This was our first time at Great Wolf Lodge and although there were some hiccups along the way, we had a wonderful and memorable time here! When we arrived, the lady directing traffic was sweet and informed us that if we wanted free parking, we could simply park at the garage which is a simple 5 minute walk. I actually didn't mind it and it helped us save 25 dollars per day which was great! The check-in process was the first hiccup. Since we paid with apple pay, the credit card number didn't match the actual card that we used, but the staff quickly resolved the issue. Then we had a wonderful time settling down in the room and enjoying ourselves with everything they had at their facility. They are very meticulous which I guess is great from a business perspective but a bit restrictive from a customer's perspective; for instance, they calculate how many ounces of soda you get from the cup barcode, as well as calculate how many towels you take by scanning your wristband. Understandable but restrictive nonetheless. The second hiccup was when we tried to shower and the temperature of the water kept fluctuating. As a result, I ended up getting burned from the water, which I was glad it was me instead of my toddler or newborn. We noted this issue but the engineer didn't resolve it until the next day when the issue persisted, which took away in total about 4 hours of our time to get relocated during our second night. This resulted in my kids and wife being left cold and wet from the water park without being able to shower in our room until a new room was provided for us. Abraham took care of us in that regard and even went out of his way to help us move all our stuff to the new room, which was at the end of the hallway on a different floor. Asides from the long walk, the new room functioned perfectly unlike the previous one. We really appreciated all the staff who empathized with us and tried to help us have a better experience to make up for the hours we lost trying to resolve this issue. Overall, my wife and toddler had a wonderful time with all the fun activities provided at the lodge! This location can't be beat, just walking distance to Foxwoods, where my family without kids were staying. My toddler loved all the kids amenities. Just set your expectations before you go. The check-in line was super long, and the room walls are super thin. Noise was a big issue way past quiet hours since you can hear everything and it sounded like kids were left unattended at all hours of the night. We recently vacationed a year apart from our last trip here . My ratings changed as things have changed . Checking in was smooth for most part Especially with Danielle who helped us . My problem same as last year but last year they did work it out . If I need an ADA parking spot and you know a head of time I'm in wheelchair then I should be able to park in one . I paid $100 for parking that was only close and ADA one time . Out of 5days of being there . Activities for kids were good as always . Story times and dance parties are the best with the kids . All events are free . They are very entertaining. The food I did reviews separately. The breakfast buffet had less options and instead of going every morning we only went once . Service was good but for the price it was not worth it . Rooms were clean and decent . We had the family suite with two beds and pull out bed. Downside is they only have fridges in room no microwaves but was across from room with ice and microwave. I requested the lobby level due to being in wheelchair and had negative experience s when on higher levels . Have now visited at over 5 locations and each one has their own perks . There was fire alarm and evacuation once while there but we happened to be out to dinner at the time off premises.Its by far the best one accessibility wise . I was actually able to go into Lazy River for the first time . They have transfer seats right by entrance of it . Outside pool and hot tub was closed 2 of the 4days which is one of the reasons we changed our vacation to this location from April to July so that was disappointing. I'm writing this review as someone who doesn't have children, but went with my sister and nieces. The vibe of the place reminds me of being in a casino, without the casino games. Let's face it, the place is geared towards kids and they absolutely loved it. Water Park: While an indoor waterpark isn't my go to, I was able to enjoy it. There were lots of chairs around to set up camp if so desired. There are lots of lifeguards around which seem actively present as they are walking along the sides and watching what is going on in the pools. There is a baby section which has some sprinklers and small slides. The one thing I didn't like is that in that section they wanted a one year old to go down the slide without a parent which was dangerous for a kid who cant walk on their own. The wave pool was fun, as were the slides and lazy river. Although I wish they'd be more strict with kids swimming in the lazy river as opposed to using tubes. There is an outdoor pool with loungers, chairs and umbrellas which is a nice way to get some fresh air. There is also a food counter for lunch which serves, burgers, chicken fingers, salads and pizza which you could order via the GWL app and charge to your room or card. Inside is nicely decorated with more activities for the kids. You can purchase a pass which has 3 different price points and includes different things. The Wolf Pass gets you a wand for the MagiQuest which is located all throughout the main floor. Also includes a free ice cream, bowling, mini golf, ropes course, 3 arcade games and a few other things. Food There is a Dunkin which again can be ordered via the app and prices seemed standard for Dunkin. We had the buffet for dinner which wasn't bad. For $32.99/adults and $14.99/kids over 4 was a decent deal. The buffet had a wide variety of food and desserts, along with coffee and sodas. The foreside restaurant was surprisingly good and the decor is lovely. Wood's End Creamery serves some really good ice cream. The rooms were a nice size. We had a Queen bed with a pullout sofa and a pair of bunk beds which had its own alcove. Water pressure in the shower was good as was the hot water. The bed was a little soft for my liking, but not bad. While housekeeping provided new towels during the day, I thought it odd they didn't remake the beds. There are activities thoughout the day in the main lobby with most being around 15 minutes, they are perfect for kids. Some included were morning yoga, crafts, story time and a nighttime dance party which I thought was the cutest thing. Note that GWL is literally right next to Foxwoods so you can easily head there as well if you'd like. All in all I was apprehensive about going, but had a good time with the family. read more

We have stayed at a couple different locations of Great Wolf Lodge. This one wasn't the best, the whole set up/design of this location is out of whack and makes for crowds of people where there should be an easy walkway. The gift shop is very small and I found it odd for a male to be working at a kids attraction with heavy makeup on and long nails... We lost power about 6x in the course of our 2 day stay and someone down the hallway from us got stuck in the elevator for a couple hours. This is our first time at a Great Wolf Lodge. The location is great, a short walk to Foxwoods casino. Had many fun activities for the kids to do. But the one thing that gave me a bad taste is the housekeeping. We didn't want to get our room cleaned since my toddler was napping so I asked housekeeping who was across from our room if I can get a couple of bath towels and a hand towel. The lady gave me an attitude and handed me the bath towels. I said thank you, can I have one hand towel? She rolled her eyes and said no. I said excuse me? Can I just have one hand towel? And she said NO! And walked away. I am beyond disappointed in this type of service and have never in my life met a housekeeper so rude. The rooms were clean but I found a candy wrapper on the floor. Also when we checked in that day, the shower gel was completely empty. Does housekeeping not check the bottles daily?? These are just simple things to check off their list. Housekeeping needs to do better. The walls in the room were paper thin. Ppl next door were blasting music early in the morning. You can hear ppl talking. At night, you can hear snoring next door. Let's start off by saying that I've been to a few great Wolf Lodges but none as new as this. The hotel: it was okay. I feel like for a Wolf Den, it lacked all the other stuff other gwls have like the tv and it just didn't feel like an immersive experience like it has in the past. The elevators take a really long time especially in the morning. I was also surprised that for such a new building that they didn't make the lobby bigger, knowing that they do a lot of activities in there The food/bar: it was a packed week, and I will say that it took a really long time for food. My kids chicken tenders took over an hour and ten minutes, but they were good. The a firefly drink that I had, which was delicious, took forty minutes to get from the bar in the water park. The other drinks I got from the bar in the lobby and that didn't take nearly as long and the bartender was very friendly. The activities including water park: i will say I like how everything is in one room. But it does make everything feel a lot smaller. I almost wish they didn't have the restaurant in there and just had the fast food. The arcade is pretty small, magi quesr was fun and it was all over the place, but because there's not a lot of places to sit people are sitting in front of it. The bowling was okay. The ice cream game just about the smallest ice cream i've ever seen and I don't know if that's because we had the wolves pass. The rope courses and the adventure thing was okay. The waterpark was packed, you could not go in the hot tub because there was too many people, the lazy river is very small, there was not a lot of tubes, so it took a really long time to get on the ride, the floors were absolutely disgusting. Went for Father's Day on a Sunday. Let's just say that it was overly crowded inside and outside. I want to be able to enjoy the hot tub without 40 people in there. It says limit 24 and no one is paying attention. We did the breakfast buffet for $27 a person and with tip it was like $40 a person that it's included with a larger party. It def was not worth it! They make scrabble eggs and then pre order omelette. There's no section for hard boiled eggs or fried egg option. It def wasn't worth the price you pay to eat at a buffet. The activities they had for the kids are great. I just wish they were able to really focus on the experience instead of selling out room and number of people going. Overcrowded even on a Monday. We bought season passes because we live in the area and thought it would be fun after work to pop in for a few rides on the week days and a quick swim. No such thing. Your season passes equates to a day pass and you have to wait in the same line as the hotel check ins. We got there at 4 and it was complete chaos. Ride lines were long, and the only really intense/adult ride is the Pequot one which went down for maintenance while we were in line for it. Kids started fighting with one another and the lifeguard had just about had it. Maybe we were spoiled by going to Kalahari in the Poconos recently and expected a similar experience, but it's doubtful I will renew our season passes this fall. Let's just start off for anyone that wants to