Rutgers Quick Shop - Toxic Environment & Convenience Store The Employee has a Hatred & will verbally show it Toward Military Veterans & Rutgers Students ‍

Rutgers Quick Shop

Hey Everyone, my names Brendon and I'm a Disabled Military Hispanic Veteran from New Brunswick…read moreCommunity and I currently attend Rutgers University atm. Now i dont like Complaining Honestly but this convenience store is definitely Consistently different and xtra to say the least compared to anywhere ive been my whole life in town. Now keep in mind i have a cast on my leg because its Broken and i come to this store all the time because i live near by on Easton but every time i go in i see the same guy i say Jesi Krishna which means Praise Krishna which is a traditional way to say hello & Goodbye and i always mention I frequent the Temple in Edison which is Beautiful and compliment him on Reading books all the time telling him its awesome & he smart for doing so. Though he just makes fun of me, Bullies me and picks on me for my Broken leg because im slower with it. Today was the most Toxic, Abusive, This gusting incident where it was raining outside and he told me 2 seconds after walking in that if i take more then even a minute to look that i have to wait outside in rain until I know what i want then i can come in, totally Unnecessary & Unwarranted, Keep in mind i spend less than three minutes in store never more so he is just being Cruel because I'm always too nice no matter what tbh. I truly don't understand when I spread such good vibes why he has to be so negative, unprofessional, rude, and insulting in everything he says and trust me he is not shy with his vulgar & abusive language! So everyone as a fellow Rutgers student & Military Veteran based on how I've seen him interact with others, I believe that he just has a personal Bias/Hatred for Military Veterans or Students for some reason therefore making it a very Toxic/ Mental Health wise bad environment that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. I truly hope this individual finds peace/Therapy and changes his way but honestly no-one deserves that and neither do i so I'm never going again to his store & in fact id recommend the Bigger and more affordable convenience store 10 feet up from it on Easton called Easton Convenience Stop its Lit !

They said, "it's our vendor it's not our fault," that's what all of the stores say when they sell fake vape devices. They didn't care and I explain to them, which I'm sure they already knew, that I could have dangerous chemicals in it and nobody knows what's in it and they shouldn't be selling it to their customers. They absolutely did not care.

Since it opened in October 2024, I've been going to this Wawa for gas, tire air, and the occasional…read moreiced coffee. It's located at the very busy and narrow intersection between Stelton and Talmadge, so it gets a ton of traffic. I sometimes have trouble finding parking during peak hours, but most customers are there to get in and get out so the wait isn't too bad. This store was one of the first ones I observed to install self-service kiosks, which have not been without problems, but have since alleviated some of the wait time at checkout. The inside of this store feels smaller than other Wawa locations I've been to, possibly because of the second checkout counter in the middle of the store that I've only ever seen used once. The interior layout is otherwise familiar, with the deli station being the back of the store and beverage/coffee stations on either side. Even though this location is supposed to be open 24 hours/day, both the store and the gas station occasionally close early without much warning (other than an empty parking lot). Unfortunately, the gas prices at this location are noticeably higher than those surrounding gas stations, including gas prices at the Wawa on Woodbridge Avenue. The lines aren't quite as long as those at the Costco and Sam's Club gas stations, but the gas station attendants here accept both cash and credit.
