My favorite Rocky Hill Wawa location - the red Wawa sign drew me in nightly for a late dinner.
    Brad L.

Let's see, well, Wawa, especially the Rocky Hill location, kept me well fed. I enjoyed almost everything on their menu at least once, but often more, and dined there daily. I often work in other cities and love to find places where I can get to know folks, especially places with friendly staff. Wawa did not disappoint, and for that matter, it never has. I've been a fan of Wawa for many years but living in Texas, where we don't have any, so I only get to visit when I'm on the East coast. I stayed in Princeton, NJ, for almost two months, all my work was along the New Jersey coastline, and my office was in Whippany, so I traveled right past this location every day and night. Their store was well stocked, busy due to the university being close by and just 10-minutes from my hotel. I had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there and stocked up my hotel fridge with Wawa's branded food and drink items. If by a location, especially in Rocky hill, stop in for a great sub sandwich, coffee, flavored ice tea, smoothie, or a pretzel. It will be well worth the visit. Gas is usually cheaper at Wawa as well.

I agree with Vanni, Wawa's is so much better than 7-11 or Quickchek, too bad there aren't any Wawa's in NYC.

This location opened I believe 1/21/25 so it is still fairly new. I have been here 4 times now,…read morethe first visit was a few days after they opened. Naturally, there was a new store glitch with the CC machine so I ordered online while in the store. And have ordered on the app since then just to have my sandwich ready or near ready when I get to the store. No issues for me & they have a frequent purchase program when you sign up. I have ordered the Classic Chicken club twice, the American Wagyu Club & most recently the Chicken Cheesesteak. The club sandwiches were quite stuffed & almost hard to eat (not something I'd eat in my car!). I did find the hand pulled turkey on the dry side though. I also stopped getting salt added as the first time it was a bit heavy handed with the bacon on the clubs. The Wagyu was good, may have to try it solo at some point. Also, my first club was the Medium 10" size & I couldn't finish it, all "Small" 8" sandwiches since then. I was disappointed with the Chicken Cheesesteak. It was not as "stuffed" as the cold sandy's. And the Chicken had an odd texture, a bit chewy. But cheesy as you can hopefully see in the pix. For dining in, they do have about 5 tables. So that's an option if desired. Will be going back to try a few of the other options & will update this review as needed. :)

We were really disappointed on our most recent visit. They must have changed the dough recipe. It was bland and generic. Such a shame because everything else is so delicious. Skip the pizza and get literally anything else. Salads, zucchini flowers and chicken bites are always our favorites.

I genuinely wanted to like this place, but Tino's Artisan Pizza was a mess from start to finish…read more First off, the wait time was ridiculous for a place that wasn't even busy. We stood around awkwardly for way too long before anyone acknowledged us, and when they finally did, it felt like we were inconveniencing them by existing. Zero sense of urgency, zero customer service. The pizza itself? Hugely disappointing. For something branded as "artisan," I expected something special. Instead, the crust was burnt on the bottom and somehow still doughy inside, the sauce was overly sweet, and the toppings were skimpy at best. It honestly tasted like a frozen pizza trying to cosplay as fancy. Definitely not worth the price they're charging. What really sealed the deal was the owner, Tino. Instead of stepping in to improve the experience, he came off as a cocky prick who clearly thinks his food is untouchable. There was this smug, dismissive attitude -- like customers should feel lucky just to be there. Any feedback or questions were met with condescension rather than professionalism. If that's the tone being set from the top, it explains a lot about how the place is run. The whole atmosphere had this weird pretentious vibe, like if you don't "get it," that's somehow your fault. Sorry, but if you're charging premium prices, the least you can do is serve food that's consistently good and treat people with basic respect. By the time we left, we all agreed the same thing -- we should've gone literally anywhere else. There are way better pizza spots that cost less, taste better, and don't make you feel unwelcome. Hard pass. Won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
