Dr. Phan encouraged me to do full sedation and I believe there was a bone graphic as part of the procedure. My cost after insurance was going to be over $1600. After meeting Dr. Pledger, he mentioned that bone graphs are not recommended or necessary for standard wisdom tooth extractions, and local anesthetic is a perfectly fine option. My cost after insurance was under $300. I was very happy to do local anesthetic as it did not hurt and I was able to drive myself home right after the 20 or 30 minute operation. The car savings were significant and I'm glad Dr. Pledger talked me through the options so I could make a more informed decision versus being pushed into a specific (and more costly) treatment with my first consultation.

This was a better experience than the last time I had an extraction from an oral surgeon in Huntington Beach a few years ago. It took a week for the pain to subside. Which was a more expensive place. My only complaint was sometimes it was hard for me to get a hold of the office for the appointment. But once your on the line it was all smooth.

I was leaving town, I called them 3 times, computers down, call later. When I finally got thru, They were too busy for me. I called my old dentist, he took me right back.
