was a customer for 15+ years. The last 3 years things change. The shop was now staffed by a bunch up unqualified young people working on vehicles. The kicker was Glen said he would replace a rear axel piece and never did. He pretended to be a GOD fearing man but turned out to be a snake in sheep's clothing. I paid for work that was never done. Could have been seriously injured should the part have failed while driving. Glen Waters will get his just due. He has lost the business. If he works for another shop, RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN. Now he is no longer taking phone calls. SHAMEFUL!!!! read more

Held my car for 6 months and continued to ask for money. I paid over $6000 and received my vehicle back the same way i dropped it off. I contacted the police, Better business and the state of Md business. Nothing was done. A total FRAUD read more

My mother was scammed by this place for months. They charged her for work they never did, and they lied to her every time she asked for an update. Only after contacting an attorney and working through her credit card company was she able to get her money back. This is a fraudulent business. They loan out their customers' cars to other customers without getting consent, and they don't honor their word. The owner may seem friendly, but he's a crook. Stay far away from this place. read more

Worst I've ever been to. Be scammed by him too many times. Didn't find out until I took it to a different service place. He said he did to our car that was never done and then some of the work that was done was so shady. It's not funny save yourself the money and the troubles and don't take your car to him. read more

Waters is out of business now. However I was a customer for about 6 years. He act as if he was so nice and cared about my truck. He gave me a free oil change once in a while and stated to me that I was a valued customer. I trusted him to fix my vehicle. Unfortunately he kept my vehicle for over 10 months because, according to him, the parts take a long time coming in and that is the delay in completing the work on my truck. He lied to my face many times. When you questioned him, he always had a sad story for why my truck is still on his back lot and nothing has been done. For example, I have brain cancer, my wife is divorcing me or my daughter was raped or I had have RSV and that's why there has been a delay in fixing my truck. I observed Waters many times and thought to myself, this man is suffering from a mental disorder. The joke of all was that he was going to give me a car that was left to him by another customer because he kept my truck for over 10 months and did not fix it. I still have a coolant leak and have to put coolant in my truck at least twice a week. I paid him $3500 to start work on my truck. I never received any paperwork regarding what he did on my truck. Everytime I requested paperwork, he made an excuse stating he had to get it together and will have it ready for me. Well I never received it. The lift fell with my son's truck on it and his truck was total and Waters took his time to contact his insurance company. Then he lied to my son that his truck was at the body shop but when my son called the body shop, he was informed that the truck was sent back to Waters because the insurance company said it was a total and the money for what the truck was worth was given to Waters. Yes, Waters kept the money and tried to fix the damage truck. My son's insurance company paid the loan off on my son's truck, but now my son has to purchase another vehicle. I'm very disappointed in Waters. I thought he was a nice person. I am so happy that he is no longer in business and can not lie or steal from his customers with a straight face. God bless you Waters read more

On a road trip from New York to DC, my air conditioning gave out in 95 degree weather while in Maryland. After calling numerous shops and being told it was too late in the evening or I didn't have an appointment, Waters said I could stop by for help. They took my car right in, diagnosed the problem, and went above and beyond to get me back on the road. From sending someone to pick up a car part in the next town over, to staying open late to finish same day repairs, Waters was an absolute life saver. I can't say thank you enough for your help! read more

Glen Rivers and his staff are not trustworthy people. I paid him cash to repair an oil pan leak. This is a BMW and they are not BMW mechanics. Instead of saying this, they accepted the job. He was recommended by my brother, but my brother did not know that Glen Rivers and Waters Auto Service operate in a deceitful manner. After handing Glen Rivers cash, he said," I'll have to email you the receipt. Since my brother recommended him, I thought it would be OK. But I was wrong. He never emailed me my receipt; and when I tried to follow up, he and his staff ghosted me. This became a red flag for me, so I had his work inspected. To all who read this, please take heed to this review. He charged me for work that was not done by Waters Auto Service. Glen waters and Waters auto Service are "sidewinders". They can't be trusted. People with little to no moral fiber operate like this; they should be ashamed of themselves. Although, I'm sure their not. When I brought this to the attention of my brother, he can only look down, and shake his head in silence. My brother meant well, but we were both deceived by a confidence man (CON MAN). I forgive my brother but not the low down, yellow belly, bushwacker Glen Waters and Waters Auto Service. I'm extremely disappointed in their behavior, and I'm still kicking myself for falling for the con. So please readers; if you already had repairs done by Waters Auto Service, inspect his work, or hire someone to do it. I know... I know... that's an additional expense. Unfortunately, this is the extra step that one must take when doing business with vermin. Any person who reads this review and still takes their car to Waters Auto Service; can never say ,"I didn't know". read more

