She and the owner worked with us when we moved before the two month minimum. All the amenities that you need right on site! Free laundry use (very nice laundry room!) plenty of shelters for storm season, and on-site storage. The only regret I have is not moving here sooner! The price is nice too for covered or un-covered lots. Was also very quiet (besides the train but trains never bothered me). Loved seeing some of the animals every day when coming home. The only reason we are not still living here is because we moved into a house in Denton. If I move back to an RV in the area, This is where I would move back to!

I don't know the people that left the reviews either but what I can tell you is this. The person that claims their kids couldn't play at the playground because it was a "mess" is something else. It's sand and plastic. I walk my dog right next to it daily. Never once have I seen it a mess. The grass does grow into the sand a little bit around the edges, that would be the only thing that could remotely constitute a "mess". I'm sure they could dowse the sand with Round-Up, but I would rather have some grass around the edges than let my kids play in toxic sand that looks "neat" around the edges. As for the 2 negative reviews left on the same day, they are obviously projecting when they use the terms "Karen's" and "childish". I've never once been yelled at for my speed. I drive 8-10 MPH through here. If they are yelling at you for your speed, you are probably driving 20 MPH, which is too fast for an RV park. Claiming that you have to do 3-5 MPH is someone lying with no shame. It should be obvious by the claim that the husband sits around and smokes weed and yells at cars all day. I mean, just think about that. Is a pot smoker the type of personality that would yell at cars all day? And would a park host really sit outside and smoke weed all day right in front of the guests? I just felt compelled to put some truth into the mix here, the park hosts are very nice people, and ownership is on a level of a kind and gentle soul that would take in mistreated exotic animals at his own expense. In fact he did that so much he ended up with a zoo. I can assure you the man didn't end up with a zoo as a scheme to make tons of money. The man is a saint and clearly puts in more financially than he gets out of it. Now, if you want an honest review of the place here you go. The RV park is set back off the road a little ways so there aren't any random people that drive through (IE It's very safe and secure) There's a convenience store / McDonald's / DQ within walking distance. If you are a resident you get free laundry, which is a great benefit! No quarters to worry about, just do your laundry... for free! They have 2 very stout tornado shelters so you have somewhere safe to go if a big storm is coming. There's large self storage / shipping containers available and they have extra storage areas if you have a boat / utility trailer etc... There are 2 large dog runs and lots of open space to go on a nature walk / walk your pet if you have one. They have an on site LP filling station, a pavilion with barbecue grills, lots of seating, a playground, and you will probably develop a favorite camel after a while. They like to sit up by the road that leads back to the RV park and every single one will watch you drive by. Lots of people stop to pet them on their way in and out. It's a little bit off the main road so it adds 2 minutes to your commute, but that's a great thing in my opinion. nobody comes back here unless they live here. There are some train tracks at one end of the RV park, and the trains do blow their horns, but they are usually pretty respectful with it and they don't bother me at all. Could the place be nicer? Sure, anything could be nicer. If you aren't pretentious about the grass looking like a golf course or the edges of the playground having crisp lines and think 10 MPH is a reasonable speed, then you should be very pleased with your stay here. If you like your money going to a guy who uses it to take care of animals and educate kids rather than a corporation with shareholders, then you will get an extra sense of comfort in knowing you made the right choice for a place to stay. https://youtu.be/oi6ONC4_JWY

Sorry guys, this is going to be long winded, but please read. This is literally a shout-out to the…read moreowners of the awesome RV park that I am at right now. I would recommend them to anybody and everybody in this area. Alright guys, I have been camper living for pretty much 2 and a half years now, my fiance and I just recently went full time. As a traveling construction worker doing water tower foundations our jobs usually don't last more than 3 weeks at a time, so I'm always moving. With that said, most of our jobs are in Texas. I'd say at least 75-80% are in the greater DGW area. After that I'd say 15% is also in texas6, just further south or west, depending. Well as everybody knows, Texas is going through a record breaking weather pattern that is basically unheard of in this area. **If you're a northerner that's gonna come on here and tell me to suck it up, I don't want to hear it. Scroll on and move along, I don't care and your comment will not be heard. ** Well, last night we had about 6 inches of snow at the park that I am at in Pilot Point, TX. Some of the highest in the area in north Dallas. I woke up this morning with no power, the camper was getting cold. It was maybe 4 degrees outside. So I went to my backup plan, I went to my 2019 Ram 2500. I was going to back in, plug it up and run the heat off of the truck. Had a full fuel tank for that reason. Well, my plan went to shit when the truck wouldn't start. The diesel fuel gelled up in the sub zero wind chill temps and I was dead in the water. For the next day or 3 the whole state of Texas is going through rolling blackouts. I had maybe 10-15 minutes of power for every hour. Which meant that I had 15 minutes to try to heat my camper. As soon as the sun went down the temps inside started dropping fast. I was in a waffle shirt, a hoodie, and a Carhartt and was still getting cold between spurts of power. So, I had a generator in my job trailer for work, also parked on the property, but I didn't have an adapter for my camper. I called Robert, the park owner and asked if maybe he had one. He didn't. He didn't stop there. He called around to every camper in the park to ask if there was one available and then found me one. Not only that, I only had about half a tank of fuel in the generator and nothing in my fuel can due to being depleted on the last job I had. Knowing that my truck was down, he took me all around town to find gas, only one place local wasn't out, and bought the gas for me and my dog to stay warm throughout the night. I literally can't praise this man and his wife enough. They have literally went above and beyond for a total stranger just passing through on a one month trip. Lake Ray Roberts RV park is definitely an amazing spot to check out if you're ever in the Denton area of Texas. I promise you will not be disappointed. Sorry for the long post, but I felt it was necessary to really send home the fact that this man is one of the best park owners I have ever dealt with in my time living in a camper.