skip over what is said in detail in the categories I feel are most important. Room: 5/5 Waterpark: 3/5 Other activities: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Staff: 5/5 Value 2/5 Most families are going here for the waterpark, right? I didn't even know there was mini golf or gem hunting inside as this was our first ever visit to a GWL. For a brand new GWL and having to compete with the likes of places like Kalahari also springing up, I thought it was pretty lackluster. No racing slides, no drop slide. And even the "coaster" slide was over way too fast. Why didn't many of these stretch across the entire roof area? A lot of that portion in the middle seems wasted, even if the excuse is that the wave pool gets in the way. The lazy river might be one of the shortest I've ever experienced. The entire place was clean (although had a sewage smell in the back at times) and we enjoyed our time, I just expected ssssoooo much more and was disappointed by its size. But everything else, WOW. The food was excellent, did they steal the Pizza Hut recipe? I believe they have a partnership with Buffalo Wild Wings although I did not try those and the FatBurger partnership was star of the show. I was going to give it 4/5 stars for lack of healthy options but when I returned a burger that was supposed to be a double to the counter, the guy working was so nice about it and even said something that cracked me up, "you can throw that back at me if this one isn't a double". Just about every interaction with GWL staff was a five star experience and they go out of their way to make sure you are having a good time, it's Disney-esque. We loved the breakfast buffet also but after tip, doing this every morning is a $100 experience for a family of four. One of the many reasons the value gets knocked down a ton. The options were plentiful and it definitely made me LOL when I saw chicken nuggets and mac n cheese at 8 AM. They know their clientele. The other activities caught me off guard, even though every single thing is an upcharge. The pricing on the video games rubbed me the wrong way the most. You can always math them out and you are getting little value playing like 8 games for twenty bucks. The minigolf and bowling are both really great values for a quick experience. And the smallest gem mining bag costing under $15 was also a great experience. But everything else is fairly overpriced. Before you get to the waterpark and have breakfast, you may have already dropped an additional $250 on the day. This place knows how to open a wallet up but then it leaves the parents dissatisfied once its all over. The activities in the lodge are all free and I posted an idea of what takes place throughout a day. Don't miss the Luna story at bedtime, that was one of the best things I've ever seen outside of Florida theming. Our Wolf Den was the perfect size, even if the full beds scream "we wanted to save a few bucks". The kids always love little theming areas like this, they told me they just wished the lights could dim in there. It would be cool to have a nighttime effect with the way the walls are painted. No microwave in room but there is one down the hall for everyone to use. This isn't a "lets go every month kind of place". It may end up being a once or maybe even every other year kind of experience for us. Those very well off won't feel the pinch as much as we did, and I'll definitely never go during a school vacation week or holiday. Our stay at Great Wolf Lodge was extremely disappointing, especially considering the price. The resort advertises "Hibernation Time" from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, but that policy appears to be completely ignored. There was significant noise late into the night, making it difficult to get any rest. The walls are paper-thin, and we could clearly hear conversations, children running through the hallways, and noise from neighboring rooms. To make matters worse, the front desk was virtually unreachable. We attempted to call for assistance and received no answer. When guests are paying premium resort prices, basic customer service and responsiveness should be expected. For a family resort that promotes comfort and relaxation, the lack of quiet hours enforcement, poor sound insulation, and unresponsive staff made for a frustrating experience. Unfortunately, the reality did not match the marketing, and we left feeling that the resort is more focused on packing in guests than providing a quality experience. I would not return and would encourage families to carefully consider whether the cost is justified. read more

Breakfast buffet: It is $23 per adult and $13 per child. For 3 kids and 1 adult we paid $84 with tip. The waitress never told us the price and there are no menus available. Much of the food at the buffet was empty or almost empty and no one was rushing to fill them back up. She also never told us how to order an omelette and once we finally figured out how, it is a 15 minute wait per omelette (two omelettes took 30 minutes). The food (and service) was absolutely not worth the price. You are better off eating at Dunkin. Water park: The first day at the water park was just ok. It is very packed here and it's a Tuesday/Wednesday... I can't imagine if it were the weekend. The lazy river is a disappointment. It is very small and there are not many tubes available... maybe 20 tubes total are available. There are often so many people in it you're walking a lazy river and praying you don't get bumped into the rough walls since you don't have a tube. The outdoor hot springs is a hot tub. Not big enough for many people at all (although the sign says 25 people fit... that would be shoulder to shoulder). The wave pool is really the biggest attraction here, besides the water slides. Today is our second day here