But after a few minutes of good service and chilled out vibe I was able to relax. The place to be on The Parade is thanks to that A-Team the Trims family, who are also responsible for the equally buzzy Sparrow and The Manse. All the carry on and hoo haa about this place I reckon is well deserved, coming here is a unique experience and there's nowhere else around quite like it. You get a little drinks card to hang onto so you can order ten dollar glasses of wine and pricey food without having to actually think about how much you're paying. Last time I came here we had fries, which come out on a wooden block with an accompanying bowl of 'aerated ketchup,' which was absolutely delicious. They appear to be fans of aeration, there are also donuts with aerated chocolate sauce, and scallops with aerated almond cream. We all know how Adelaide folk like to get all worked up over new things, and I reckon this place is worth the hype.

Giallo, you had me at writing "please consider sharing all dishes from entree to main," on your…read moremenu. For someone like me who gets serious food envy, this place is the place to take any friend, lover or family member who selfishly only ever wants to keep their dish to themselves. Why? Because you can say "well the menu recommends we share..." Giallo Wine Bar has recently been taken over by new management, who also owns Greenway Gallery next door. The setting is intimate and small and the outdoor area would be beautiful in summer. I'm not so sure about the random art pieces in glass cabinets around the restaurant but never mind you'll be too distracted by the menu. Whenever I dine out I try to pack in as many experiences as possible to my meal. As a result I will normally order 3 glasses of different wines rather than a bottle to share. Again, this place is a perfect setting! Go in, say what you feel like and the waiter will bring you something new and different to try. They have an amazingly diverse wine list that doesn't just stock from SA - that excites me. Their share plates are not big, but the richness and intensity of flavours mean that 3 or 4 plates + a salad for 2 is plenty. My favourite dishes were the scallops with a white bean puree and crisp pancetta or their Gawler River quail with caramalised pear and sherry vinegar. The blend of ingredients meant there were many oo's and ah's had with each bite. Service was wonderful and very efficient and there was never a moment our wine glasses or water was empty. Don't be on a budget when going here and please don't complain that the meals are too small. Sharing is caring people and stop being a greedy guts!

This is the last time, unless a change is made that I'll suggest eating there again. Just a woeful experience. Not blaming staff, poor girl was the only person staffed on to a full restaurant. My guest was too polite, I would have walked out. I chose to write this review as this has been my local for the last 2.5 years and sadly have watched the demise of any service. A few of my friends now actually refuse to attend due to the last time being asked to move from the only table (in the bar area), without a Reserved notice, to be told we could stand at the bar!

The food was excellent. a good number of choices for a set menu (6 entrees, 7 mains and 3 desserts). I had the Lamb back strap for entree, which was cooked to perfection. The Fillet steak with roasted Shallot's, potato and red wine jus was to die for! I prefer my meat to be well done (the foe of every chef) and therefore didn't expect the perfectly cooked (for me) piece of fillet steak that arrived. though well cooked it was still very juicy and tender. I had the pudding for dessert, which was lovely but the other choices looked divine I'll definitely go back

We stood up at the bar and enjoyed the buzz of the place (not with doof doof music or loud obnoxious patrons) but with chatter and people weaving together a night of fun for themselves. You can also sit at a booth upstairs and watch over the crowd, perch in one of the windows at the front or sit on stools at small benches. If you are someone who hates making decisions, this tiny hole in the wall, 65 person bar has already made half of them for you. Their simple menu includes 3 beers on tap and a selection of craft brews by the bottle, 3 whites and 3 reds by the glass, a selection of wines by the bottle and then any cocktail you request can be made. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable about all of the drinks on offer and make a point of telling you about what you are drinking, what it tastes like, or giving you recommendations. There are also only 4 food items on the menu - Coriole Olives, Pickels and 2 charcuterie boards made from The Charcuterie (a spin off from Lucia's Deli in the Central Market). We had the duck pate which doesn't sound or look that appetising but is actually not a paste but more of a shredded duck in pork belly fat goodness. The proscuitto platter again only came with bread and pickles but it didn't need anything else because of the quality of meat - it was a young cut of meat so not too typically proscuitto salty, very thinly sliced but still not bland. Now I have to warn all those typical Adelaidians our there who "refuse to line up." At 7pm on a Friday the line up was about 8 persons deep but we were inside within 20 minutes. Because this isn't a bar for spending hours and hours at people move in and out pretty quickly. So suck it up princess because CLT is worth the wait.

Way to go Ingrid!! I…read morehad done a little research online before my trip to Adelaide on the Wine Museum, but when I arrived I was a confused. The building is quite huge, but the museum portion and restaurant were much smaller than expected. Ingrid assured me I was in the right place. She pointed me in the direction to start the museum tour, and said when I finish to return to her in the cafe. The museum is a nice small educational space. It discusses the beginnings of wine, types of varietals - their tastes, smells, growing conditions, and best results. I've been learning about wine for over 30 years and was impressed by these few rooms and all the information. Next I headed back to Ingrid in the cafe. Where she explained I needed a wine card. This card could be swiped in any and or all of the cafe machines to purchase a taste, half glass or full glass of any of the 100 Australian wines available. They were set up in sixes by varietals, favorites and price. Ingrid also showed me the simple menu that paired well with wines. I went with a create your own charcuterie board. It was perfect. It was a gorgeous 85 degrees out, perfect for their patio. The only negative was if the occasional breeze popped up, there was a foul odor from a nearby garbage dumpster. A large portion of the building is used as an event venue. And a good section of the basement level stores thousands of cases of Australian wine. All in all a great way to spend several hours learning, eating and tasting so many of Australia's wine that you may never find anywhere else.

We shared an Australian kangaroo platter & charcuterie platter while sampling some delicious Australian wines in the Wined Bar. There were red, white, sparkling, sweet & fortified wine flights from $15-$18. Beer, cider, cappuccinos and liquor are on the menu as well. I tried the white wine flight and my husband the sweet wine flight, all of the local wines were amazing! Lunch was reasonable with wine, tax and tip it was $53 American dollars total.
