So, for those not in the know, everything payment wise is digital for the most part. You can purchase your play pass cards at any of the kiosks near the entrance. The tickets you earn from each game are also digital. I mention this because it's a concept wifey nearly missed at first (we're among the generation accustomed to receiving paper tickets from the slot). My most minor complaint about this place, however, is the pricing of the games. Interval wise, they seem almost random. Like, why couldn't they at least round everything off to the nearest dollar? Just make games range from $1.00, $1.50, $2.00, etc. Instead, you get all the old school games for 75 cents. Skee-Ball was a buck 25 for some reason. And some games seemed a bit steep for what they were offering. Bowling was $2.50, though I must admit, it's quite an addicting game. Yeah, overall...not a bad way to kill some time if you're waiting on a rez, event, or whatever. But I agree with others when they said this arcade is quite pricey. I realize inflation's a thing but GEEZ! They have different package levels to choose from when selecting your play pass. But you'd be surprised how quickly one can burn through $50 worth of games. For the 6 of us (2 of them being children) we still took home some left overs. Like I said - we're inexperienced bowlers and it took us 2 hours to play 2 games of bowling on 1 lane for the 6 of us. Let that not be a testament to their apparent popularity level; but rather, the typical American's propensity to get plastered via pre-gaming as their search for a solid fireworks show compels them to parts unknown. It's this lack of attendance, however, that gives me the vibe we literally could have waltzed in here wearing anything shy of a scantily clad bathing suit or something. See, usually...it's other guests that complain about folks' attire more so than the business itself. At least, in my experience. Nevertheless, I avoided their 3 big no-nos: no baseball caps, tank tops, or basically any attire that makes one otherwise appear to be an "undesirable" after 7PM. Translation: if you wear some kind of fancy hat with non-ripped jeans and a clean shirt, you'll fit in just fine. Naturally, we came in with the intent to shoot some pool. There are 3 tables, each prorated at $10 per half hour (even though the site just says $20 an hour). I guess they train the bartenders to say the first thing so that it sounds cheaper when said aloud. Small caveat at the time of writing this review: one of their pool tables is faulty due to a rather noticeable tear on the fabric. Luckily for us, we were forewarned by the greeting staff at what I'll assume to be the bowling check-in desk. Although we didn't try any food seeing as how we came in right after having dinner at Cedars Steakhouse, the drinks were on point. Plus, the table we used was perfectly level. We didn't like the fact there was no cue assist aiming stick for those hard-to-reach-shots (IYKYK). Outside of that, there's really nothing bad to say about this lounge. Perhaps when we visit Foxwoods again, we'll actually try the food next time around. We went to play pool thinking that a "High Roller" lounge would have well maintained pool tables. There were three tables, two of them had gashes in the felt, the felt on all three was very worn and several of the pool cues had no tips on them, not a good experience! When we were cashing out, Jackie apologized again for the slow service, and I assured her that it was not her fault that management left her alone to handle a 30+ seat bar and tables with probably 40 guests. While I was talking to Jackie, there was a supervisor at the bar talking to Jackie, she chimed in and apologized and stated that they weren't expecting it to be busy. It was Sunday of Labor Day weekend, commonly considered a second Saturday in the casino world. They definitely should have known it would be busy. Where was the supervisor while Jackie was getting overwhelmed, why wasn't she at the bar helping out? I applaud Jackie for doing a great job under the circumstances, she is pleasant, knowledgeable and a great server, but I won't return until they do some maintenance on the pool tables, they were in worst shape than a neighborhood bar pool table, and for $20 an hour to play pool I would expect much better.

From photos online, it looked like it might feel a little cramped, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. The layout is open, there are multiple ways to access the outdoor seating areas, and it never felt claustrophobic. The outdoor space is another huge plus. Between the cornhole boards, ladder ball, and plenty of room to spread out, it's the kind of place where you could easily spend an entire afternoon with friends or family. Most importantly, the staff was wonderful. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and made the atmosphere feel relaxed from the moment I walked in. Whether you're looking for a lively afternoon with games or just a comfortable place to escape the crowds for a while with a great drink, the Windjammer is well worth a stop.
