The repairs are always done in a timely manner, they never try to oversell unnecessary work, and they consistently recommend quality parts. What I especially appreciate is that the owner/team take the time to explain the urgency level of maintenance items. For example, they'll honestly tell you something like: "Your brakes are still good for now, but I wouldn't push them past another couple of months." That kind of transparency really helps you plan and prioritize repairs properly. They've completed major work on my cars, including an engine replacement on the Jetta and a full differential and transfer case replacement on the BMW. The repairs were flawless and didn't take months to complete. I truly recommend this garage if you value honesty, fair pricing, and high-quality workmanship. Thanks to the whole team! - Dan

Larry, the owner, always gives me an honest assessment of works that's a good idea and also the work that he feels may not be necessary. I never feel pushed into preventative work that may not be worth while. As an example, I brought my car in and asked to have some preventative maintenance work done and the tires changed. I ended up not going ahead with the maintenance work as he suggested it wouldn't be necessary right now. He lost two hours of labour costs but continues to build trust and respect with great service and honest advice. Like the previous reviewer mentioned, it's a no frills operation but luckily I don't look to my mechanic for good coffee and a place to watch TV.

I have been a client of Roy Rump & Sons for about 4 years now and each time I've needed them, I was made to feel welcome by both the front-desk folks and the mechanical technicians. They explain all repairs clearly and with patience. They always provide as accurate an estimate as possible and, if they diagnose an issue and discover it was a simpler fix than they thought at the time, they gladly tell me that it will not cost as much to fix and that kind of honesty is why I will never go anywhere else. They always send me reports with digital photos and videos of the work along with their recommendations to keep my SUV in good working condition. There in only one little drawback... because they are so popular for all the things I mentioned, they are very busy a lot of the time and it can affect how soon they can book an appointment with you but, it is always worth the wait. I can't say enough great things about this Garage. Don't waste your time or your money elsewhere. Cynthia F.

I notice 2 horrible reviews her on yelp. On google they have a near perfect score. In my opinion, the two reviews don't hold water. One is by someone listed as being in California, with only one review. The other is local, also one review. I'm guessing they are fake accounts. Do with that what you will.

However, it has now been more than one month, and the repairs are still not completed. What has been most disappointing is the lack of communication. Throughout this process, I have never been given a clear completion date. Each time I ask for an update, I am told that they cannot provide an estimated finish date. As a customer, this has been very frustrating because I need to plan my transportation and daily activities. I understand that delays can happen due to parts shortages or unexpected repair issues. However, customers deserve regular updates and honest communication about the progress of their vehicles. Unfortunately, my experience has left me feeling that the service was not professional. I hope this feedback helps improve communication and customer service for future customers.
