The Water Wizz is just down the road from where we always stay in RI, so no trip would be complete without at least one outing to The Wizz. The Wizz (as the locals call it), is a collection of water slides of varying lengths and heights and you use a rubber mat to slide down, where upon you land in a pool. It's good, clean fun (as long as no one pees in the pool). The cost is $11 for about 40 minutes of slide time. It may not seem like a lot of time, but you'd be surprised how many runs you can make in 40 minutes, and climbing up the stairs and catapulting into the water take a lot out of you. Trust me when I say that 40 minutes is plenty long. They also have an early-bird special that's $11 for an hour and 40 minutes, so that's like getting an hour free. The lines move pretty fast, depending on which slide you choose, and of course the highest and fastest slide has the longest line. They also have "kiddie" slides for the young'uns, so this place is good for kids (and adults) of all ages. The staff is so helpful to the kids and while it may seem like they have an easy job, they don't. They have to constantly watch for infractions, and make sure the pool is clear before any descent, to minimize bodily harm. Safety is of the utmost concern at all times. Oh, and while I was there they had to clean up some kid's (at least I hope it was a kid and not an adult) number two in the boys' shower. True story. It's also conveniently located right across from an arcade and an old timey ice cream stand. Next door are batting cages, so there's a lot to do in this part of town, not to mention, it's right across from the ocean and beach. Fun times. When I went to Water Wizz, I was about 6 years old. There were lifeguards and I went on a water slide with an adult with me and I didn't know how to swim. When we got to the bottom pool, went underwater and I couldn't get up and assuming that I didn't know how to swim, I thought the life guards would come help me. But no, they just watched me. This place is the BEST for your money if you have kids. The lines are almost always small and there's rides for little ones too. 40 minutes doesn't seem like enough time but it is perfect in a water park that's this size- you can easily go down the slides 10-15 times and you've spent less than $15 a person! Lots of good places to eat within walking distance and a beautiful beach, as well as a carousel right across the street. Skip the long lines, high costs and big crowds of the bigger water parks and go here, you'll have a blast. read more

Water Wizz has been a family tradition for many years. Every summer we would set aside a summer day at ride the slides at Water Wizz. This year was very different. The manager, Mike Kells, was condescending, arrogant, and disrespectful to me and my children when I attempted to purchase tickets. I wish I filmed his "fit" when I attempted to use a valid Groupon. He tossed it at me and when I showed him clearly that the Groupon was valid he told me to "go to school, get educated & become an adult." I paid $30 for the Groupon which he wouldn't let me use and told me to leave his "private property." Crazy considering I was ready to buy an additional $60 worth of tickets. When I got home I googled the "manager" only to find out he is the owner! I felt like I was talking to a spoiled brat & not a legitimate business owner. I will never be back to Water Wizz. I am annoyed he took $30 from me...but writing this YELP made me feel a bit better. Happy Summer! read more

What a great place! I loved it in comparison to other water parks. It's smallish ( only 6 slides) but perfect for wandering children. There's one set of stairs that leads to all slides. There's barely a wait for slides. I bought my kids a full day pass and myself the early bird deal for 10-11:40. The all day pass was $25 I think but the early bird only $13. After I was done I sat on the bleachers and watched my boys slide for another hour or so. Staff was really friendly and helpful. One girl was super sweet and helped my little guy onto the slide every time. The beach is right across the street. Parking is free but there's only a few spots so we paid $12 at the lot next to. read more

Drove an hour and a half to Westerly to take the kids to Water Wizz and it started DOWN-POURING. The park stayed open just for us and the kids had a blast. Everyone here was super friendly and we had an awesome time. 10/10 recommend! read more

