Waste Management (http://www.wm.com) is awful. Do NOT get garbage disposal by them if you can avoid it. Right now, I am in the process of switching and warning all my friends and family. Their customer service "professionals" are not very professional. THREE TIMES they messed up my bill and invoice. Each time they added on a new fee for a new reason! (Ridiculous!) I seriously am so pissed off I want to find a class action lawyer because they treat their customers like crap. My trash can frequently has to be retrieved from the street because they throw it into the middle of the road. My actual trashcan took over 1 month to appear but they still tried to charge me an unadvertised 'activation fee'. (What the hell? It's not like a cable modem or electronic device, its a freaking green plastic container. Stop acting like this is advanced technology!) The way they lure customers in is they promise the best rate. They claim that you will only have to pay $55 per quarter (or whatever is the lowest amount) for your area. In writing, I have gotten this quote from them both online and from customer service representatives. But then when you receive your bill, they upcharge without clear explanation. STAY AWAY!!!! read more

Dont waste your time to rent a dumpster..there automatic phone service sucks..you will be on hold for 45 min

Picked up trash once in the last five weeks. No trash pick up at all for the last three. There is month-old garbage in my bin - in July. We had a contract with Advanced and WM bought them - poor service went straight down hill to wretched. Don't answer their phone. Don't answer their web contact form. Really - unbelievable. Oh - I have to give them at least one star. Whatever for? read more

I have been using Waste Mangement for 8 years. They are horrible! They don't pick up my garbage for 3 weeks until I start calling and calling. The flies and bees are horrible! Waste Management charges between $110 - $130/qtr. I found Whitetail Garbage for $69/qtr. They will also pick up a bulk item once a month free of charge - Waste Management charges extra. Now when I am finally getting rid of paying a garbage company that doesn't even come they want to charge me $75 to pick up their containers! What a rip off company! read more

If I could give them negative stars, I would. They miss scheduled trash pick-ups all the time, always will some ridiculous execuse about new driver or not having the key. Despite repeated complaints, they do not fix this. We will be contacting another trash company. A dumpster area is a mess because of them!! read more

The Local Route Manager refuses to change the schedule of pickups of the many office buildings that are directly behind our condo. For months we've asked them to change it as they've been coming between 3-4AM. They refused. When they do this it's like a bomb going off with each haul. They said they can do whatever they want. The Township even asked through the Property Owner to at least change it to 6AM. We had peace for all of 3!!! Days!! That's it. Now they've come back again at 5:30AM. The whole virus situation is bad enough but being allowed to sleep on top of it is worse. The company needs to change their policies as I was told I can call the police on them. I hope both the Local Route Manager and The Twitter Rep handling this issue get fired and go kill themselves for the number of people they've put at risk by severe sleep deprivation (which makes people dangerous behind the wheel & lower the body's immune system capabilities). If some here gets into an accident or dies by Corona I hope their families sue the pants off this company. The entire group of condo owners feel this way. read more

I am extremely unhappy with Waste Management! They add bogus fees, are rude to their customers AND charge more than the competition....... I canceled my service with them and they STILL continue to send bills, adding late charges and now threatening with turning over to an attorney. The bill they claim I owe is now at $56.35. ALL their made up fees! I made a big mistake by not doing my homework 12 years ago when I moved into my home. (I did not know of Yelp then or maybe they were not around that long ago?) I went with Waste Management because I saw that my neighbors used them. Big mistake! I went to their competition and I am saving almost $20 a month which after 12 years of over overpaying adds up to thousands! You would have thought they made enough on me....but, they are relentless! Do your homework and do not use Waste Management! read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED! Our bill recently increased and all i wanted to know was why so i called. The first call I got transferred twice then got hung up on, The second call I got transferred twice again and the phone went silent but it said I was still on call so I waited for about 15 minutes then got hung up on, The third call I got hung up on right as the representative picked up, Finally on the fourth call, I waited a good 10 minutes on hold before a representative picked up and helped me with my problem. If I could give negative infinity stars, I would and usually i'm a patient person and let things slide but with this customer service, I honestly can't read more

I moved in June. I called waste management to cancel my service, and they told me it was canceled. I recieved a bill through the month of June and paid it thinking it was the last bill. I then recieved another bill for July. I called in August to cancel again telling the customer service representative that I had canceled in May. This representative told me that it was now canceled as of June 1. I received another bill in September, and called again. I was given the same spiel. I then got another bill in October. I called again, and told them how I canceled in May, August, & September. I asked for an official letter canceling my service. I did not recieve this letter, and instead got an automated call telling me I owed them money for this address. I again called waste management to cancel, and request a letter that explicitly canceled the service. I finally got a letter in November telling me that they cancelled the service because repeated attempts to collect the money I owed for this address had failed, and if I did not pay I would face the bill going on my credit. My wife called, and they told her that they would refund me. Why the hell wouln't they cancel my service when I called the first five time, and why do I still have to pay them for service that I canceled five times, and did not recieve at an address I do not live at. I HATE WASTE MANAGEMENT, I WISH THEY DID NOT HAVE A MONOPOLY ON GARBAGE SERVICES WHERE I LIVE OR I WOULD CANCEL THEM. THEY WOULD PROBABLY STILL BILL ME ANYWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