and the wave pool has been closed all day (it is currently 3:30pm). There is no update as to why it's closed or when it will be opened. So there are many kids just watching and waiting the whole time. There was a period earlier today where all the water slides were closed except for one, the lazy river was closed, and of course the wave pool never opened. So the kids sat around for a while waiting for something to open back up. The water slides rides are set up weird where the tubes are not next to it. Its a further distance to the stairs from where the tubes are stored. The kids will be waiting in line for a ride and suddenly they will close a ride while there is still a line with no information about why it's being closed or when it will reopen. This happened yesterday and today several times. It seems to be a shortage of staff to operate the rides... but that's a guess. Many staff members are very kind and helpful. But there are also a handful of staff that is very aggressive and unprofessional towards the children in the water park. My children who are 8, 10, and 16 rate the water park 2-3 stars and they all would prefer Kartrite even though there is no wave pool at Kartrite. Rooms: For being open so recently there is already a lot damaged items. Our toilet seat had only one clasp working so using the toilet meant the lid smacked you in the back and the seat moved around a lot. The toilet paper holder must have fallen off at some point before... there is exposed wall that has no paint where it must have been attached before. The tub does not hold water if you are trying to take a bath, the mechanism to hold the water in the tub was missing a rubber ring or something. Wow, just so pleased with how clean every area that we visited was as clean as it was. This location opened recently so it has that new vibe feel. Our room was equally as orderly and clean. A small fridge included, wish there had been a microwave in room instead of having to find a common area. The pizza... really good! Felipe very much recommend it, all I ordered was a cheese pie but damn it was delish. I didn't have much interaction with staff because sadly everything is touchscreen and technology. I will add, check in needs a bit of work. A bit of a long line when checking in with children & luggage. I didn't want to be rude to the attendant but I wasn't interested in the long options of upgrading. Maybe a sheet in the room to let you peruse at your pace. I also don't like how the self check in kiosk is only for those that pay for parking out front. With the amount of money that is spent all over the premises, not including the lodging fee, I should be able to park out front for no charge. Not sure why your venue then charges a parking fee. Another location never did, and now do also. For your own property. You're not sharing with anyone. That should be looked into changing. So because we parked in the Rainmaker lot, we couldn't use the kiosks that sat empty the whole time I was in line and checking in. I would have given a 5 star but the length of check in time and bit of chaos with everyone knocked it down and the issue with parking, $25 to park at your facility is not cool with me. read more

Pros: - you can park at Foxwoods on the rainmaker side for free and just walk over -The rooms were clean and spacious. - The water parks were actually really fun and adults can have fun too! - the farmhouse pizza was delicious! - friendly staff - packed with things to do - check out process was a breeze Cons: - the check in process could definitely be better. I understand the volume of people will always make a line. But it seemed like they only allow people who used the Great wolf Lodge parking space to be the ones who can use the kiosk to easily check in. And those who parked elsewhere had to stay in the long check in lines. - they use carpets in the lodging hall which I think is a bad idea. It smells like damp feet. Just spent a few days here. Woof. First off. Everything is sticky. I know it's because of the kids. But seriously all the floors were sticky. One of the elevators was so sticky I sent a snapchat to some friends with my shoes being stuck to the floor. Thursday night I saw staff scrubbing and they solved the sticky issue. But by god..... it was like a comedy. $6.99 for a paper sleeve of popcorn btw and they have the audacity to ask for a tip lmao. The adventure area smells like human feces. I don't know if there is a sewage leak, or the clientele don't check if the wolf pups have clean pants....but woof the smell was wild. I have not been able to smell good since covid got me in 2020. But this stink was powerful. My son kept asking if someone had an accident. $25 a day to park. I did 1 day and parked at foxwoods for free. At breakfast the buffet staff told us "It's the same stuff on each side" we went up and were surprised by the lack of actual breakfast stuff. My 3 year old was pumped for nuggets. But yeah the staff working had no idea that the left side had eggs and breakfast stuff, i found that out on round 2. Personally allowing kids to self serve buffet stuff is disgusting. Yeah I know I'm at a kid resort. But the 5 staff behind the counters should have been serving kids. I saw they each had serving spoons. Use them lads! I don't want to sound elderly. But even with ear plugs in It was sooooooo loud in the lobby. The dunkin donuts is garbage. Got a bagel today because I didn't want to go Into generational debt so my son could eat half a pancake and a strawberry at the buffet. The girl put his chocolate sprinkle donut in the bag upside down and gave me a cold bagel. I complained and she told me to "live with it" Kid casinos cool, but jeeze, having to pay $3 for a card is a rip off. Oh and the adventure jungle gym that costs $10.99 for "30 minutes of adventure" my son made it through in under 5 minutes and the girl ushered him out. It's advertised as 30 minutes. 5 minutes is not 30 minutes. So that's neat. Went to complain and was told "we closed it early tonight" oh cool, I want my money back. But that didn't happen obviously. Fireside is great, food was fantastic. The staff were super friendly. That's nice. Most people hate working. I have not been in a water park since Bush jr was in office, but this was pretty cool. Super friendly staff. Suite we has was decent, bed was comfy, it was clean. This place will try to squeeze every single cent you have out of you. Also never give kids the ability to charge stuff to the room. They give you an option to allow your kids the ability to charge stuff to the room with a wristband. You'd have to be downright insane to trust a kid with that ability. read more

