He called in advance the week of to confirm the apt was still on and got me in and out in a fair amount of time on the day of the apt., and the price did not change from the estimate. It now looks better then when I bought it used. Paintless dent repair is the way to go and saves a lot of money and a paint job and if you can go that route if you need a ding or small dent taken out. I suggest going that route and checking these guys out. I will repeat again in the future if need be!

I brought my 2012 Miata to Han's for a Rhode Island inspection and ultimately received…read morerecommendations totaling nearly $8,000, with multiple items presented as necessary for inspection. After a lengthy process and repeated requests to distinguish actual state-inspection requirements from recommended maintenance, I took the car elsewhere. The second shop inspected the same vehicle and found that the only item preventing it from passing was the dry-rotted tires. They did note a leaking shock and other maintenance I intend to address, but correctly distinguished those items from what was required to obtain the inspection sticker. They sourced the tires at a substantially lower price and will have the work completed tomorrow. My concern with Han's is not that every repair recommendation was unreasonable; some of the maintenance is legitimate. It is that recommended work and inspection-critical work were not clearly distinguished, which made an almost $8,000 package appear far more urgent than it actually was. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before authorizing major work here.

I happened to find this place by chance, it was actually recommended to me by another mechanic since he didn't work on Diesel engines he suggested Darren at DC Automotive. I've always done my own work to save money and to learn a few things, but lately I just do not have time. First, I need to mention the pricing. This place is more than fair with their pricing. I didn't even want to get the work done that needed to be done because I was told, by another mechanic, it was going to cost a ton of money, but when the bill came it was much lower than I expected it to be. I was so happy with how reasonable they were! I didn't say they were cheap...they just price fairly. Which brings me to another great aspect about them: they are extremely competent. The work they do here is exceptional! Very knowledgeable and I've never felt like they were trying to nickel and dime me. It always felt like Darren was really trying to help me to get my truck back on the road in the most cost-efficient way possible without sacrificing quality of work. They don't cut corners at all and make sure you get what you need without trying to rob you. Lastly I have to bring up how extremely approachable the staff is here. I've been in contact with both Darren (the owner) and Britney who takes care of everyone that brings their vehicles here. They have both been extremely pleasant to work with. They take their time to make sure I am heard and it never feels like they're rushing to get done with me. It is kind of odd to say but it feels like I've known both of them for a while with how easy going and caring they are. Hands down this business gets 5 stars from me. Ultimately I've decided that I will not bring any vehicle I own to any other place. Vehicle: 2010 F350 6.4l Powerstroke

I mainly wanted an honest opinion on whether it was safe to drive about 60 miles home or if I needed immediate repairs. The mechanic took the car for a quick test drive and did a visual inspection, explaining what they were checking and what signs I should look out for in the future. They were very respectful, informative, and easy to talk to. What really stood out was that they gave me multiple options and recommendations without trying to pressure me into any specific repair or upsell me on anything. That kind of honesty is rare and really appreciated, especially at an auto shop. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and straightforward mechanic.
