I called multiple numbers for the well pump vendor I knew the last owner had used, and they never got back to us for weeks. (Funnily, they finally called an hour before Chris was coming to say they finally got the email (sent 24+ hours before) and none of my calls. Um, ok, maybe fix your website and yelp info????) Our neighbor recommended Chris, and Leslie called back within 4 hours, and had Chris squeeze us in at the end of the day. In short, if you want the work done right, these are the people. They're not the cheapest nor the most expensive, but they're honest and the work is top quality. Chris, his son, and Leslie came out to re-sleeve our well and replace the pump. Everything was straightforward. It was a lot of work, but they worked hard. The piping is gorgeous. The wiring, too. I've seen shoddy work, and this is quality stuff, with schedule 80 pipe and no leaks. Castro Valley is a bit far from their home, so maybe it took longer than we'd hoped, spread out over a holiday week, but the final product is worth the wait, and we have a big storage tank, so we were never in danger of running out of water. We live in a rural area. I have used Chris multiple times already to service a pressure pump, a well, and for re-piping damaged pipe. He works extremely hard, returning calls on weekends for emergency services. He is a one of a kind professional and well deserving of the rate he charges. I would literally be lost with the water system we ended up taking over as my knowledge of wells, pumps, tanks etc was quite limited (and probably still is) but because of his advice and help, I know more now than what I did before. That alone is priceless with water being such a valuable and taken for granted commodity when you depend on a well for your water needs and don't have the benefit of being connected to city water. read more

Called for service, schedule appointment, was called and asked to move because of customer without water, I agreed, wait for 6 hrs no show. We've used owner Chris twice over the last several years. I believe he specializes in rural and smaller industrial water systems. We have a well with a ~3 hp pump, pressure tank, a typical rural water setup. The first time he was called to repair the system was as we were buying the place, he did a fine job (paid by the real estate company who listed our house). Chris is in no rush, and is happy to share his knowledge. The second time, years later, we paid him for a small repair, asked for a quote to connect a 5,000 gal. water storage tank and install associated pumps and controllers. We liked his quote given in Aug, 2012 and requested the work be scheduled. After several weeks, we asked about the status, and the office manager (wife Leslie I believe) said curtly that the job was in the pile, he'll get to it when he can. That was several months ago. I labored between a 4-star rating and a 5-star rating with the only downside to using Water Tech Systems is you need to be patient; they have more business than they can handle in a 60-hr work week so Chris and his wife Leslie (who runs the office/scheduling, etc) work long hours and many weekends trying to catch-up...if you have an emergency Chris is the guy to call..........if don't have an emergency (as we didn't) Chris is still the guy to call, you just need to give him and Leslie time to work you in. She/Leslie responds to e-mails and my patient follow-up was always answered with an apology and explanation and after a couple months, we have our new "elevation pump" and away we go!!! My experience with Chris Hamburger has ALWAYS been positive. Recently, our well system wasn't pumping water and we were pretty much on 'driplets'. I called Chris and asked him if he could come and see what the problem was. Chris of course was swamped, but said he would get to the house late in the day - which was on a Saturday. We had enough water for the horses and were limping along for the house water. I got a call from Chris late Saturday (about 9:30pm) and Chris said he was on his way. I told him we were okay until Monday. He assured me that he would be at the house on Monday morning at 7am, which we were okay with. But low and behold who showed up at our house on SUNDAY morning but Chris AND his family. They were on their way to a family function, and he went out of his way to make sure that he took care of our system. He was at our house for a couple of hours, and his wife and family just took it in stride! I would highly recommend this company! read more
