Water was filled with hair, bugs and debris, and I was only the third person of the day in the wave pool. Toilets were nasty. Awfull.

We were so excited to visit this new location. It's perfect location for a GWL. Family/kids friendly here and Adult friendly across the parking lot once quiet hours start. Our family of 6 arrived with a group of our friends for a 3 day stay. Right away, my 6yr made a friend on staff named Abknell, who as he recalls, "makes the best donuts and popcorn", always greeted the kids with their names, hi-5s and smiles! Thank you Abknell for creating an unforgettable experience for my kids that have made them want to return, even if only to say "hello" and hang out to buy some popcorn from you!! My 6yr old also made a friend at the wand shop named CJ, who was very entertaining and energetic with his wand play and stories. CJ was a great sport, even when kids piled on him. Thank you CJ for your dedication to the wizard game, giving the littles ones a super fun experience and again we apologize if the kids were a bit carried away at times in their method acting. You handled them so well!! As for the water park, it seemed clean, felt safe and the kids had fun! The kids loved the water slides, lazy river and wave pool. The layout of of the pool area allowed me to sit and view the general areas my kids would roam and the very visible lifeguard staff helped us parents to feel safe enough. The hotel rooms were comfortable and clean. Quiet hours were very well enforced and I am sorry if at anytime our night-owl crew was ever a bit noisy. We very much are looking forward to our next visit here. Home is close to another GWL location however, we would gladly drive the extra hour to spend a couple days at the GWL-Foxwoods location.

The waterpark is awesome, my daughter couldn't get enough of the lazy river and water slides and wave pool. The staff was really nice and helpful. Room was clean- daughter loved the bunk beds. And great dinner options next door at the casino. Really memorable trip for the fam.

Took an adventure here with my 13 year old daughter and two of her friends. It's become an annual…read moretrip and I'd say well worth a trip once a summer. I purchased tickets ahead of time for a decent $5 discount per ticket. Even if you are not there for the slide rides, tickets are required for entry. Things I love: Advance purchase tickets online - tickets do sell out so buying tix ahead of time guarantees entry. But - no refunds unless the park is closed due to weather so check the forecast. You can bring your own food and drinks - enough said! I actually made it out of there not buying a single thing from the snack bar yesterday. Yay, me! There is a snack bar. If you're not worried about cost, there's a good selection of food and drinks offered, including salad. But be prepared to pay $$. Four chicken fingers runs about $17. You can bring your own chairs. Just found this out yesterday. Load up the beach wagon if you want guaranteed seating and you don't want to rent a cabana. There's cabana rentals that give you guaranteed seating and shade. I wasn't going to spring $150 for a basic cabana but it's an option. Upgrades are available at higher price points. There's lots and lots of slide options for the teen crowd and a decent size kiddie area. Life jackets are provided. Locker rentals Clean. Except for the restrooms, there's no garbage or litter around. Plenty of trash cans. Lots of lifeguards. Safety first. Things that could be better: The restrooms. The main one leaves a lot to be desired. But typical of what you would expect at a waterpark. New ones are worth the walk over by Hurricane Hill. Trust me. The parking. I'm not a "wait at the gate for the park to open" type of person. It's a mess if you have to grab a spot when it's full. Ask about the overflow lot next door. Shorter walk than the far end of the main lot. Lines. They are long , even on weekdays and there's no shade while you wait. Brutal on hot days. Unchaperoned kids. Not a huge issue because everyone is pretty well behaved and the staff runs a tight ship with any horseplay. But this is a big camp field trip destination. Lastly, is the water clean? It's not dirty but what you would expect for hundreds of people being in and out. I'd recommend sitting over by the wave pool if you don't get a cabana. Don't be afraid to pick up an empty single chaise to claim a spot outside the rows. Overall, a great family friendly spot.

It also took me about three hours to get there, so expectations were definitely higher going in. The first thing that stood out was how unorganized the entry process was. The line to get into the park was insanely long and honestly one of the most chaotic lines I've ever seen. That said, we still managed to get in at a reasonable time. Once inside, it was a mixed experience. The lazy river was extremely crowded, especially at the entrance, which made it hard to relax. On the plus side, the wave pool was actually really nice. The waves felt more realistic than most water parks, which I appreciated. Food prices were about what you'd expect, maybe a little on the higher side, but nothing outrageous for a water park. As for the slides, they felt a bit rough and slightly sketchy at times. I get that part of it is the thrill, but some rides, especially Devil's Peak, were pretty uncomfortable. I ended up with a few rub burns and scratches, which wasn't ideal. Overall, I did have fun because at the end of the day it is still a water park. But the park could really benefit from better organization and layout. It felt a bit all over the place, and with some improvements it could be a much better experience

And here we are, at Splish Splash, a place I took a road trip too when I lived in Queens. Then it seemed like it was across many states. It's funny how you perceive things as a kid versus as a grown up. Now this place is no more than 30min from my parents, but I still haven't been here since becoming an adult and I'm glad we did. The place has changed so much. Better layout. More family friendly. We rented one of the luxury cabanas for the entire day. It cost $1200 and allows 32 people, but holds 40. You have to buy additional wristbands at $20 a wristband. You also still need to buy tickets. The sales office was wonderful to work with and answered all my questions and we got the group rate for our day at the park. As much fun as we had, and as great as the space was, which we plan on doing again, there needs to be more support in the Cabana areas. At one point security asked one of my guest if they should be there, and when they showed them their wristband they continued to follow up with the cabana staff, meanwhile, people kept coming into our cabana trying to use the area for themselves. Where was security then? The food and drink service also lacked. We were instructed to order off the QR code which were on signs throughout the cabana, but half of them didn't work. We had to wait over an hour and a half for our food and some people didn't get their drinks. Once I expressed how long we waited, and how we felt overlooked the staff gave us a few additional canned margaritas. By this time it was late afternoon. Most of had to leave because the kids were exhausted. Moral of the story: this place has had a major glow up, I'm hoping that the staff and service follow suit as they continue to grow. This is a piece of nostalgia on Long Island and I would hate to see it go away anytime soon.
