It kinda bothers me that there isn't an apostrophe in "Peters" but there you go. Not much I can do…read moreabout it... Peter's Disposals is a pawn shop in Port Adelaide that is literally around the corner from the local Cash Converters. Unlike the rather sterile feeling Cash Converters stores however, Peters Disposals is a small pawn shop with a lot of charm. Near the entrance are the video games, DVDs, and mainly electronic equipment. Around the corner is the "other stuff", which is basically anything that doesn't fall into the realm of electronics. You'll notice the shop is only open 6 days a week. On Sundays they have a permanent stall at the Fisherman's Wharf Markets just up the road. It's worth visiting both the store and the market stall as there are different items in both. Don't worry about the lack of apostrophe, this is another little pawn shop where you're bound to find a treasure or 2 if you have a dig through it.

But we'll probably never, ever know! Such is life, I guess. This place is great, though. It's one of the few non-Cash Converters pawn shops around. Or, at least, one of the few I've ever come across. It doesn't suffer from the cleanliness of Cash Converters. I say suffer, because you never make 'finds' at Cash Converters. It doesn't feel like a 'find'. However, finding a little bit of something behind a bigger something in a place like this really feels great. You know what my great find was? An old computer game we used to play at school to learn geography called: 'Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?' This wasn't the first time I'd come across it. Funnily enough (and perfectly serving the purposes of this review), I'd found it at a Cash Converters once. But I didn't care. So I didn't buy it. But like I've explained: it felt like a 'find'. And I had to honour that 'find' with a 'purchase'.
