Today I walked through the new much needed mall of hugely talented artists and met so many great people! All decorated for the holidays, it was a very welcoming and warm environment. Elisa Silver, the owner, was visiting businesses delivering cookies, leftover from yesterday's "Friendsgiving". What a pleasure it was to meet her! I talked with Amy, owner of Love-A-Lot Floral and Event Sevices and dropped a pretty penny on all the fun stuff THERE and enjoyed checking out Used 2B New Boutique and Thrift store where Shariann was quite helpful. The warmth and bond these women have toward each other already felt like family. Who knows? Maybe there's a golf lesson or new fitness fun in my future? I'll definitely be back! Cindi DeHart

It was hosted in the parking lot of the Marketplace, and from what I can gather it's a weekly thing. The vendor selling the fresh kettle corn was amazing, as well as a ton of neat artists. We discovered this marketplace is home to numerous local businesses. These include a bookstore, candy store, Italian restaurant, and a variety of apparel shops. There's also a Ben & Jerry's here. ;) The Market Place itself spasn across 7 buildings according to the directory, however it appears that the main building is attached to the Inn and is where the Waterfall is located. It's a cool spot to explore for couple hours to explore before grabbing a bite to eat. It's conveniently located across tve steeet from Meredith Bay and the famous Meredith Sculpture walk featuring local artists. Definitely recommend stopping here.

The mall is not completely desolate, as they are redoing the tiles on the floor, and there are still some shops open for business. However, most of the places are available for lease. Each time I return to the mall, most of the shops I remember from previous visits are no longer there. I must give Powerhouse Mall credit for hosting local fairs, having a hair salon, gym, random clothing boutiques, and an L.L. Bean store and outdoor gear store. They are still trying to maintain the nostalgic 2000s mall culture. Also they have beautiful decorations for Christmas. I really hope Powerhouse Mall survives and finds its way back to thriving like I'm sure it did not that long ago.

Security personnel were walking around to make sure the safety of shoppers. There's a beer garden (was closed) and some good restaurants to dine as well. Lots of directories available at entrance points. They had over 50 different stores, including some popular ones like Gap, Old Navy, Kate Spade, MK, Levi's, Adidas, Pandora, Skechers and Crocs.
