Hello, all. I am writing to give my highest recommendation to Washington Tax Services. I owned two small business. Within the past 2 years, I have been struggling to keep my business afloat. This past year, one of my businesses was closed. I was unable to keep up with my payroll taxes. In December, right before Christmas, the IRS wiped out my bank accounts and took control of money coming in. I had not wanted to face reality. I was nervous and afraid. I had 22 employees who were not going to be paid right before Christmas. Several Tax Professional companies were calling me trying to get me to sign with them. They made all kinds of false promises. I did my own research, and got quotes. After everything there were 2 companies that I felt could handle my case. The first one was going to charge me over 3,500 and could not give me any guarantees or resolution. Washington Tax charged less and did not make false promises. Their promise was to focus on my particular case and get the best results possible. I have to say they did just that. They were able to get enough money released for me to cover my payroll. Then they advised me to pay my current payroll tax obligations. It is less than 45 days and they have already worked out a payment plan with the IRS for what I owe. It is easier to let Washington Tax handle your IRS or any Tax issues, so you can focus on growing your business, and making sure it is profitable. I have no regrets on my choice. The other companies acted really concerned, but as you refuse their services, they start to get really rude and snippy. Again, I am 100 % satisfired with the services I received from Jay Freeborne at Washington Tax Services. read more

I'd worked through a complicated back-tax issue for years, finally paying off the entire balance to the IRS when I found comments from Jay from WATAX in a forum on taxes. I contacted Jay and explained my situation. I had questions regarding the possible recovery of any penalties and/or interest from my case. Jay was honest, professional and after hearing the details of my case, he was guardedly optimistic in the potential to recover some or all of the penalties. Dealing with the IRS can be a very long process. Over two years of slow progress and waiting on the IRS, Jay never forgot the details of my case and was always available to answer questions or provide updates. With his assistance and help we were able to make a five figure recovery of the penalties from my case. Not all tax assistance "professionals" are alike. My only prior experience with a tax attorney/CPA was seeking an OIC early in the process with a large, Lansing Michigan based firm who promised the world, charged many thousands of dollars only to advise me I need to "come up with more expenses" if an OIC was going to work. Obviously, you don't want to fake or "come up with" more expenses with the IRS to secure a better outcome for yourself. It's a felony to do so. It was a complete waste of time and thousands of dollars at a point when I could least afford it. I would recommend WATAX 100% for professionalism, honesty, knowledge of the system and their work ethic. Good luck in your situation. Greg read more

I have been doing business with this organization for over 5 years, my "personal representative" has been Mr Jay Freeborne. He was the first individual I spoke with after having been "BURNED" by a different organization who previously "took my money", and "NEVER RESOLVED ANY OF MY IRS ISSUES!! " From "DAY 1", Jay assured me that he would "not only do his best" in finding a solution for my particular issues with the IRS, but that I would "ALWAYS" be treated as an "INDIVIDUAL" and not just a "$ sign"! To this very day, 5 year s later, I have never received anything but "First Class Service" from him and his staff. Any time I had an issue of concern, I would call or email him and "without a single exception" he would respond to me with-in 24 hours or less, "usually a lot less", any would handle whatever the issue of the time was. You will "NEVER" find that kind of "personal 1 on 1" attention from any other "Tax Relief" organization!!!!! Jay "DID" find a resolution for my IRS issues, and to this day I have nothing but the "Highest Respect and Appreciation" for Jay and his "OUTSTANDING" organization Washington Tax Services. There is no way to describe the "peace of mind" and the relief I feel in my day-to-day life, without the constant pressure of IRS issues!! Thank you Mr Freeborne - I hope those that may read this will not hesitate to use your services if they have any IRS tax issues, because, "THERE IS NO BETTER"!!!!!! read more

I AM a customer of Washington tax since 11/1/12 and all i can say about the service so far is WOW!!! I hadn't filed since 2004, anytime i got a letter from the IRS i didn't even open it (yeah i know dumb but lots of things lead up to this) In November my Dad (who i subcontract most of my work from) received a levy notice for me for over $35k and that was only for 2004 2007 Watax had the levy dropped in days and went right to work on my SFR returns and all the other years i needed to file, I don't know you other then from our phone calls and emails Pam but if i could i would hug you, you made what i thought would be impossible very very doable. In the mail today i got letters from the IRS saying i now owe $3k for 04/07 Every time i got a letter from the IRS since this started , and I called Marty in a panic he always settled me back down. explain what was going on and and why, and by the time i was off the phone with him my stress level was down 100% I knew just from reading a few articles / blogs there was no chance in hell i would be a OIC candidate. Unlike some other companies out there, Marty never even suggested it, and from what i have read BS OIC's 9 times out of 10 only make your problem worse I can only hope the penalty abatement goes as smoothly as the rest of my problems did, but i have no reason to believe it won't If you have a IRS problem you can't go wrong with these guys read more