Very cool place, definitely a money maker. They sell food, bubbles and lights. The indoor water park has activities for children of all ages. It was super crowded on the Saturday that we went. It seemed like they were understaffed because one girl was manning 2 of the big slides. Our kids had a great time. It's nice they have showers in their bathrooms. GWL is a recreational venue, mostly a water park with lodging. GWL offers special prices that combine tickets and lodging. It offers lockers, various sizes for your individual needs. Also, they offer storage for your bags while you may enjoy the water park, stores, and eateries all day after checking out from the hotel. Mostly everything at the venue is paperless, but easy to manage. We needed Customer Support to upgrade to a handicap accessible room and they made it happened. I have mixed reviews on my experience at Great Wolf Lodge. The good: It's brand new so it felt very clean to me. The rooms especially! My son loved his little wolf den bunk beds in the room. The water park was crowded but he had an amazing time. Every employee we encountered was friendly and seemed genuinely willing to help. The bad: I waited in line at check-in for 40 minutes after I had already checked in. The self-check-in kiosks are great to skip the line, but you can't get your wolf pass or any add on pass you may have purchased there. Not sure if the front desk was understaffed or all just still learning, but it was pretty wild and painfully slow. We paid for late check out, but after trekking to our room, our wristbands stopped working after the standard check-out time. The buffet for breakfast was also messy. If you get there after 8:30 prepare for a wild line. We were there before then so got seated quickly, but I ordered an omelet. The omelet came out after my husband and son were already done eating. If they are offering that, they definitely need to better staff that option. And lastly the whole place is a money grab. When you get the pass you think you are good, but then there are all sorts of upgrades. Like no child I was with went with the included Magicquest wand, the gem mining isn't included, and all they had was 10 pound bags in stock for like $35. Don't even get me started on how much we spent at the arcade, they could definitely make those games cheaper. We stayed one night and had to pay $50 in parking. Will I go back, most likely yes, since my son loved it and it is pretty close to us. You just have to go in prepared to wait and spend a lot of money. read more

This was our first time at a great wolf lodge and to top it off, this is their newest location! I did like that everything was there, the hotel, the water park, the mini golf, bowling for kids, rope course, the magiquest, and dining options. We stayed at a family suite which was a pretty sizeable room with 2 queen size beds. The rooms were big, the beds were comfortable, and the cleaning staff was always very attentive. 5 stars for the room. There's many activities throughout the day, so make sure you check the lobby area, or download the great wolf lodge app for up to date activities. The waterpark itself was overall fun, but the temperature was not 84 degrees, which is what they advertised, that its 84 degrees year round. My hotel room was set to 74, and it felt only slightly warmer than that. When you enter the water, it gets pretty cold fast. My 2 kids after 30 minutes their lips were blue. This part was disappointing because you come here for a waterpark, but because it's so cold, you cant stay in the waterpark area for more than 1.5 to 2 hrs. There's a restaurant there that creates this wind tunnel and that could be the reason why the waterpark is so cold. There were also other families that stated it was too cold in the water, and their kids' lips were also blue. The kids had fun overall, and we look forward to coming back. I had a BLAST here for my daughter's birthday! We've gone to the Fitchburg location the last two birthdays and decided to give this one a try. At both locations we did the bunk suites. While identical, Foxwoods did not have the separate TV for the kid's room. What I liked about the Foxwoods location as opposed to Fitchburg is that it was a single waterpark instead of two separate rooms. We all know once you get settled in one area- kids AUTOMATICALLY decide they need to be on the other side instead. While I do feel like the Fitchburg location is larger- the Foxwoods location seems to have built UP instead of out, resulting in epic waterslides, fewer steps for MagiQuest, and a sweet aerial course compared with the other location. We did get the Wolf Pass this time, which was absolutely worth every penny. It included almost all of the attractions so you can have fun without having to shell out as much. Because the attractions can get pricey individually. Additionally, you'll get extra perks like discounts at Build-a-Bear (which we did), the Gem Mining Company and a