This place knocked my freakin socks off! Worth every penny of the $13. It's small, but don't let that sway you. Go in the late afternoon, there are only a few screaming children as opposed to hordes of them. My cohorts and I have developed a "prime order" of sorts to maximize fun and enjoyment of the 6 CUH-RAZY slides. First, warm yourself up to the water and the nature of the slides themselves with the weakest and most pee-filled, the Little Dipper. Next, head straight for those tall boys you can see from the road and show yourself what Water Wizz is all about! The left one truly makes you fear for your life, in the most exciting and thrilling way possible. Then, move on to the "adult slides" as they're referred to by locals. Go from right to left and thrill yourself. Repeat until your fun-o-meter is maxed out! Before you head over, remember, it's called Water "Wizz" for a reason. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! Don't waste your time coming to this place. I was under the impression it was an actual water park and it wasn't. Don't let the picture deceive you, the paint on the slide are disgusting. What is suppose to be white is yellowish/gray and what should be blue is non existent! I've taken my kids to a fair number of water parks over the years. This one is not one of the best. First, it's insanely expensive. $40 for 3 people and 40 minutes is very, very, very expensive compared to any other water park we've been to... including water parks in California. The water slides were okay, but not great. We got to the park just before the crowd hit (a summer camp arrived with 50+ kids). Before the campers, the lines were okay... a 5 minute wait to slide. After the campers got there, it was a 15 minute wait... and for a 40 minute ticket, a 15 minute wait is a killer. The safety at the park was "lax" at best. Yeah, it's like a 1970s kinda place... which is okay until someone gets hurt. Oh... and parking is extra, so with 3 people, there's no way to get out for less than $50 for an hour of time. read more

Bought a Groupon that expired on August 31. Drove down from Boston on the 31st and it was CLOSED. Very unhappy children after the long ride down. I had checked the hours open on their calendar and it said 10-5pm on the 31st. 6 other cars arrived when I sitting there trying to figure out where to go next so clearly there were quite a few folks thinking it would be open. read more

Great place to cool off and have some fun. This water park is right across the street from the beach. They have some great price deals for everyone. You can slide from 10am to 11:40am for $15. That's all you really need. Not a place you can spend an entire day at with the kids. Just 6 water slides in total one being a kiddie slide. The lines weren't long so you could have gone as many times down one slide as you wanted. I suggest going down the 2 fast slides first. Those 2 lines get crowded fast. read more

We hit up the smaller version of Water Wizz this weekend when we were hanging in MIsquamicut, the larger park is located on the Cape. There are a total of 6 slides, 2 fast ones, 3 windy slides, and 1 smaller one for the little kids. For $13 you get to go for 40 minutes. If you have a small child that can't ride on their own yopu can get a ticket for you both for $18 but there is only 1 slide you can ride and you have to ride together. If you don't know if your little one (mine is 4 1/2 and a daredevil) will ride the slides, I would suggest starting with that pass, They let you upgrade if your child decides they want to ride alone. read more

I won 2 40 minute tickets here at my son's school's fundraising gala and we came today on a beautiful beach day. I (38 yr old) did all the rides once and a few twice. Going airborne on one of the rides scared me a bit and getting so much water in my face and up my nose on another caused me to panic on another so I've stopped before the 40 minutes. For these reasons I am giving them 4 stars. It's a cute little place though and looks like it may have been here for a while a some of the material on some slides look older yet well kept. I couldn't see spending $30 for a full day here though. For that moneyI would rather spend the day at a bigger place with a lazy river and some rides that are slower. read more

The slides are fun and the views at great. However the staff working at Water Wizz are not the friendliest people. I overheard the lady in front of me getting criticised from the staff for taking too much time deciding what duration of time she wanted to stay. The cost for entering the water park were about $20 an hour for each person, which is too much for me. There is also limited parking, and the lines are huge. If you don't mind the cost, limited parking, and huge lines,than eater Wizz will be good for you. read more

Water was filled with hair, bugs and debris, and I was only the third person of the day in the wave pool. Toilets were nasty. Awfull.

I'm so surprised at the rating of this place. This is a place you go to if just want to take the kids to have fun for an hour or two. This is not a park! I went because I haven't been and I wanted to spend a day with my son at a water park. I SO regret not going to water country. There isn't even a pool! Really? There are only 4 slides. How many times can you do the same thing before it gets old? I lasted an hour and was SO HAPPY that there is a beach across the street because my time didn't seem for nothing. Never again. 3 stars because of you're just in the area and want to have a good time with the kids--something low key, short, and cheap--this is it.
