee, then maybe you should find a slower paced job. And if two weeks of training isn't enough to prepare you to run more than one blender at a time, then again, maybe you're not competent enough for a job inside a gas station drink bar. read more

I love Wawa! They have the snacks and comfort foods you can get quickly. Sandwiches made to order so it's fresh. I do a lot of traveling locally and it's just very convenient. The staff is friendly, gas is usually under the average and the bathroom is usually clean. Can't get better than that! read more

Funny that a convenience store/gas station would be on Yelp. But their hoagies, yes I'm from Pa, are the best in the world. Fresh, reasonable prices, and the restrooms are the cleanest you'll ever use. I drive 30 mins each way to get one. We have had our card hacked twice at this store. Monday we stopped for gas and it declined our card twice so my husband went inside to pay. Sitting at the pump I checked our credit card account and there were 2 pending charges of 1.00 then the 35 charge he did inside. The pending charges were at an Orlando WAWA store while we sat at the Sanford store. Something really fishy is going on with their pumps, how do we get hacked that quickly? We got hacked at this same store a few months ago and once again it was at an Orlando WAWA and both times for $100 plus a .12 charge. Another wawa in central Florida. Super busy around lunch time on Thursday. The parking is crazy because a significant amount of trucks with trailers were trying to use this station to fill up gas. It was interesting that this station has an ethanol fill up for boats. read more

I hate going to this wawa since the 7-11 closed I have been going to wawa to get coffee in the morning and every freakin day it must be 20 customers and one cashier that is very slow.