few other things. We ate mainly the fast stuff at Hungry Like a Wolf (because the wings were BOMB). We also ventured out to the casino and Mystic Pizza (a local staple and legendary location of the movie. FANTASTIC food). Overall? We will be returning next year to this location. Just be aware- they nickel and dime for everything. Parking? $25 PER DAY. Really? The wait for food was ridiculous and not conducive for a "children centric place". The food was subpar but after waiting an hour my order was still wrong and took another 15 minutes to resolve. It took several phone calls, hours and me having to physically go and find someone from housekeeping to get linens and washcloths. The place was freezing cold. When we got out of the water we sat in the indoor eating area and waited for our food. (Again it took an hour) and we froze. Upon checkout the charge to room did not work resulting in many people losing their credits. The manager was not accommodating and rude, her philosophy was "use it or lose it" despite being unable to use something that did not work. My concerns were not addressed and I was basically blown off. In all it was indeed NOT my child's "best birthday ever". Spend less, go somewhere else and be treated better. read more

We were there over the summer, got the room with log cabin theme for kids. Very clean, staff helpful. Check in was a long process, can definitely improve on organization. Very friendly and helpful staff. Staff on rides are particularly helpful and professional with safety first. Tip - definitely park at Foxwood and walk over. It's literally across the street. No need to pay for expensive parking. Drive over to Mohegan Sun for dinner. I would go to this location again. read more

I'm posting this because after countless emails and phone calls, with zero callbacks or responses from Great Wolf Lodge or their manager- Abu, I am honestly stunned by the lack of professionalism and basic human decency. My family and I stayed at Great Wolf Lodge over April break. In the middle of the night, I woke up because my hand was itchy and burning. At first, I thought maybe I had been bitten by mosquitoes several times overnight which would be strange for this time of year. We checked out the next morning, but throughout the day my hand, arm, neck, and back continued to swell where these bites appeared, so I went to urgent care. I was told I had been bitten overnight by a spider approximately 12 times while staying on the eighth floor of their new location. I had an allergic reaction and was prescribed 10 days of steroids and antibiotics. Extremely painful, itchy, uncomfortable! Despite providing the company and management with photographs, urgent care documentation, and prescription information, they have yet to respond to any of my calls, messages, or emails. Guest services are very rude! The manager is unqualified and a complete narcissist. We had bed bugs in our room and they didn't do anything about it. Just shrugs, and pointing fingers. Stay far away, and go to Fitchburg. I learned that since this is tribal land they don't have to adhere to any policies a normal great wolf lodge would. We loved our stay here! Tons of free included activities with your stay. The lobby story is SO worth staying up for! We also did the magic journey and beware it's like $50 a wand and then $17 to activate the game and it'll take 3 hours to complete (no I'm not being dramatic the guy told me it's walking 5miles). Get up early to go to the water park and then do the magic journey when you need a break from the water esp when it starts getting crowded. The rooms were clean and cozy the walls were thin. How is this a "family friendly" resort and you don't have private places to pump breastmilk for guests with a day pass? I contacted guest relations and the only solution they could offer was to rent a $250 cabana. I'm bringing my son, leaving baby at home for the day with my husband, so just feeding baby isn't an option. What an absolute disappointment. read more

I had high hopes for Great Wolf Lodge and it dissapointed me mainly because of the check-in process, which is why it gets 2 stars! We tried using the self kiosk, which we thought would be efficient. There were three questions for the kiosk and we answered no to the third question, which led us to a long line. I was wondering what could be taking so long to check people in??? After waiting for a half hour, then I found the answer, which is that it's all a sales tactic. The employee who greeted us spent the next 5 minutes being long winded and talking to us about passes and why it was beneficial. I wanted to cut her off, but I didn't want to be rude. Everyone who is registered and paid, should be able to use a kiosk. The only people that need to see a person are those that are having problems or aren't registered. The reason why the kiosk didn't let us proceed to our room is because we chose free marking at the Rainmaker parking garage (Foxwoods) instead of $25 parking. This checkin process was really irritating and I was listening to other customers also become increasingly frustrated with the long wait. The water park itself was pretty good. I enjoyed the Lazy River the most, but also partook in the Wave Pool, slides and water basketball. My second biggest problem was the lack of soap in the showers. I tried 4 different showers and none of them had soap, not 1!!! I became increasingly frustrated and decided to just take a shower without soap, then went to my room to thoroughly shower with soap. We decided to get pizza at the Great Wolf Lodge and finally, good news!! I was expecting an edible pizza that was recently frozen. This pizza was absolutely delicious. It tasted fresh, dough was crispy, light and the veggies were all top noth. Who would've thought that the Great Wolf Lodge