It was close enough to drive to the Fort Worth Stockades for dinner and rodeo as well as local food was abundant, and very nice. I will be returning!

The weekly folks are put on the main drag so you hear and see every vehicle that goes in and out of the park. Harley's and loud trucks are fine but not at 6am rounding the corner all morning long. The spaces are small and tightly packed. The WiFi is terrible. They did hand off a goodie bag upon check-in of 8oz water, a bag of chips, and cookies. And the office lady stopped at my site to see if I needed anything after the awful run in with the mtc man.

This airport also has one of the worst baggage claim systems i've seen yet with stuff from multiple flights being piled on to the same belt at the same time so it takes forever to get your stuff. In positives, the shuttles to hotels and the rental car pavilion come around pretty often so you don't have to wait around for too long. Overall it's a decent airport, it's no Laguardia but if you plan well i think you can avoid the negatives.

I had 2 different layovers within a weeks' time at Dallas Fort Worth airport. In one case I flew…read morein on a larger Airbus aircraft, then had to change terminals as I flew back out on a small CRJ regional/commuter plane. A few days later I did the reverse. Do know that, if you have a layover here in Dallas that requires you to change gates it can take a while. While signage is clear and easy to follow, and I was walking at a fairly brisk pace, I had about 1 1/2 hours layover and arrived to my departing gate just as the plane was ready to board. This is due to the time it takes to get to the tram, ride the tram through a few stops and to the appropriate set of gates (which are quite spread apart) and then navigate to the gate areas - so even with that long of a layover, I wasn't able to browse the shops and didn't have time to dally. That said, there were plenty of food options in this airport, including a TGI Fridays in one terminal where they guarantee diners will be in and out in 30 minutes.
