My partner brought a watch to Tick Tock on 20th November for a battery replacement. When she returned to collect the watch after a few hours, the person in charge said that he wasn't able to take out the battery because he didn't have the right screw driver. He only works there once a month and does not know where everything is placed. He asked if my partner could collect the watch on the next day and he would ask the person on the next shift to fix her watch. My partner asked for a refund instead as she would not be able to do that. She took the watch to a watch repairer next door, unfortunately the person said two out of the four screws on the back of the watch have been smoothened out and this means he can no longer open it up to replace the battery. She went back to tick tock again and asked the person if he may have damaged the screws because this watch has not been opened up before. The person raised his voice and said that it came like that. He was also adamant that he has not 'touched it'. She mentioned to him calmly that she found it difficult to believe as he didn't mention anything about screws being smoothened out at the first place. He denied making a mistake, raised his voice and appeared angry during the conversation to a point that she needed to ask him to lower his voice. She went to a third watch repairer and was told that the watch will need to be sent to the manufacturer for a repair and is likely to incur extra cost. I am utterly disappointed with the service that she had received from Tick tock (adelaide) and would seriously not recommend it to anyone. read more