has better pizza than most mom and pop shops. If you do go, please get the pizza, its well worth it. This place would have a much higher rating if the check-in process wasn't so frustrating. There were a bunch of activities that we simply didn't have the time for, like bowling, arcade, mini golf and many others. We don't have children and enjoyed this with our friend's kids. I don't think we would've gone otherwise. The staff were all really nice and I can't blame them for the sales tactic with the check-in process. Haven't arrived yet and there have been so many issues, I paid for the whole trip in advance... I called because I received an email that my balance was due in full, they explained no and they then convinced me to book a cabana and get 2 passes for my kids bc they said it wouldn't be as easy to get them there and it would save me time... then I get an email that I owe $600 (doesn't even add up with the $140 passes and $150 left on the cabana) they gaslit me and told me that's its taxes on my whole stay... I have a screenshot of me paying taxes when I booked my reservation). Fast forward to today, I get an email saying my total balance is now higher and it's missing a package and nothing has been paid. I also emailed them the screenshots during one of the previous calls... today in the chat the person closes is out when I asked for a breakdown of charges/fess due bc it is not adding up. I call, and again it's me not them and they tell me that it's probably this or that and that it's bc I added things after making my reservation. We make it to check in and thankfully Chrissy and Avery were amazing, we got the wrong passes but came down and they fixed it. Food made me want to cry , we ate at the hungry wolf food hall and our order was wrong I came to this restaurant for the hot dog on a stick bc in Venice/LA/SD it's the place to get lemonade and guess what... no lemonade here just a slushie lemonade. $100 for food that's worse than gas station food is disappointing. I'm RATING 2.5 STARS SO ILL ROUND UP TO 3. I'm not sure what to think about this "new" GWL. We have been to various GWL's in MA, PA & NJ & I think this is our LEAST Favorite one. The entire project seemed rushed. It was supposed to be HUGE- but I believe they scaled it down.... Because I think it's smaller than the Fitchburg Location They have all the same type of stuff. Magiquest, Bowling, a mining area, the Ropes Course, an arcade (A SMALL ONE) and hole in one mini golf. They also have a few different things, including the adventure trail & a virtual reality game/area. Every morning the line for check in was 2+ HOURS. IF YOU CAN- MY ADVU USE THE KIOSK.... Thankfully I used the KIOSK & was able to immediately check in and get to my room. THANK GOD. The dance parties were a bit lame compared to Fitchburg- no bubbles. Only one employee had the enthusiasm the other place had. Seems like a rushed, watered down GWL. Also BOWLING IS $7 PER PERSON FOR ONLY 4 FRAMES! WHAT A RIP OFF. At Fitchburg it's $7 for the game (not per person) and you get like 10 frames (or standard amount of frames not only 4)!!! Also the waterpark is VERY SMALL. $25 TO PARK?!? when you go to the casino- it's free. WHAT A RIP OFF.... Dinner at the fireside place- was "decent" but was charged $30 for ONE drink (not sure why- but it looks as though I was billed for a double when I absolutely did NOT request that at all) and it came to $175 for the entire bill (which is ridiculous for 3 adults and 2 children )....! read more

Not the type of establishment I would typically visit but I went for a special little girl in my life. If she could, I'm sure she would give it 5 stars!! I don't think she stopped smiling once while we were here so that's a major win in my book. I've read other reviews saying that the water at the water park was cold and complaining that their kids lips were blue the entire time. This was not the case for us. She couldn't get enough of the water park and enjoyed every second. I would suggest getting there when it first opens so you have a couple of hours to enjoy it before it gets really packed and it gets really packed!! The public restrooms in the water park were clean and well maintained. Staff did a good job keeping the floors in the water park clean and free of hair... and other things. Our room was clean and surprisingly quiet in the evenings and early mornings which was nice! The bathroom was your basic toilet and tub/shower with a shelf for towels or personal items and a hook on the back of the door for hanging towels or wet bathing suits. There was additional space to hang clothing right by the front door which was convenient. We had two queen sized beds in our room and they were pretty comfortable. There was a small fridge in the room which was nice to have and a good sized tv with plenty of popular kid channels. There is a Dunks which was nice to have and if you get there as soon as it opens, the wait isn't bad. The ropes course was a big hit. I didn't do it myself but she had a blast and I had fun watching. Bowling was fun but very short and quite expensive. Same with the minigolf. Build-a-Bear lacked variety which was disappointing for me hahaha but this trip wasn't about me and she got the unicorn she wanted!! The candy was overpriced but again- she was all smiles. The restaurant there was just okay... the food was mediocre.. drinks expensive and weak.. service wasn't horribly slow but on the slow side for sure. Our server was very nice though and made sure we had everything we needed. The entertainment in the lobby was great for kids. There was music and dancing and lots of bubbles. It got pretty packed in there and yes it was loud but isn't that to be expected? Foxwoods is a very short walk across the street! The staff seemed to do a good job keeping the floors