TNM also has issues with all their oil ending up in the water. And they are way slower on very typical yacht related work. Figure 3 weeks to 2 months on a simple bottom job.

Updating the review I posted last year…read more Let's see - we had a bottom job done. Looked great. Lousy job. They didn't prime the bottom before they painted - so not only did the paint come off in a bunch of places (painted 11 months ago), but it was EXPENSIVE paint and was supposed to last. The worst part is that the shipyard that we took it to this month said that because the priming wasn't done, we started getting bubbles in our fiberglass bottom. Not good. Also, one of the reasons we wanted to have it hauled out at the time was that they said they could maintain our stabilizers. When it came time, they said they didn't have the special tool they needed to do the job. STILL fuming. My advice to you is to stay away.

I brought my boat to Gulf Coast Marine in March of 2024 to get an oil leak fix and the tune…read moreadjusted at the recommendation of my engine builder. After discussions with David he advised he hoped to have the oil leak fixed in 2 weeks and would then start on the tune. He ended up taking until July to get the oil leak fixed. I would never hear from him and it got to I would phone every day to speak with him to be told he would call me back and he never would. About every 6 weeks I would catch him on the phone and he would advise he had to get his big money customers to Desert Storm, Outlaw Shootout, or some other event and then he would get back to my boat. The fact that I like to use my boat as well was lost on him apparently. After July 4th he started on the tune and again I would never hear from him minus the usual having to get people to other boating events. I ended up getting my engine builder to call David to get him moving and that helped. David would work on the tune but could not get it right. I ended up getting advised that the boat was fine except for the tune and to take it to a tuner. When I picked the boat up( in March of 2025) it was disgusting, covered in mildew, my swim steps were damaged where David had not checked my outdrive when he raised it, my passenger seat was torn, and there was a ton of corrosion. David's response to this was "there's salt in the air." I ended up taking the boat to a tuner only to discover that the issue was a fuse, apparently fuses are beyond David and his staff capabilities. In summary if you want to always to be shuffled behind people, never get updates on your project, and your boat neglected, by all means go see David Whelan at Gulf Coast Complete Marine(if you do take your boat here tell him your going to Desert Storm, LOTO or Key West and he may work on your boat). My receipt asked me to leave a review so here it is. In summary this is the worst business I've ever dealt with in any industry.

The guys at the Boat Yard suggested Johnny's, and WOW, thank you Johnny and Mark! Less than one week including the July 4th holiday! We got along great, and maybe they were showing off a little, but I was reasonably afraid I wouldn't see my 22' Whaler Sweet Pea until Labor Day. Their work refurbishing my beautiful aluminum double axle trailer was impeccable, and I saved over $800. I'm 75 and don't wait well, and I sure want to thank these honest, hardworking young men for doing business with me. They may be moving to a larger facility even closer to me in the near future (congratulations), but as the Terminator says "I'll be back!" - and thank you.

I also recommend having an independent marine repair facility to complete an inspection before you buy. These run around $300 but can save you $1000's. Andrew did a great job coordinating with me to have the boat where I needed it when I needed it there. I would do business here again. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because of a document fee that I didn't agree with but due to how flexible and accommodating Andrew was it's not big deal.
