I am from central PA, birthplace and home of Sheetz's Convenience Stores. I learned about WAWA from the "Mare of Easttown" HBO series. I added WAWA to my "Bucket List. I flew from Seattle, Wa to Bradenton, Fl and found this store. The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was worth ten stars on its own. I am an inveterate slob. In the dictionary under "inveterate slob" there is a picture of me. I ordered the sandwich with extra meat and a lot of veggies and sauces. I expected the whole thing to end up in my lap. It was well put together with everything I ordered and NO SPILLAGE. Oh yes, it was DELICIOUS. . I would like to have a place to eat outside; however, I knew that going in so no point deduction. Whenever I'm in South Florida I have to stop at Wawa. I'm a Philly girl and Wawa is a Philly thing. We stopped here for gas and to use the restroom. The restroom was realitively clean. No issues there. I got excited when I saw a whole entire section of TastyKakes and Herrs potato chips. Yep it's a Philly thing. I grabbed the Sour Cream and Onion. They still the same. I wanted me a hoagie but I was in dire need of an Icee because it felt like it was 100 degrees outside that day. My only complaint is a cashier that was working 8/03. She told the customer in front of me she didn't have her contacts in her eyes and couldn't see which pump he was at. When it was my turn I expected my change to be $3.10. She gave me $3. I asked for my dime and she replied I don't give out change kind of rude. I didn't see the change dispenser because I was looking at her and not down. I don't frequent Wawa so I didn't know this is how change is handed out. She could have been a little nicer. read more

I wish I could just order a hoagie from an employee/human. I don't like that laptop machine in order to get a nice meal. I like that you have tastykakes. It's so awesome to see philly treats. I like your wawa raspberry tea. The fact that you have buckle candy by the registI also wish I could get lotto tickets from a human as well.(( I dislike using the vending machine that required exact change. )) imho ---- Update:()I must say that this Wawa is well stocked with tastykakes. Normally I leave five stars for WAWA. It's my favorite place to stop, but this location is sub par. The employees have zero customer service skills and walk around like zombies with a blank expression on their face. The deli is awful and the bathrooms are disgusting. I have been here several times almost 3-4 times a week. The guys that work here are great. Vincent is the night supervisor usually when I'm there and he is usually singing to whatever they have playing on their radio. Ben is usually the one making our food and he's never messed up me and my fiance's order. When I told Vincent I'm not a fan of the rainbow candies they had on the st. Patrick's day smoothies off their secret menu he asked if I wanted chocolate chips instead and it was a great substitution. I needed some breakfast on my way to work, so I stopped on my way to work. I got a veggie breakfast bagel and a coffee: the coffee is good, but the bagel is the worst bagel I've ever had, I couldn't recently bite through half of it, and on a bagel sandwich that's pretty important. read more

The hoagies are very good, only Publix makes a better one but wawa has a larger selection. The soups are great and don't forget to order a warm chocolate chip cookie. They do get very busy at anytime, even on the overnight shift but generally get the food fairly quickly. The checkout lines can get backed up but they always call someone up to open a second and sometimes a third register and the staff on all shifts are very friendly read more

I grew up in NJ surrounded by Wawa 's...this is the best I've found to date here in Bradenton,.FL. EVEN ON THE OR 1ST DAY...the food was made perfectly, delicious fresh sandwiches & they've got the cheapest gas in town, even FREE coffee until 8/30/15. I'll be a regular here, FOR SURE! I just wish that they sliced meat for sale in the deli like back in NJ... being a dedicated Yelper, and dedicated to good customer service in general, I chatted up a few employees as well as customers while I got my free coffee here. One customer even walked me back to my vehicle to get a business card for both myself and my husband! We chatted a bit, I yelped some more. As I was pulling out to leave, a nasty woman dressed in all black, like management, laugh maniacally as I wiave goodbye pulling into a dead end trailer park that had no thru traffic! I'm not sure if she was laughing because she thought I lived in that trailer park, simply because I waved, or because I was friendly to some of the members of the staff and some customers, but no matter the reason... It was a very disrespectful and non customer oriented gesture! She threw her cigarette butt on the ground as she stepped back into the store and that lowered their 5 star rating easily down to a 3! A customer oriented store Wawa should not hire people that do not like, or want, good customers! I did not catch her name, because I was so far away parked on the side, but she was an older woman with glasses and white hair under her visor . She even had some type of cast on her hand... She will be very easily identified by anyone who is looking for her! My suggestion is to stay far far away, she is rude! There was one highlight to my trip however, Louis, their cashier in the tobacco line, was excellent! He just moved to Florida 4 months ago and I wish him the best of luck and both his career at Wawa and with the culture shock that comes with his major move from New Jersey! Keep up the excellent customer service Louis, its employees like you that make a store or break a store! YOU, my friend, are going to SHINE BRIGHT wherever you work! Never again will visit WaWa. On the average I've been going there four to five days per week. Absolutely loved there cheesesteaks and corn chowder soup. I stopped by there four times this week to get some corn chowder soup. Once I even stopped by twice to see if they made anymore. Even though this item was on menue they had now. I faced this issue before, this is the first time I have said anything to manager, On Sat. Nov. 17 when asked when they have corn chowder, i was told wed. To Friday. I looked on menue and they were suppose to have this day too. Which was Sat. When an item is on menue you should make sure you have it for customer, This was 4 times this wee alone. I have had this same issue a number of times befor. This is just the first time I said anything and only the second time I have ever written a review like this about any business. So even though this had been my favorite place to go, I will not step foot in another wawa until I am sure you will serve whatever is on the menue. I have been going to wawa everyday, this one has poor employees who slap sandwiches together don't follow instructions this is not the first time more like 3rd time in 2 months the coffee station ALWAYS messy also low on coffe or creamers. The manager seems to be stocking shelves and being a lookout i guess for the cooler thefts. This place is ran by kids without supervision. Checkout lines always long. I have lived in Bradentucky for quite a while and was curious when Wawa came to town... At first I thought they hailed from Canada owing to their Canada goose mascot! But a friend of mine in Philly informed me Wawa was based in the Northeast... Shortly thereafter I moved to another part of town near the 14th st/53rd Wawa service station, within short walking distance. So I got acquainted with the place for the first time-excellent deli, good coffee/tea/sandwich station.. Although that may depend on who is working behind the counter on any given day...just a friendly tip there, but in the main, they get your orders right. I found the self service drink machines in working order most of the time, except occasionally the ice doesn't drop. As for the staff, they are friendly. Haven't had a bad experience there yet! So my only real complaint is this station's relative lack of grocery items... Meaning small bags of sugar, cans of soup, toiletries, etc. Even a small section dedicated to household essentials would be an awesome touch!
