The grounds were immaculate. The doggy park was clean as well. People were respectful to individual campsites - no loud noise or encroachment. It was close enough to drive to the Fort Worth Stockades for dinner and rodeo as well as local food was abundant, and very nice. I will be returning!

The weekly folks are put on the main drag so you hear and see every vehicle that goes in and out of the park. Harley's and loud trucks are fine but not at 6am rounding the corner all morning long. The spaces are small and tightly packed. The WiFi is terrible. They did hand off a goodie bag upon check-in of 8oz water, a bag of chips, and cookies. And the office lady stopped at my site to see if I needed anything after the awful run in with the mtc man.

This RV park is out in the country, but within 5 miles of a Walmart and several other places you'd want to have near you to eat or buy other types of supplies. The park over all is quiet, except for quite a few barking dogs, especially late at night when it's very irritating, and an occasional train will go by and sometimes it is very loud. I'm renting the space monthly so all utilities are paid for one price, and it's reasonable. The previous owner was great, and working very hard to make this park better, but the current owner is just interested in money. Don't pay any attention to the pool picture, there is no pool. Wi-Fi is great sometimes, and doesn't even work others. There is a laundry facility available, which is free, but full of old machines. My spot is fairly level, so it wasn't difficult to get set up. There are a lot of things that aren't complete and I doubt any real improvements will ever be made. Overall I give this place 2 stars mainly because it still looks terrible even after being here for over a year, and I can't really spend any time outside because of either barking dogs or because there's no real patio here. Whoever set this place up originally did not know what they were doing when it comes to locating sewer, water and electrical points. Bottom line this place is just a dive. I have spent time in over 300 RV parks, and this one is way down at the bottom of my list of desirable places. If you're staying for just A little while like overnight or something this place isn't that bad but if you want to stay here long term I'd find somewhere else, and there are a lot of other places in this area that are better than this one.

There is a lot green area behind the outside row to walk your dog or you can go just down the road. It is close to the main road of 287 but far enough away not to hear the traffic. The owner is very friendly, and responsive. He really works hard to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Communication from staff was the worst I've ever experienced-basically nonexistent. I got one live call, but never saw a single staff member during my entire week long stay. The road going up the hill is steep, has deep ruts, and is in terrible shape. Some place are nearly washed out. Campsites are not particularly level, water pressure a bit on the low side; and the laundry room, toilet and shower are all combined in a single uninsulated shed. If you need to do laundry and Simone is using the toilet or shower, well, you'll just have to wait until there done-unless of course they're not very modest. The hot water for the shower is small, so be quick on the shower if you like a hot one-the problem there is the water spray shower head is a lame energy saver type so water volume is poor, which means you have to stay longer to get washed off properly. A big annoyance, the light switch by the door is a motion sensor which after the first two minutes switches to about a 30 second cutoff! So you have to step out of the shower every 30 seconds to get it to turn back on, unless you don't mind taking a shower in total darkness. Overall it wasn't bad, but just not good enough either for me to want to return again anytime soon. Eagles Nest may have been a great park in its past, but I would not recommend this to anyone unless they make some deep discounts on their rates, or make some serious upgrades to their amenities. A good start would be to repair the road going up the hill to the main park before it turns into a luge track.