I was told by the dealer and NTB that I needed front brakes and a new battery on my Mazda CX5. They both quoted me close to $700. A friend told me about Water's and suggested I get a quote from them. $505 for everything. Great work, done on time and best price !!!!! read more

I paid them over $400 to fix my AC, And THE DAY I GOT IT BACK, it starting over heating. When I called Glen or whatever his name is, he didn't seem concern and wanted to charge me another $300 to replace what they broke. WONT BE GOING BACK read more

Waters Auto Service was recommended to me by a friend. Even though this mechanic was much further than the shop I had initially planned on taking my car to, it was worth the drive. The shop was actually open on a Sunday and to my surprise, quite busy. The owner Glenn Waters and his staff were courteous, professional and honest. I plan on making this my MD mechanic. read more

They are THE BEST mechanics around. I was in the market for a new "Car Surgeon" (cause that's what mechanics are to me) and wanted a family owned business and not a franchise. Well OMG! my Dodge Charger drives like a dream @ fair prices and no hustle. Glenn, Eric and Erica Waters thank you Sooooooo much for wonderful service at fair prices with a smile. I Will drive back to Waters Auto Service in Edgewood MD for Alllll my car needs. They now have a new customer for life!! read more

I was driving on 1-95 and heard a noise when I braked at the toll booth. I first went to another garage but they were too busy. Next, I tried Waters. A BAD decision I know I was going to need brakes, infact I had bought some earlier in the week. They got me in and out quickly, there price was reasonable, but here's where it went all wrong. After paying and leaving, I wanted to make sure I had the key to my wheel locks. It was on my passenger seat but with a lug nut attached and "stripping" the key. It was so wedged on I couldn't get it off. Being 400 miles away from home if I had got a flat tire I would've never been able to change it. I returned to Waters. When I got there I was livid. They sent me out there front door knowing that if I got a flat I was screwed. They eventually got the lug off the key and then went offensively after me. All the mechanics came from the garage and their overtones were definitely hostile. These are DANGEROUS PEOPLE. Avoid them like the plaque Not a good experience. Never Again ! read more

Love this place! I have taken my car there for service several times and will continue to do so in the future. They are so kind, professional and courteous! It's hard to find a place that has mechanics skilled and experienced in working on foreign cars, but Glen and his mechanics definitely are masters at it...and their prices are not astronomical, like you'd pay at a dealership. I highly recommend them!! read more

The owner of the company is very dishonest. I brought my car in a Toyota Corrolla. I got in a small accident and asked that he repair the back tire. The owner had my car for 3 months and never looked at my car. I called him daily and would drop by the shop and asked if there had been progress. He kept saying he did not get time to look at it. I dropped by again and for the last time and he stated that he had looked at it and that the car was totaled. He stated that the frame was bent. He stated he would do me a favor and get rid of the car and he wouldn't charge me anything. It was until he said this I began to wipe the word FOOL of my face. I had my car towed out of there immediately and off to a reputable mechanic. That mechanic said you just need a left axel and a tire. Charged me $350 and I have been driving that car for the last 4 years without any other mechanicle problems at all. Please don't waste your time or money with this guy read more

Good, honest, high quality service. I've been there twice, and haven't had to deal with the "up-sell" you usually run into at a dealership's repair shop. No need to sift through and determine what you need to have done and what the dealership is pushing on you to jack up their profits. Definitely plan to continue taking my car there. read more
