I even called to speak to a consultant before making the purchase to discuss the purchase. After one week I heard nothing, so I called to follow up & was promised a call back. I didn't get one, so the next day, I followed up again. Finally, I was told that someone else sold the item I bought & there was no other one available. What would've happened if I didn't follow up? As if that wasn't bad enough, I was then offered a lab grown diamond in place of the natural diamond product I purchased!! I offered other suggestions but was met with a rigid response, so I asked to speak to the online manager to work through a solution. She didn't even have the care to manage a phone call to resolve the situation. Just a throw away email a day & a half later. Now, nearly 10 days after my purchase, I receive an email advising that I'll get a refund.. which will take up to another 10 days. That's nearly 3 weeks before I can shop for an alternative, which means I will likely run out of time & have no present for a milestone anniversary. Thanks for turning a moment of celebration into a moment of stress Shiels!! Clearly we have different ideas of what "the leading jewellery retailer in Australia" means.

Yes, I'm disappointed that you don't have the finest diamonds that I wanted...and because of that, we had to end our 5-minute relationship. As soon as you told me that you don't have the finest diamonds, and that you don't bother getting them at all because no-one can afford it. Also dear, you don't want to me to stay. You want me to go. But there was something about you - maybe it is your foreign non-Australian accent, or the way you wear those jewels. You know the key to my heart is the finest diamonds in Adelaide, and even though you don't have it, you've told me where to go next! (Oh, you're the most honest salesperson I've ever met!) So please. Because of your honesty, I want you to have a walk around with me then I'll take you home under my arm. Diamonds, when I find you, you're mine....forever.

This company is a fully authorised stockist and supplier of watches and jewellery from the world's most famous fashion houses, mostly from America! (There are also watches from Europe and other countries, but you can't help but notice most is made in the USA!) I personally get really terrified whenever I step into a jewellery or watches store. Everything is so damn expensive. For just one watch. The prices always turns me off, yet the look of it all makes me go TICK TOCK, all at the same time (did you like that connection I just made? Watches = time, get it?)! So now just imagine a tiny shop with white walls and glass cases everywhere. The watches are all well presented, gorgeous, classy, elegant and expensive! Atomic is a real nice place to go shopping for new watches - everywhere I looked I couldn't help but ask the shop assistant to open every window up, put it on my wrist, helplessly stare at it and take ages to take off! Atomic is dear, but it's fun to try them all on anyway. I mean, how often do I get to wear an Emporio Armani watch (albeit only for less than 60 ticks)? There's Marc Jacobs, DKNY for the elegant ladies who like her white ceramic bands, and gold. There's Emporio Armani and Armani for the elegant men who want to feel like a businessman, and sadly, a walkout for those with no money!

I take a more Greek approach to scheduling, working on the 'ish' system. However, I've been known to fall in love with a man on spying his super-dooper, sexy thang wrist fashion. I also buy expensive watches, that hardly ever get worn but sit lovingly among my jewellery. At Atomic all the watch fashion you could ever want is under one roof. They have all the brands, all the latest, and they do repairs as well (for those who actually wear their watches). It's not cheap, but then a good timepiece never is. In a nutshell - ohhh baby!

My eyes would have a field day (ooh...I like that one! that's shiny!) as I browsed what appeared to be a wide range of new school and old school sunglasses. I was expecting this to be a quick visit and to walk away - considering everything in the store to only be suited for someone with much more disposable income than myself. Lured inside by the proximity of the store to the Malls Balls (traffic centre of Rundle Mall), I decided to sum up the courage to just walk in! I suddenly believed that I am good enough for this store! I may not be rich, but I can pretend to be! I was suddenly resurrected from the dead from my last review, especially with the help of the friendly shop assistant (who had a fantastic sense of humour by the way! He said, "to call him Mango, because he's hot all year round!" lol) who literally hand picked things that were the "best-selling" glasses that "made me look fly" and helped me ignore those round black sunnies that "make me look like a fly". In what felt like more than half an hour of mutual rapport, after sorting through some cool and very expensive sunglasses, I came away remembering a few of those gorgeous brands (I personally digged the look of the 'Paul Smith' and 'Oliver Peoples' glasses, if you can afford the $550 price tag) that were high on my ratings. My imitation of being fly for the day is done! :) Shades is like the quiet marketplace of sunglasses - no-one has ever talked about it but if you find this store, and you're looking to add a little coolness in your life, I would highly recommend a visit!

When she…read morereturned to collect the watch after a few hours, the person in charge said that he wasn't able to take out the battery because he didn't have the right screw driver. He only works there once a month and does not know where everything is placed. He asked if my partner could collect the watch on the next day and he would ask the person on the next shift to fix her watch. My partner asked for a refund instead as she would not be able to do that. She took the watch to a watch repairer next door, unfortunately the person said two out of the four screws on the back of the watch have been smoothened out and this means he can no longer open it up to replace the battery. She went back to tick tock again and asked the person if he may have damaged the screws because this watch has not been opened up before. The person raised his voice and said that it came like that. He was also adamant that he has not 'touched it'. She mentioned to him calmly that she found it difficult to believe as he didn't mention anything about screws being smoothened out at the first place. He denied making a mistake, raised his voice and appeared angry during the conversation to a point that she needed to ask him to lower his voice. She went to a third watch repairer and was told that the watch will need to be sent to the manufacturer for a repair and is likely to incur extra cost. I am utterly disappointed with the service that she had received from Tick tock (adelaide) and would seriously not recommend it to anyone.

The man who served me was an overweight, bald and rough looking c***. Stupid idea being so rude and unproffesional when Mister Minit is a few metres away.

Whether it is your friend's birthday, your birthday or if you need to get a monkey magic pillow for your couch; Bimbo has something for you. The store is full of interesting items that will suit almost anyone. They have a great collection of novelty books, designer jewellery, clocks, watches, and toys; the list goes on... Bimbo has actually been one of Adelaide's long-standing unique gift stores for over 10 years. So you know that they have quality items. I have found the funniest gifts in this store for my friends; like a book called "Let's draw a c**k on it" and "How to speak to a zombie". Brilliant! I should not forget to mention that homeware items are super cool, like clocks made from records, funky vintage styled clocks, cool picture frames and flask essential oil burners.
