Please read!!! I'm not one to negative reviews. But this has to be said.. So I had an opportunity to trade in my truck at Donnelly Ford and obtain a used truck. I do understand the vehicle is 15-16 years of age. It was a 2006 Ford Ranger. If I had my choice, I would have gone to a different mechanic. I travelled 9 hours to obtain this truck and by no means am I a mechanic. But this place is a ripoff from the start. My father passed away years ago and I'm sure with his guidance, I would have steered clear of this truck. Now the truck is not the issue by any means. The mechanics who did the certification, I mean come on. I work in a field if high standards and if this was the standards I lived by, I wouldn't have a job. The main part of obtaining this certain vehicle compared to many others was the low mileage of 125,000 km and 4x4. I could have found a 2wd anywhere. I informed the dealer as well as this establishment that 4x4 is a must. Stated that it engaged in parking lot. Well I'm sure they just heard the clicking of the solenoids and didn't even test it to ensure. Transfer case motor is seized from sitting. Just got it back from my home town mechanic. He just shook his head and said when was it safetied, last year? I said last week!!! Just go somewhere honest!! Right from the start its a big dissapointment. They didn't even change the oil and the oil pan is leaking. The drain plug is seized. They did some exhaust work and I have a leak in the exhaust connection behind the catalytic converter they changed out. Some pressure sensor near the manifold was changed out. Three hours labor and the engine light came on and now its on again after I erased it. The bed of truck was completely rotted out at the back and as I drove to Sudbury, I noticed it.. I mean these fools they call mechanics, don't you think they would say hey, the bed of truck is rotted out. I asked about the frame and yes, he said it was good. But you think this owner would say hey, the bed mount bolts at the front are holding nothing. All rotted it. I get it, it's an old truck. But I mean come on. I'm sure they are laughing all the way to the bank and as I say, it will come to get you in the long run. Karma is something I truly believe in.. Just to add another note.. They can't even order the proper tire size for the truck. 4x4 extended cab sport comes with 255/70/16. They surely didn't even look at what was on the truck as I took pictures and can clearly see 255, not 235 as the owner explained. I never complain and I never put in negative reviews for anyone. But this establishment no matter how many positive reviews for a remote starter. Mechanically, stay away!!!!!!! I made it home with the truck, however engine light came on half way home. Yes, I realize it's an old truck. But when you just fixed the part that took three hours to install. And it fails. I mean come on. The owner had really no concern and probably thinking he's in the Sault, fuck him!! Lessons are learned in life. Money and a fool are soon parted. As my dad always said, you'll learn. Well I can tell you this place got me good. No matter what the response or reply is from owner. What I'm telling you is the honest truth.. No need to lie at all. Just want to ensure this establishment gets the review it deserves. If I can save even one person some money, I would be happy. I'd give it a zero, but not sure if it will save. Take it anywhere else!!! I've got my local mechanic shop looking at it now. Truly a waste of money dealing with this establishment. read more

Not a good experience at all. The mechanics are a joke. The owner doesn't care. This would be the last place I'd take my vehicle. Exhaust was repaired by this establishment. Everything loose underneath and just shocking that this establishment is open.. Now maybe the owner is a good person, I don't know. But the work that comes out of this place is a joke. I would highly recommend if you live in the Ottawa area, stay clear of this business. Merry Christmas!!! read more

I bought an auto start from these guys and I get such a kick out of starting my car from across about 2 football fields. A nice clean install, reasonable price $487.50 (tax Incl) answered all my questions and delivered what they promised.
