If you're looking for a quick or informal/casual place to pick up some sushi, I suggest Wasabi. It is small, surprisingly quick and yummy. We tried a couple specials that they had, avocado ball and jalapeño bomb. Both of these were extremely good. We also had some sushi. Don't underestimate the food at Wasabi because of its location. The sushi and sashimi at this small restaurant may be the best in Hagerstown. What distinguishes is the quality and freshness of the ingredients used in the food. The miso soup has a robust flavor and does not taste like a watered down chicken soup. The pieces of fresh and cooked fish are large and at a temperature which enhances their flavor. In short they don't taste as if they've just come out of a refrigerator. Wasabi is a delight! I came here during a weekday for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. They have a fantastic lunch menu at a great price. The service was really friendly and was obviously a family business. The sushi was very tasty, too! I had a California roll, spicy tuna, and a shrimp avocado roll for the lunch combo. I also split one of their specials (I can't recall the name) with my sister. I left feeling stuffed and spent about $15. Total win! read more

This place is just incredible!! My friends and I have come here several times now and each and every time it has been great! We have tried multiple dishes and they were all very tasty. My favorite is the Hibachi shrimp combo. It's always fresh and very flavorful!! They also give very good portion sizes. My friend gets the spicy salmon roll, which is also amazing. This place has the best fried rice in Hagerstown. It's actually better than the fried rice I had while in China. In addition, the gyoza is the best I've had anywhere. I have gone to Wasabi a lot since it's so close to Leitersburg Cinema. This is such amazingly good food. I usually get Gyoza with my meals and it's easily the best cooked I have had. Nothing I have gotten here was bad. Please go and eat and enjoy it's worth every penny. read more

This was a decent place for sushi and the selection was pretty broad. Considering I just came from Hawaii for the past 5 years eating POKE and large chunks of Ahi it was a setback. I have not had cream cheese in sushi for so long that I requested not to have it put inside. Wasabi might be the best sushi in Hagerstown. No one really does crab in any form other than kani so the crabstick is to be expected. This is my absolute favorite sushi place- not only is the service always fast and friendly, but the sushi rolls are excellent. We go at least once a week and every meal has been great. There are a great variety of rolls on the menu and they are happy to modify anything to your request. Definitely worth the trip, their restaurant is on the outskirts of Hagerstown so you don't have to worry about traveling downtown, and they have a huge parking lot so no worries there. Wasabi is definitely my favorite take out Japanese place in town. Sushi is great very tasty hibachi as well. I think Wasabi has the best sushi in hagerstown it can compete with places in DC in my opinion.
