We came in after a day at Dollywood and the clean room, hot large shower and AC was a perfect end to the day. I also had such a delicious vanilla latte at breakfast, I might just have to book a night for another one!

We would have loved to have stayed longer but we considered ourselves lucky to get a room at all during the peak Fall season. We stayed in Room 9 which is on the third floor loft with an interesting pitched ceiling but no windows. The room was great for afternoon napping and it was just footsteps away from the rooftop deck. For a longer stay we would have probably preferred a room on the second floor with windows. I love American history, architecture and Americana so staying in this old circa 1904 bank was fabulous. We even took a peak at the old bank vault that is now used as a wine cellar and pantry inside the restaurant. The hotel staff here is top notch. Everyone was so welcoming and I appreciate that the hotel called before our stay to see if we wanted to make a reservation in The Bistro. The Bistro is a small, quaint, refined restaurant that books full for its dinner service so it's nice that they make sure hotel guests have an opportunity to book first. Our dinner in the Bistro was fabulous - I had the filet while my husband had the Ettouffee. We also had breakfast at The Bistro the following morning which was also very good. In addition to the five-star staff and cozy room, we loved the location of The Everett Hotel. It was walking distance to everything in town including shops, restaurants and the train station. It was also a short drive to Smoky Mountain National Park. As an added bonus, it is right next door to the Swain County Heritage Museum. We were conveniently able to park behind the hotel. Other conveniences we appreciated were the filtered water and coffee in the hallway. A special shoutout to Daniel who made us feel so welcomed.

My boyfriend and I don't need much and usually like to find off-the-beaten-path places but something about this little house in town spoke to me. I can not express how perfect it was for us! Very nice, character house and very comfortable. Rooms are cozy with antique furniture and a "your grandma's house" kinda feel. Breakfast was AMAZING.... I'm a southern girl and look forward to country breakfast and this beat out any breakfast I've had in a while! Price is VERY VERY reasonable for the hospitality and amenities offered. We are adventurers and adrenaline seekers so I wasn't sure how the B&B speed would work for us (we never want to be the "rowdy ones", coming in muddy or late and disturbing the "romanticals"). This Inn is perfect for EVERYONE. During our stay, there were 2 families with children, a backpacking couple, the musicians that played the Saturday night show at the local brewery, and of course us (rafting/biking/hiking and a little bit drunk each night). You will be comfortable here, no matter what you're speed. The best part of this whole experience is the Innkeeper, Luke, and his wife Layla. What an amazing, interesting guy! And so kind and hospitable. I would go back to this place just to get a chance to hang out with this guy more! STAY HERE. You'll love it.

Seriously, if you have been searching and researching places to stay you can stop now and book here. We stayed in the Laughing Water Yurt and this being our first Yurt experience we were blown away! Some may call this glamping and that's fine call it what you want but I will call it the best place I have stayed at to date and it was 10x better than a hotel or an AirBnB. Jeanetta was so welcoming and hospitable and checked in on us via email and was also very easy to get a hold of with any issues. The Yurt itself was amazing! Pictures and words will not give this place justice it looks so much better in person. Not to mention you're only 20-30 mins away from the Great Smoky National Park. We are already in the process of booking again in the future. 10/10 recommend!

Last year, had Internet & TV Problems all 4 nights of stay. Even had a Tech guy come in who still couldn't fix the damn issues. This year, had the same internet and tv problems again the last 2 nights of our stay. Decided to forfeit these last 2 nights and get out of this damn problem(s) place. Enough is Enough!!! Also, the hot tub water seemed dirty and no disinfectant tablet was in the floating device, completely empty. Had to have maintenance lady come for 1/2 day and completely drain all tub water, scrub the nasty sides & bottom, refill and add disinfectant tablet. Already mistakenly got in filthy tub one night. Just POOR MAINTENANCE ISSUES all around. In addition to poorly maintained gravel road that is so bumpy we probably need to replace vehicle shocks. Our $,$$$ with go elsewhere next year and beyond. Never Again!! BEWARE Folks.