Their comes a time once in a great while when some one does what they say they are going to do.. I would like to say that I am totally impressed with Washington Tax Services.. They took care of every thing.. and did exactly what they said they would do.. It took them about 7 months to get my deal completed with the IRS.. and I feel so relieved and happy.. I cannot explain.. how nice it is to have this done and not to have to worry about my taxes and interest and penalties any more. I dealt with Marty.. and he did such a great job.. and it was very easy.. I recommend you do exactly what they tell you to do.. and follow their lead.. they really are experts.. Many companies I talked to wanted to charge a monthly fee.. Washington Tax Services.. did not charge this monthly fee.. I did not feel comfortable paying a monthly fee.. and I did not see and incentive for those types of companies to get your offering compromise completed in a timely manner.. Washington Tax Services told me how long it was going to take and what to expect.. and they were right about every thing.,.... Every thing I have written here is true.. and I know if you decide to use Washington Tax Services.. You will be very satisfied.. and you will be so happy you did....I am telling you they will do exactly what they say they are going to do... I am giving them the best rating you can give some one.. 5 stars.. read more

For anyone across the country looking for the BEST tax service company, Washington Tax Services is the last one you should call. I had close to $200,000 in back taxes owed, going back to 2001. I was panicked, so I researched many tax relief companies online. I found one of the top-rated ones right near me in South Florida, and was quoted a price of $4900 and a $1000 penalty of some kind. Thankfully I called WaTax before signing a contract and I spoke to Jay Freeborne. We discussed the exact same things as the first company, and Jay then quoted a price of $1500 total. No hidden fees, everything included, at 1/4 the cost. I've called and emailed him numerous times over the past 8 months and he has always responded within minutes. Today I received my acceptance letter of the Offer in Compromise for $16,500 and I couldn't be more relieved. I've dealt with many different businesses over the years, but this man and his company is the best one out there. Call other firms first, but make sure you call WaTax before you sign anything. You won't be disappointed, and these guys make you truly feel optimistic, in a situation you may have felt was hopeless. I know that's how I felt. Calling doesn't cost a thing, and hiring them was just as good as having someone right up the road from me. Everything is done online or over the phone anyway nowadays. Great company. read more

My husband and I are very happy with Washington Tax Services and the results we received. My husband owed over $30,000 in back taxes. We were pregnant at the time we found all of this out and did not have any money. We were stressed out to say the least. There was no way were going to be able to pay this amount off. So I started doing research online to find a tax attorney. I spoke to a couple different places. One of them was Tax Tiger. They wanted $4,500 up front and then there were additional fees for processing paperwork. We couldn't afford that. They also guaranteed us a settlement with the IRS. Right off the bat, I knew there was an issue because no one can guarantee you what the IRS is going to do. My dad found Washington Tax online and read about them. I called them and spoke to Marty. He was very honest with me. He did not make me any promises. He told me up front what we needed to do. We only paid them $1,000. They processed all of the paperwork and gave us instructions on every step we had to take. It's been less than a year and they helped us reach an offer in compromise with the IRS for less than $3,000. That is amazing. We were able to pay the IRS off in payments. We could not have done any of it without Washington Tax Services. Marty and Jason helped us every step of the way. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is having IRS issues. read more

At the time that my business closed I still had outstanding taxes that were owed to the IRS. With no revenue coming in from the business I fell behind and was not able to make payments let alone pay the balance due in full. Interest and penalties were adding up very quickly. As much as I wanted to take care of this matter I was completely overwhelmed and did not know where to begin. After one phone call with Marty he immediately began gathering the necessary information that he needed from me and began working with the IRS right away. Within only a few months' time we had reached an agreement with the IRS and a huge burden was lifted from my shoulders. The service and results I received from Washington Tax Service was more than worth the investment. Do not hesitate to hire WTA but remember...no matter what the circumstances are that landed you in this situation it is still "your situation". By hiring Marty and WTA you are making a commitment to resolve your tax issues and therefore you need to comply to all their requests timely and be ready to do whatever leg work may be necessary. They will work hard on your behalf and achieve timely results but hand holding does not apply here. Laura P. Columbus, Ohio read more

I agree 100% with the above review and also encourage anyone with IRS tax problems to use Washington Tax Service. I researched many tax services before choosing Washington Tax Services due to high ratings and the most reasonable fee of any I looked into. It was the best choice I could have made. I worked mainly with Matt Woare and he was extremely helpful through every step. He explained everything in detail and helped me through the process until the end. Every email I sent was answered in depth by him, no matter what questions I had. I was never asked for additional funds, even though Matt went above and beyond handling every thing for the small amount I paid. My tax problem has been solved and I was able to set up an affordable installment payment agreement with the IRS to take care of my business taxes. I can now move forward and continue to grow, without fear of loosing my business. I highly recommend this company as they will effectively help you solve your tax issues for a very reasonable fee. read more

Marty at Washington Tax Services gave me my sanity back...I had the IRS breathing down my back..letter after letter I just ignored because I thought there was no hope and no light at the end of the tunnel. After reading an article online about Washington Tax Services and their services for rendering IRS issues I decided to call Marty Griffith and discuss my issues. On the very first call he put my worries at ease and provided with some doable options. For a reasonable fee he prepared an Offer in Compromise for me to submit to the IRS that met my current financial means. They accepted and I finally can move on with my life. I only wish I had contacted him when my problems first arose. If you have IRS problems in your life; DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and call him..he will get that light at the end of the tunnel shining again and allow you to move on with your life...DON'T let the IRS have you live in fear!! You have options and Marty will show you the way.. read more

