Beautiful mature shade trees abound on this property provided for a surprisingly cool breeze on a hot Texan mid-July day. Nice 8ft deep clean and fresh and cool swimming pool, and yes I took a refreshing dip in it. PS, there's a net to skim the leaves . I am a local (Irving Tx) camper with a travel trailer and I thought I would check it out midweek and i really liked it, nice neighbors, got some "honey-Do's" done, and chilled out. There is a train track bordering the property but, the train conductors only tap on the horn when passing by, rather than laying on it as i have seen elsewhere.

However, when we pulled into the park, we were met with a much different view. A gravel lot situated between several mobile homes is where RV's were parked. No trees, no grass, and no lake access. Besides several run down mobile homes, there was a run down building, presumably the office and laundry facilities. We did not stay here, nor have a reservation. We drove through to check it out because we were looking for a place to stay in our 5th wheel for several months. I definitely would not have felt safe or happy to stay there.

There isn't any water in the fitness center so you have to leave to go to the office to get some or the bathrooms. Traffic in the area is a mess so plan on sitting on the 2 lanes roads for a minute. Internet connection is always struggling. The showers are beautiful but while the looks were focused on, the plumbing was not. The toilets typically sound like they are running. When I arrived, the cleaning was a bit questionable but about a third of the way through, they became exponentially better.

However, the dog park is constantly full off waste and despite there being waste bags, and can for dog piles as well as a giant sign on the gate that says you need to clean up after your dog, not to mention when you check in, the staff tells you you need to pick up after your pet and it's listed in the rules and newsletter dog owners have exactly zero respect for the rules. It appeared to be residents with large and multiple medium to large dogs leaving piles in the dog park as well as the walking trails. Dogs can get parvo virus, hookworms, and other diseases from irresponsible pet owners. So if you don't have a dog I would recommend a stay as it's in a nice area and easily accessible to many activities but if you have a dog, watch out for the abundance of dog waste.

(Judy, Robin and Betty) We stayed for 4 months and we're on the waiting list for about a month. But we knew this was the location we wanted to stay at so we waited. This place is safe, the neighbors were very welcoming and we had no issues during our stay. In fact we had a family emergency and trusted the people here so much that we gave the front desk keys to our place just in case there was an emergency when we were gone. The front desk gals are amazing like stated above, the maintenance guys are fast and attentive (also will be the first people to greet you) and Chris takes so much pride in maintaining the parks garden. We had a premium spot (43 foot trailer and 2 vehicles, with two dogs) we didn't have grass on our spot but that was ok! There is 2 VERY large areas to walk your dogs in. & If we wanted to move to a different spot we could have but we really enjoyed our neighbors so we didn't move. There is grass all around the park in addition to the large area and lots of poo stations set up conveniently around. Also really appreciated the propane refill on sight. Not to many places open on the weekend for a refill... That being said, we highly recommend this park! Everyone was very respectable and enjoyable.
