Drive thru do it yourself car wash
Salvador Z.

Wash Time Car Wash is a hidden gem here in downtown Pleasanton. It's a small three-bay car wash that has been in business for over 25 years. I come here to wash my mountain bike and my truck. The property is clean and the bays are always filled with soap. My favorite thing about Wash Time is that I can use a credit card instead of paying with coins.

This place is just "ok". I didn't like how the machine said it was charging me $4 twice but it really charged me $10 twice.

They ok. Average. Nothing bad, nothing great. Just a car wash. If that is what you want that is what you will get.

Most convenient and easy location. Good sized stalls. Good vacuums. The coins are a little old school.

Beware, the 1st bay all the way to the left only functions as a water gun. This place is garbage.

Okay, until you put your muscles and sweat! Let dry on its own if a windy day/night; we usually wash at nights and it good so far!

Good enough for a cheaper car wash. Initial 4 minutes costed $3.50. You could get a decent manual car wash done for about $6.

I managed to wash my car pretty clean in under 4 minutes, so $3.5 is well spent, the brush was soft was to not scratch my car.

It is what it is. A coin-operated car wash. I like that it takes their gold coins and/or quarters. Kind of small, but worked well.

I've always had great experiences taking my car here but tonight was especially memorable. My car…read morebattery died (oops) and the Assistant Manager, Eric, went above and beyond to help me out. The customer service was top notch.

Updated Review: I…read moreoriginally gave them 4 stars, but my experience with their "one month free unlimited wash" with purchase promotion changed that. I signed up, canceled through their website as instructed, and even confirmed in person during my last wash that I wouldn't be charged. The next morning, I was charged anyway. I called corporate, submitted an online ticket, and heard nothing back. I went in person a day or two later to ask about corporate turnaround time (about 4 days) and decided to wait it out. Over the next several weeks, I opened three more tickets and made multiple calls--each time with no response. After not hearing back for 5+ days on every ticket, I went in person again. They submitted a ticket from their end, and I explained that I had now been charged twice after canceling. They told me the turnaround was 24-48 hours. I waited again. Nothing. They escalated it, but said that was all they could do. When I asked for a manager (not associate manager) to call me, I was told they wouldn't. They could simply "follow up" with the manager and resubmit the ticket. Eventually, someone from corporate called--only to blame the car wash location for management changes. But my frustration wasn't with the local staff; it was with corporate ignoring every ticket and voicemail for over a month. I had to show them detailed logs just to get a refund. I received a half-hearted apology and no offer of goodwill--not even a free wash. They said they'd "look into" the issue before processing the refund, and at that point I told them I didn't care. I just wanted the membership canceled and my money returned. Their internal investigation wasn't going to benefit me at all and was for them to figure out to better their customer service. It's unfortunate because I actually had decent experiences here before all this, and I would have kept coming back. But after this ordeal, I'm beyond frustrated and won't be giving them my business again.

I came by last Friday, as this spot was offering a first time customer discount, $10 off the Works…read morecar wash and interior cleaning service. The lady at the front counter seemed unaware of the discount clearly being promoted on their website, acted clueless about it until I showed her the ad online. For auto cleaning services, you first drop off your vehicle and key at the car wash line, where a guy hands you a paper with the service you requested. You then bring that into the small building at the center to pay at the register (it's like a gas station convenience store, but smaller with less products for sale), and you show your receipt showing payment to pick up your vehicle when it's done. The place offers restrooms and a shaded waiting area with ample seating and a few tables. They don't call out your name when your car is ready (cuz they don't ask for names when you drop your car off), they just look at the waiting area and yell out "hey" and/or wave their arms around to indicate a vehicle is done. Problem is, the interior cleaning stalls are on two sides of the facility and only one side is viewable from the waiting area. So after 40 minutes, I walked around the corner to check the status and found my car just sitting there. A guy motioned that it was done and asked for my receipt. Not sure how long ago they had finished. It wasn't exactly the perfect system, but $32 for the Works interior and exterior wash, and they do all the cleaning for me... not bad at all. There was still some dust and grime on the inside and outside (they clearly don't pay attention to detail), but at a discounted price, it was good enough.

Not happy with the service. Scratched my windshield of a…read morenew vehicle and never called back to make it right. Called the business but no one ever picks up. Refused to reimburse the monthly membership. Make sure you check your car prior to taking it in.