I couldn't recommend Jay and his team at WTS more. My problems with the IRS lasted for nine years with the amount owed increasing well into six figures with interest and penalties. I live overseas which presented additional difficulties. I turned to Jay four years ago after a very frustrating and costly experience with one of the larger firms. He has since represented me for several collection attempts. Had I known better, I would have engaged WTS from the start. Jay was always responsive to my questions, professional and clearly understands how the IRS collection process works. He was thorough, provided sound advice and kept me informed as he managed the process with the IRS. Most important he was able to finally resolve my case at a fraction of what was owed. I am extremely grateful to Jay and WTS for their help and the outcome they achieved. They are extremely good at what they do. read more

Thanks to some bad advice, as well as my own financial incompetence, I found myself on the wrong end of a $50K overdue Federal Tax bill. One attempt to work out a settlement on my own was a disaster. Fortunately I found Washington Tax and Jay Freeborne. One phone conversation and I gratefully turned my problem over to them. Jay was very direct, explaining my options in terms I could easily understand. While putting our offer together the IRS attempted to garnish my pay check, as well as attach my bank account. Jay was able able to stop these actions, saving me a lot of potential embarrassment. In fact, once I retained WATAX, I never had to speak directly to the IRS personally. Bottom line..The IRS has finally accepted our OIC for roughly $.25 on the dollar, a result I am very pleased with. I have nothing but praise for the professionalism as well as the personal service I received. read more

Let me start with this: IF a person or a business has any kind of tax issues, and they DON'T call Washington Tax Services for assistance, they do themselves a grevious disservice. I have had very grave tax issues on two occasions, one personally and one for my business. WATAX immediately took ALL worry off of my shoulders. They took on the burden and the responsibility. And they resolved my problems! In my favor! It was virtually effortless on my part. Jay Freeborne, one of the principles of WATAX, is gracious, non-judgemental, reassuring, effective. These folks are the ultimate professionals. They are a solid, long-standing, reputable, highly-rated tax resolution service. They have been doing this before it became "popular"; and they will be doing it long after the pop-up services have gone away. Their fee is very reasonable. I simply cannot recommend them more strongly. read more

After realizing we were in over our heads with the IRS, I began researching companies that could help us. After reading their reviews I emailed Washington Tax Services and within 15 minutes I had an email from Jay asking for some details on our tax issues. Looking back, I wish we would've contacted Jay years ago. From December to early April, Jay diligently worked on our case. Every single email to Jay was answered almost immediately even on the weekends. Not having to talk to the IRS agent (very intimidating) made us feel very much at ease- a heavy weight was lifted from our minds. I am beyond thrilled to say that through Jay's expertise and persistence we are in a CNC status with the IRS. If you are considering a company to help you resolve your tax issues - CALL Washington Tax Services. The quality of service we received was way over and beyond my highest expectations! read more

Washington Tax Services has given me a peace of mind that I honestly haven't had in over 6 years. I assumed worrying about my taxes was just going to be a regular part of my life and I'd just have to learn to live with it. With their help I've been able to reach a settlement with the IRS and take control of not just my taxes but also my financial future. They were a real pleasure to work with, always quick to reply to any questions I had and were always up front about the process, fees and the steps I had to take to reach a settlement. They worked with me for over a year (it's a long process which they were also up front about) and there were no hidden fees or additional charges. It is honestly not an exaggeration to say Jay Freeborne and his team at Washing Tax Services changed my life and have given me a newfound optimism for my future. I really can't thank them enough. read more

If you have any sort of tax issue, Washington Tax Services is the ONLY place to go. I did a lot of research before speaking with Jay and his team. My small business had a penalty liability of well over 200K. You can imagine the stress upon receiving that news! Jay immediately put my fears to rest and he and his team did a remarkable job over the next two years. Bottom line, we are settling this staggering amount via an OIC for about 15% of the liability. I can't say enough about Washington Tax Service - they are responsive; they keep you updated constantly, and they answered every call I made. Top notch service by a top-notch team. It does not matter where in the country you are - if you have a tax issue, call the team at Washington Tax Service now. Thanks guys! read more

In 2017 was sent a bad K1 from a company going bankrupt. I didn't realize I they had sent it. I found out about it when I received at $72,000 bill from the IRS. I hired a lawyer out of Lubbock, TX to help. He worked on getting this straightened out for 2 1/2 years to no avail. I called Washington Tax and spoke with Jay. He was very helpful. He didn't criticize or judge. He simply helped. He took the information I had and 3 months later had it resolved with the IRS. Not only did he resolve it, but I got a refund. I would highly recommend Washington Tax. They know what they are doing. By the way, I live in Oklahoma and Jay did all this over the telephone. THEY ARE GREAT! read more
