I fully intended on moving here and was very excited because the reviews seem pretty good and the property looked beautiful on the outside. Originally, when I inquired over the phone, the office staff was pretty nice and seemed welcoming, but that changed once we went in for our first meeting with Pam. She is an older lady with a very rude country attitude who seemed to not like us for no apparent reason. When we sat down with her, she barely had any units For the timeframe we were looking for even though it was four months out. We were offered no renovated units and we're not even able to tour the floor plan we were interested in. That day we were shown a model Guadalupe unit that seemed pretty nice but was very old and musty. I really loved the property But I wasn't too sure because I hadn't been able to see the floor plan I was interested in.There were only two comal units for that timeframe And it seemed like the office staff pressured us into applying ASAP before they were taken by someone else. Even though we still hadn't even seen it. We sent an application paid the admin and application fee and then I heard nothing for about a week. After a week, I decided to give them a call because it Was odd to me that I hadn't heard anything. I was met with attitude from Pam as soon as I was able to get a hold of her about how she was so busy and had so many other leases she Didn't have time for ours. Finally, after constantly calling this apartment complex for updates, they told us that we were accepted, and that there was a comal that I could see (not ours). At that point, I was already frustrated because every update I received was because I took time out of my day to call them. I never once received a call updating me on my application from them.
On the day that I arrived to see the Open comal unit Pam, who I had told I was coming wasn't there so I had to wait For her to return from her lunch break. Then she had me get in my own car and drive over to the unit instead of taking me in the golf cart Which I thought was odd. When we arrive to the unit, I realize that I had wasted weeks of my time Going back-and-forth with these people over an apartment that truly wasn't worth it. The unit that I was shown was one they were preparing for someone to move into. And it was a hot mess, It was dirty, smelly, The appliances were extremely outdated, The cabinets were two different colors, It smelled as if the maintenance man had been smoking cigarettes While he repaired things, The sinks and bathtubs were stained yellow and brown, The floors were scuffed, And overall, the apartment was not what you see on their website. It seems that this apartment only takes care of their renovated units and doesn't care to even fix up their older units.
At this point, I still hadn't received any sort of confirmation that we were approved Or even received a welcome Home letter, When I called and spoke to the other front desk lady, she told me she couldn't find our welcome letter anywhere And that I had to keep waiting to hear from Pam . In the end, I decided that it wasn't worth the headache and if I did move In there, I would have to constantly battle with horrible office staff And an old stinky apartment. Now that I have stopped responding, I will receive three word emails From Pam saying "sign lease now". I'm not sure if all of this is because me and my husband are a Hispanic couple But this office staff and the management company ,who I tried reaching out to you and never heard back from, Truly suck. It didn't take long to find a much better option. If you intend on coming here, please do not let the office staff convince you to settle for an unrenovated unit. read more
