A special shout-out to an endangered species, the store-front Wawa. It's no secret that the Wawa chieftains are systematicslly replacing these smaller stores with larger footprint versions that allow them to sell gas, pizza and dinnertime pasta. That's their choice, although I still maintain that convenience store Fettuccine Alfredo is supernaturally repulsive by anyone's definition. This store gets the job done with a friendly staff and ready in a jiffy hoagies that have you on your way in no time. A dying breed that I'll miss but just the thought of Chef Alfredo spinning in his grave amuses me to no end. Five legacy stars. read more

Let's see, well, Wawa, especially the Rocky Hill location, kept me well fed. I enjoyed almost everything on their menu at least once, but often more, and dined there daily. I often work in other cities and love to find places where I can get to know folks, especially places with friendly staff. Wawa did not disappoint, and for that matter, it never has. I've been a fan of Wawa for many years but living in Texas, where we don't have any, so I only get to visit when I'm on the East coast. I stayed in Princeton, NJ, for almost two months, all my work was along the New Jersey coastline, and my office was in Whippany, so I traveled right past this location every day and night. Their store was well stocked, busy due to the university being close by and just 10-minutes from my hotel. I had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there and stocked up my hotel fridge with Wawa's branded food and drink items. If by a location, especially in Rocky hill, stop in for a great sub sandwich, coffee, flavored ice tea, smoothie, or a pretzel. It will be well worth the visit. Gas is usually cheaper at Wawa as well. read more

Since I moved to Oregon eight years ago, I come to appreciate Wawa more. The convenience stores where I live aren't as good. That's why I visit Wawa every time I head back east. My husband and I came here and ordered via the kiosk. He got a chicken sandwich and I got a burrito bowl and salted caramel coffee drink. My husband appreciated how polite and professional the staff were. My coffee drink was better than Starbucks. The burrito bowl was good. I wish they had gluten free bread but I'm glad they have bowls now. read more

This Wawa is not an accurate representation of WAWA. I have had a long time New Jerserian who lived out of the staff for near 5 years come visit me and this location and made comment that this is not a "real wawa" and "real wawa" wouldn't operate as this one does. Corporate would frown upon this location if they were able to do a threw and threw review. The main source of problems would definitely be the stores top management not having their ducks in a row and not knowing how to accurately train the staff. A store can only run as good as the staff runs it and the staff can only run as good as the management treats. The staff is very disorganized, customer messes are not cleaned quickly, on top of this the staff has been seen to actually make messes and not accordingly clean up the right way, shortcuts, shortcuts and more shortcuts. Additionally, what appears to be the majority of the staff has a very negative outlook and appear to create and work in an extremely toxic environment. I've personally seen staff curse on a regular basis both in front of and behind customers backs within earshot. I've been overcharged here many times and have had sandwich orders incorrectly made numerous times. Pathetic location. read more

Visited the store this afternoon. An employee was wiping the coffee counters and walking around with a mask that barely covered her upper lip. I said, Please cover your nose with your mask. She barked at me, I'm asthmatic and can't breathe. I said, I'm asthmatic and don't need to get Covid from you! Five other employees in the store wearing masks correctly, but none of them telling her to cover her nose. So, take your chances catching the virus in that store. This place reminds me of my childhood. I grew up in Montgomery Township and way back in the day this was the place to be and to be seen! The glory days of hanging out in the Wawa parking lot with my favorite shorty sub (the one I scrapped pennies together to get!) was the focal point of a few summers I must admit. Things haven't changed so much over the years I suppose, and I just recently visited. The parking lot was chock full of young kids in high school sipping on giant iced teas and eating subs. Wawa is a New Jersey staple. The convenience store in New Jersey holds a special place in all of our hearts for those who grew up here. I mean they made 'Clerks' the movie about this type of experience. I mean Montgomery isn't Linden New Jersey and all convenience stores have their own vibe, but this Wawa is a classic example of a local hangout where the young at heart gather over subs and soda. I miss those days bicycling 5 miles to this store to shop the small isles for things mom didn't have at home. Nothing beats a meatball shorty from Wawa and an ice cold Snapple. If you are visiting from another state, please stop by and become a patron and join the gang. It's not 5 stars here, but its Wawa and it always comes through in a pinch. read more

Maybe I'm biased, but man I LOVE Wawa. So much better than 7-11 or Quickchek. Also this one in particular is really nice and clean. Their subs are super good especially considering the price. And I always get a stuffed pretzel from here, which makes me feel bad because there is a Pretzel Factory next door haha. Just learned that their soups are killer! Chicken Soup is by far the best I've tasted. Hot, well seasoned, huge peices of chicken. Noodles are great. Totally craving their soup right now. Add in how great their coffee and and the prices and its 5 stars for sure! read more

I can't believe that I haven't written a review of this place yet! I have been here more times than I can count. This is my go to place for a quick cup of delicious coffee. You also can't go wrong with a Wawa sandwich. Echoing other reviews the parking lot here is not the greatest and can be tricky to get into and out. wawa...when i hear the name of this, it sounds like someone crying. however, this should not be the case...esp, when any size of their coffee is just one george washington...yes, just a dollar. you can get a 24 oz cup of coffee, with the multiple flavors they have available (i opted for the hazelnut), for one buck. and the coffee isn't that bad; not too bold, and perfect to get your day started. also, picked up a hash brown as i neared the cash register. while the package clearly stated "content hot," i consider it more luke warm...mcdonalds has much better McHashbrowns (i don't think that's really what they call it...whatever). read more

I cannot believe this is a Wawa. I normally love Wawa but third strike with this one. First time I watched the guy making the sandwiches get into it with my friend after being told multiple times how he didn't want his sandwich toasted when he accidentally selected it. The guy just would not help him out and I had to step in to mediate because the clerk was wrong and started getting hostile. My friends into Karate and was trying to de-escalate it without success so l helped. Ultimately I figured everyone has a bad day and let it go. The next time it was with me, I watched how one of them stood over and berated a new employee as they were making my sandwich. The poor kid just looked nervous and the manager wasn't making it any easier and then he just stepped in and finished the sandwich by literally pushing the kid aside. Tonight was the final straw for this place. I went in and asked for a breakfast sandwich like I always do because I like their breakfast sandwiches. First I'm told it's 12:30 we don't make them till 4 am. I then said I've never had a problem getting one made at any time of the day his reply changed to we are out of supplies. It won't be here till 4 am. He hardly blinked, looked around to notice the stuff was on the counter right behind him. Unless he just completed inventory and magically knew what sandwich I wanted this was a lie. Just seemed like a "I'm to lazy to make one so go away. It hard for me to say this but with all three incidents I just get a vibe they don't particularly like white people. I could be wrong and feel tacky for saying it but the feeling in this place is just so wrong. I cannot seem to see any other thing that stands out as a reason. In all incidents the employee just treated myself or someone else horribly. I left and stopped at the Quick Check down the road and got my sandwich without hesitation or BS. I'll never come back here and would give zero stars if it were possible. AVOID.
