I just did the first pick up service from them and my laundry smells and looks amazing. I am super impressed. The pickup/drop off service saved me a ton of time and is super worth the price -- thank you to the staff and team for freeing up my weekend and putting my mind at ease!

Small sign on door. Should be a Large NEON SIGN WITH A WARNING ABOVE IT

How bad can a laundry mat be? Pretty bad when they offer the use of a debit card as payment on their machines and then hit your card three times, $25 each hit, for a total of $75. They blame the hold of $25 on "your institution" however I called my bank and it is the establishment that determines the amount. I used two machines that were the second smallest and by the time you add an extra spin, extra rinse, and extra wash to it, the cost is $9.75. Well it was not worth it because with all the extras it only ran for 28 minutes and the clothes were wet when I took them out. I then went to the dryers and they are $1.75 for 15 minutes. Ran my card again then After finding out they hit my card for $75 I decided to use quarters for the second dry cycle. Their only saving grace is a woman attendant gave me 4 gain pods since they only had one soap to purchase in the dispenser. I will update this post after the additional charges "fall off" as one of the attendants told me would happen. If you run your bank account close to the empty zone DO NOT USE YOUR CARD HERE or you will get over drawn doing laundry. Thank God that is not the case with me but it is still pretty upsetting. Obviously there are a lot of people that get super mad at this issue here as the attendant said she gets yelled at pretty regularly.

    Nice clear flat screen TV.

Since moving into an apartment without a washer and dryer (WTH was I thinking!, oh yeah they have an awesome doggie park and rent was reasonable). I've been to several laundromats and washed at friends houses, while I like washing at my GFs house, it takes all day and I end up getting drunk, so I go to laundromats when I can't afford to loose a whole day and don't need to be drinking wine. Anyway I digress, the laundromats I have found have all been the cliche for a laundromat, kinda dirty, poorly lit, machines broken and attendant is MIA. But Wash World blows all of those out the window, plus they will wash your clothes for you for $1.00 which is well worth it, IMHO, I will go that route the next time and update my review to reflect it. With the exception of the weird woman who is laughing hilariously at her clothes spinning in the dryer (thankfully there is someone with her) if I could call a laundromat experience a pleasant one (seriously I AM washing clothes), this would be it.

Always cleanest and nicest laundromat I've ever seen. Workers there remember you if you come in regularly which is sweet of them

I recently took two items in to be altered. The first one was a simple uniform shirt that needed an American flag sewn on the sleeve. Sounds pretty easy, doesn't it. Well, I thought so too. It was not. I explained I needed the short back in 6 days because I needed to travel to Des Moines with ot for an event in 8 days. Not a problem, I was assured. I went in 6 days later to retrieve the shirt, as I was promised, and it was for some reason not done. OK. It can happen. I explained I needed the shirt for certain the next day as I was leaving in the morning of the next day. The counter person assured me it would be done by 3:00. OK. No problem. I went back the next day, and as you might have guessed, the shirt was not ready at 3:00. She assured me that if I came back at 5:00 it would be finished. I returned at 5:00, and lo and behold, it was complete, but she had sewn the wrong flag on it. She was apologetic after I pointed this out and asked me to take a seat while she made the correction. OK. I sat down. A few minutes later, she returned with the shirt, but the flag was horribly crooked. This was an easy piece of work, because the flag sits nearly directly on top of a seam! Just line it up with the seam! Once again, I sat down while she took the shirt back to correct her error. She returned after a short while with the shirt, and there was glue spread all over the place. Apparently, beneath the old patch, had been glue, which was now both on the shirt, and on the new flag. She did not see an issue with this when I pointed it out, but she did once again take the shirt back again, to see if she could use the steamer to remove the glue. She returned it to me about 10 minutes later, and while most of the glue was now off of the shirt, there was still a rather large blob of glue obscuring part of the flag. I told her OK, I would take it, and when I got home I steamed that glue from it so it at least looked presentable. She did offer to comp the job for all the issues, but I refused and paid her. Nobody should work for free. OK, second item. My second item was a Revolutionary War uniform coat. It was expensive and made for me a few years ago. Due to recent weight loss, it needed to be altered. When I went to get my shirt, and got increasingly annoyed waiting, I did ask for my uniform coat back. I said I did not trust them to get it done right, and that I would take it elsewhere. I was informed my coat was not there, and that he seamstress had taken it home since it was such an involved job. OK. No problem. I left with just my glue-covered shirt. I waited a few days to call to check on my coat, and was told on a Thursday, that they did not know the status, since it was still at the seamstress's home, but I was assured I would get a call the next day, Friday, with a status. This was by the lady who had screwed my shirt up, but I held out confidence that she would be able to competently check into this, and call me back the next day. Of course, she did not. Big surprise. I called back Monday and was aggravated at her for not calling me back. I expressed my frustration, and she assured me should would ASAP and call me right back. She actually did return my call in short order to PROMISE me the coat would be done in 3 more days. In 3 days, I called before making another fruitless trip, and was informed that now the seamstress need an additional 4 days. At that point I drove to the shop, and demanded my coat be returned to me. I had not given permission for anyone to remove my coat from the building, and I was sick of waiting. I even offered to go pick the coat up from wherever the seamstress had secreted it. I was assured a call would be made to get my coat returned. A gentleman called me, he might be the owner or manager of Maple Tailors and we discussed the debacle. He made no attempt to defend this lousy customer service, and was quite apologetic. He assured me the coat would be there the next day. Somehow, magically, the coat that could not be completed, was completed that night. Perhaps it was done by fairies or angels, I do not know. It was done correctly, which very much surprised me. I half expected there to only be 1 arm or something, but everything was fine. I paid my bill, $133, and left. I am glad it was done, but I will never return. It is a shame because I was a loyal customer for around 10 years. Go up the street to Jack's tailors for far less hassle!