clean and sanitary which I can appreciate!! I can't really comment much on the overall price as my BF graciously paid, however, from what I know I can say that this place is definitely overpriced!! Kids love it though and there are certainly various activities to keep them busy and happy. Also, $25 for parking!?? That's ridiculous. I have to say, the vibe was good here. Lots of people just having a good time and for the most part, people were polite and considerate of others. The wolf ears are adorable! I just wish they had a bigger and better gift shop. First to start I am 15 years old so a child writing a bad review about a place that is suppose to be heaven for children is crazy. To start off the buffet was terrible they had all the dinner left overs for breakfast plus some new things but still dinner left overs!?. Next we unfortunately had the experience of going to the hotel the day a cheer team was in the room above us. They were banging on the floors until midnight and we called the front desk 5 times to complain and each time the lady said "there is nothing she can do and they have a competition tomorrow so they need to practice and they already informed her they would be making noise". At 10pm we decided to go downstairs to ask the people if they could just please call the room but then we saw the guy in the room next door and he said the banging was keeping his 7 and 9 year old kids up and the front desk lady was nothing but rude him when he went downstairs to complain. Update- never got my bill at checkout. Had to request it a few days later when I saw the very high charge on my credit card statement. Glad I did because they overcharged me! I had only a certain balance left on my reservation and they charged me an additional $231!! They're processing the refund but wonder how many people haven't noticed! Furthermore I have additional GWL charges separate from the total bill I was charged. Currently trying to get a refund on those as they are also included on the itemized bill! Wow just wow read more

Great Wolf Lodge in Connecticut opened on April 25, 2025, and we booked our 4-day/3-night stay from August 24 through August 27, 2025 before the new school year. We used promo code GRAND to book a Deluxe Grizzly Bear Suite (Standard) for 6 adults and 5 kids which included water park passes for a total of $2,143.47 (saving $1,703.00). Breakdown (after grand opening promo): $1,743.90 room + $279.60 taxes + $119.97 resort fee = $2,143.47. The lodge facility is new, and so far, the venue is clean. However, the construction in the suites seem a bit shoddy. There were gaps (missing flooring) in the floor where there should have been a transition strip in the flooring under the door between rooms. Our experience in the waterpark is less than subpar... My 5 year old soon-to-be first grader only enjoyed the lazy river and did a round of waterslides. We came across feces/stool on the stairs up towards the waterslides. So, a waterpark guest decided to drop a deuce on the stairs and no staff was alerted about the biohazard. Highly recommend wearing water shoes, goggles, and inform your kids not to ingest the water especially while in the lazy river! read more

(And a special place in heaven for the kind, hard working people who cook, clean and care for the guests -- especially the patient teenagers who amazingly rise above to help the neverending throng of children.) So, there is no zero stars so this one star review explains what you can expect: - Endless lines - Noise - Industrially dry rooms that have sheets with a thread count of 6 or 7. (6-7 joke!) - Overpriced Industrial slop rebranded as food. - Disney prices. Rmv experience. - It's like an airport duct taped to a TGI-McScratchy's - Anybody in their right mind who books this place deserves the insomnia and staph infection that await! Here's an odd observation, which explains how such a hellhole can exist : Your kids will love it and will ask to return the second they leave! Other experiences soon after leaving : Your partner will ask for a divorce. And your accountant will ask what the hell you were thinking. And your doctor will prescribe antibiotics. Worst worst worst place ever conjured from the depths of corporate depravity. I was waiting for the murderous South Park Woodland Critters to rise from the nether and, had I stayed one more day, I surely would have hallucinated them. I wondered -- how could parents abide this? A new GFL in Ct, it's only 2 hrs from where I live which is Westchester county. Going was easy peasy but on the way back, traffic on 95 , basically a regular day on the road. I been to the Poconos & Perryville locations. I like Perryville because the activities are separated in 3 buildings. I have 20 locations left to visit GFL. Foxwood & GFL partnered up which is a good idea . Activities for all ages, when the kids are in bed, the adults can walk across the street to Foxwoods, and gamble, catch a show, shopping , eat in a up scale restaurants. If you are counting your steps , you will definitely accumulate 20k just by walking around Foxwoods. GFL is new so Staff are eager to help out. Place is clean and well kept. All the activities at other GFL locations are at Ct also. The arcade cards & ministry wand are transferable to any locations . I am pleased with their double patty , fries & wings. Must be a new menu cause I didn't see those at other GFL locations . Their snack shop is 24 hrs, no vending machines on the floor. Their breakfast package is worth buying. For dinner hope over to Foxwoods. They do have a restaurant with in GFL. Check in and out was easy peasy . Plenty of parking but the fee is in the rooms invoice . My room was made well comfy & roomy with an average bathroom. The scenery makes you feel the wilderness inside your room. Til next time! read more
