We ended up getting lucky with street parking close by but our other gfs had to park a few blocks away/by the park The ambiance is so cute. There's indoor outdoor and upstairs seating. The upstairs seems like it's more for bigger parties-- there was a baby shower going on when we arrived The food was good. Highly recommend the corn soup, seafood rice gratin, and the dessert trio. Flavors were light but delicious! Menu is slightly limited but this restaurant gives more of a small cafe feel. The restaurant's website says: Brunch Saturday and Sunday ONLY 9:30am - 2:30pm (Last seating 1:30pm) I tried making a reservation via OpenTable for various times within the posted Brunch period, but kept getting "Please accept our apologies, OpenTable has no availability on this date at this restaurant," and suggesting future similar Friday times for weeks in advance. I wondered what sort of answer I would get if I phoned directly, but when I repeatedly called during business hours, no one answered the phone. As a last resort, I even offered to take a vacation day from work so we could schedule for one of the Fridays OpenTable kept suggesting, but at this point, she had lost interest. She said I shouldn't have to go so far as to take off from work just to give this restaurant a try.

Rehearsal and day of wedding I had Kat helping me. She was a breath of fresh air, intuitive and kept people on a schedule. She helped me feel calm and that everything was in order. Day of the wedding we also had Kim helping and she brought a great energy and made sure I had a drink in my hand at all times. Also the male servers were very kind and proactive. (I wish I knew their names.) I appreciate how nice and accommodating the staff was to my dog Chili. He loved being apart of our special day I'm very happy he was able to be there. The food was insane, the drinks were tasty, and the atmosphere was incredible. It smelled so amazing and we had great weather. There's not a bad spot on the property to take photographs. I can't wait to see my photos I took behind the pond in the greenery. I'm very glad I picked this venue for my wedding. The staff did us a solid and boxed up some food for my husband and I and we ate it right after we left. That was really cool of them. We had an issue with an unprofessional vendor after our wedding and they were able to help us resolve the problem and understood our concerns. Mahalo again Haiku Gardens we appreciate you!

The attention to detail, sense of urgency, the care for the bride was all spot on. They really do take the stress out of your special day so you can enjoy the beauty of Hawaii. For us specifically, we had family members coming from multiple places and I caught a fever. Thankfully, the Idowedding team hand held us through the entire process from advising which hotel to stay at and what's popular to eat. Their care allows you to stress less. It did not feel like we were going through a cookie cutter machine but rather they viewed us as a project to succeed on which makes all the difference in customer experience. Five stars from me as they really impressed me with their personal touch on our once in a lifetime day.

It was helpful during the intake because they ask specific questions to narrow down your search and give you a very easy list of the options for what you are looking for. I do think it would have been a smoother process in the beginning if there was regular communication from the very getgo but it was a little slow as I'm sure they had to prioritize the weddings that were more upcoming. However when it came time closer to our wedding they were definitely very involved in trying to get all details lined up. I had some anxiety with the wedding and whole planning process especially with the weather conditions but there was consistent and constant communication leading up and their advice and suggestions/expertise really helped in making decisions. The day itself was difficult as it was really downpouring right up until the ceremony began but seeing the staff and Cindy and Jessica work so hard for all things to come together was really wonderful and you can tell they really worked hard to make everything come together. Planning a destination is not easy at all and as much of a difficulty it is making decisions, having this team really made it so much easier and you can feel like you can leave it up to them to get everything completed. There were a few hiccups with some items of course that you can expect with all weddings for sure but it was still such an amazing and easy experience that you don't even care about the things that didn't go fully right and just remember the amazing time and the whole wedding that it didn't feel there were any regrets at all. Cindy especially was so good at responses and answering all the nitty gritty that they are such a great team and Jessica really tries to take on the stresses for you so that you're not stressed as the bride. I would recommend if you're looking for a wedding planner as they have a lot encompassing to offer and my wedding turned out absolutely beautiful! Thank you Ido team and Jessica and Cindy especially!!!

Pros 1. Flexible vendor policy: They were fine with us…read morehiring vendors we found ourselves. 2. Chinese-speaking support: This was helpful for family members who aren't comfortable communicating in English. 3. Natural-looking photos: The photo style is natural, and they were willing to accommodate some of our shot requests. 4. Makeup recommendation: The makeup artist they recommended (Abbie) was good, provided us polished makeup, and she was attentive and responsible with touch-ups. Major Cons 1. Big attitude shift after we signed. Before we signed, communication was quick and friendly. After signing, there was a period when they became extremely difficult to reach. I understand wedding season is busy, but going 1-2 weeks with no response is not acceptable. It made us feel like our wedding simply wasn't important to them. 2. Rude, harsh tone on the wedding day. Right before the ceremony started, the coordinator (CJ) sharply asked me, my husband, and my dad: "You didn't practice the handoff?" That kind of accusatory, sarcastic comment is the last thing a couple needs moments before walking down the aisle. It's the coordinator's job to guide the process, not blame the family. It immediately put us in a bad mood. 3. Dismissive of the bride's requests. I wanted the family members to walk down the aisle, and I had already discussed it with the band. CJ responded with an unpleasant, challenging tone--"They're walking too?" To avoid conflict and protect my mood, I gave in and said only the groom would walk. That also meant we lost the moment we planned with Canon, a piece I really love. I'm still sad about that. 4. Poor vendor coordination. Even something as basic as the cake delivery became something I had to worry about myself. If there was an issue, it should have been communicated ahead of time, not brought up last-minute on the wedding day. 5. Weak handling of time changes / emergencies. We were delayed by a little over ten minutes due to circumstances outside our control. Even with that, we still should have had a short pre-ceremony photo window to breathe, listen to the music, take photos, and settle our nerves. Instead, because the coordinator didn't clarify details with the band in advance, they immediately rushed everything when we arrived. Many songs I carefully chose were never heard. The priority felt like "finish the schedule," not "help the couple enjoy their wedding." 6. Package items not delivered. There should be musicians playing/singing a few songs during post-ceremony photo time to keep the atmosphere lively. That never happened. 7. Edited photos delivered very late, and then they stopped responding. After the wedding, I had to ask twice just to receive the retouched photos, and they looked rushed and rough, like they were done quickly before sent out. We then requested re-edits. At first there were replies (though I still had to keep following up). But after the last round of feedback, more than two months passed and I still never received the updated photos. I sent multiple follow-up emails and got no response. Minor Cons 1. Inconsistent pricing and a depends on mood feel. Small add-on services kept changing price, sometimes the same service was quoted at $100, other times $40. That lack of consistency felt unprofessional. 2. Limited vendor recommendations. I ended up finding most vendors myself. The florist they recommended was also significantly more expensive, over 60% higher than the florist I found. Overall If I had to score it out of 100: * Coordination: 50/100 * Photography: 80/100 * Photo editing/delivery: 50/100 The biggest issue is that the planner/coordinator and photographer they provided were the same person, and unfortunately neither role was handled well. I wouldn't recommend this setup. For future couples: it's much better to hire different specialists rather than one person trying to cover multiple vendor roles.

There are two areas in particular where she and her team did an amazing job: (1) Design/decoration services: My husband and I didn't know a lot about wedding decorations, and Shari did an incredible job translating our overall design preferences into all of the details that contributed to an absolutely beautiful wedding day. She had a great eye for tying together the design and color choices for our flowers, linens, ceremony and reception decorations into one cohesive, romantic look that completely exceeded our expectations on the day of our wedding. We received so many compliments from our guests, too. There was no way our wedding aesthetic would have come out the way it did without Shari's advice and design suggestions. It was so magical!!
