She's helpful, polite and very kind...as long as you are not causing trouble. Cause any trouble...any at all and you will be gone. Donna does not play games... As a result, the property is a very safe and clean place to live! The people are friendly and look out for each other. Most of the residents are full time RV livers who have lived in the park for many years, and most will tell you it's because of Donna.

Large spaces that are level! and have both 30A and 50A on them along with full water and sewer connections. Beautiful mature shade trees abound on this property provided for a surprisingly cool breeze on a hot Texan mid-July day. Nice 8ft deep clean and fresh and cool swimming pool, and yes I took a refreshing dip in it. PS, there's a net to skim the leaves . I am a local (Irving Tx) camper with a travel trailer and I thought I would check it out midweek and i really liked it, nice neighbors, got some "honey-Do's" done, and chilled out. There is a train track bordering the property but, the train conductors only tap on the horn when passing by, rather than laying on it as i have seen elsewhere.

The positives are that the property it's self is very beautiful as well as the community. The residents are super respectful and nice. Very disappointed and it's only the first month. The setup time was so fast and easy! This is a great place for newbies to park. And you get your own table and quite a bit of space. They have tons of spot options for different rig lengths. You should be able to find whatever you need, but definitely book well in advance - this place is popular. The water views are pretty and it's a large campground, so evening strolls are a must. There's also a cute little convenience store on the premises, so I made mandatory pit stops there during my walks to grab an ice cream. This place is kid-friendly, elderly-friendly, and everything in between. There is also a wine-tasting place in town that's fairly close to the campground that I walked to (it's a long walk, but totally doable if you wish to try out some wine in a place called Grapevine). My only complaint was that this campground felt like a business rather than a quaint getaway. You arrive and they give you this big fancy folder with the campground name on the front and all kinds of information inside. Sure it's helpful, but it seemed excessive and a lot of wasted paper - I thought to myself, I guess that's partly why the rates are high. It would be better to give guests a simple one-pager, and then have a shelf of brochures for people to take if they wish. You may find it silly, but it rubbed me the wrong way. I prefer places that have a more go-with-the-flow small business feel, rather than a tourist resort. Also, there is a gate at the front entrance, so if this is something you care about, you're in luck.

The residents in the park were mostly friendly, the park is very close to many services within Weatherford, the showers are nice (the stalls are very large), and the laundry room has plenty of washers and dryers at very reasonable prices. I gave the park three stars is because their website says that they are pet friendly and I found that not entirely true. After reading the very restrictive/confusing pet rules and the statement that says that management can change the rules at any time, it turns out they are selectively pet friendly. I specifically asked about putting up a small fence when I arrived, my second day there I received a txt asking me to take it down when not in use. I understand from a neighbor that they are concerned about killing the grass, it was mostly dead when I arrived. Be aware that this park will fine you for several different infractions and the park rules are apparently selectively enforced (such as no more than 3 potted plants). I did not have cell service (T-mobile) at this park and the WiFi was awful, I had to go into town to make any calls or send txt messages. It is important to also note that there are very few trees, so if you are going to stay there when it is hot make sure you have light blocking shades for your RV. The spot I was placed in was serious not level and it is also good to know that there are a ton of feral cats on the property (one of the residents feeds them). I did not visit the dog park because it was in a location that appeared to me in the area where private residences are located.

After the gate is closed if you need to be let out, you have to call the police. But there's so much to do here! Not just the swimming area! There's a hiking trail, playground and walking trails. Beautiful views and plenty of space to social distance yourself. The trails are available for no fee as far as I could tell, but the swimming area near WhoaZone is $5. They do not take cash, only debit/credit card. The swimming area has a playground and picnic areas. I think there's a spot to cast your kayaks off over there too, but I stayed near the beach and didn't explore anything else. I saw vehicles with kayaks going over on the other side. If you have water shoes, I'd say bring them and a beach umbrella as there's no shade. The sand isn't too uncomfortable to lie in, there's just cigarette butts here and there. But I definitely recommend visiting for the day or even camping if you're into it!

The rock bottom extends out a couple of yards into the water, where it turns to clay. For swimmers, the rockiness is less of an issue - get past the rocks and swim/float your heart out, but the rocks along the shore make it significantly less enjoyable for babies. Running along the shore and splashing in the shallow water is painful without water shoes. For a true SANDY BEACH, check out Twin Points Park at Eagle Mountain Lake or Little Elm on Lake Lewisville instead. Twin Points is nicer, if you're deciding between the two. Pros: it's a pretty spot, with nice views. Plenty of parking - $5 per car. CREDIT/DEBIT ONLY. There is a dock for jumping off (which we didn't notice until we were leaving, sadly!). Not very crowded on a Saturday in August. Pretty clean, other than the bathrooms. Alcohol permitted (or if not permitted, certainly not regulated). Days swimming at the lake are SO MUCH FUN! Aside from the rocky shore, the only big negative was how gross the bathrooms were. We were there pretty early, so clearly they aren't cleaned daily. Also, the whoa zone is SO EXPENSIVE!!!! It looks fun but I cannot wrap my head around the fact that people pay that much to be there. It's $22 a person for ONE HOUR! Mon-Thurs they also offer a $50 all day pass. For our family of 7, I consider that cost prohibitive. Overall, it was a fun day at the lake, but Meadowmere Park is just not the best DFW has to offer.
