Miso soup with tempura flakes inside wth

Miso soup had tempura flakes in it... Shashimi was so cold you could feel the ice. Just bland food. Service was mediocre

This was our first visit to Wasabi and won't be the last. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our requests. The food was amazing, fresh and plated to perfection. It was a comfortable environment with attractive decor but the floor fan was off putting. I'm sure it was there to dry off a wet spot but didn't seem right for the environment. Regardless, the food and service will have me return.

Sashimi Appetizer

Was in town for a work trip during the non tourist season. The service was very kind and I got sat next to the cutest family where a little girl was celebrating her bday. The staff made it so fun for her. Atmosphere: great date spot for if you want to be casual or you feel like dressing up. Food: I loved the dishes I received. I got the Sex and the City roll: LARGE AND BEAUTIFUL. It had so much flavor and it was big and filling. The lady next to me ended up getting the same roll because of how good it looked Sashimi appetizer: it was displayed beautifully. The fish was so fresh. -Service was very fast and kind. I really enjoyed my overall experience.

Always so polite, accommodating, and fun! As someone with a gluten allergy it can be hard but they always make sure I'm eating things safe for me! Thank you Wasabi team you are our favorite sushi place in Bluffton.

Salmon Poke Bowl

Loved this place! The sushi was fresh, the ramen hit the spot and the hibachi was so delicious. Super chill vibes and really nice staff -- will definitely be back!"

Edamame, hibachi chicken, beef lunchbox, 3 rolls.

Went in on a Sunday afternoon and it was absolutely delightful. Staff are extremely kind and friendly. Food was phenomenal. Lunch special is an amazing deal for how good the food truly is. The ambience is great.

Best Sushi around!!! This is the Ninja Fruit roll, a kids favorite for sure!! Great service and the owners are the nicest people!!

Rock and Roll

Monday's are usually spent going out for wings. With a low "wing kings" attendance, my buddy recommended Wasabi when I told him I'd rather have sushi. I hadn't heard of too many good sushi places in the area. This was exceptional. It appears to be a family run business located in the Publix Buckwalter strip mall area next to NY Pizza. The prices and offering were reasonable. They have lunch and dinner Bento boxes and combos. I was only in the mood for sushi. I didn't see any sushi/sashimi combos other than the "Boat". For beverages they offer beer, wine, hot and cold sake and soft drinks. I don't think they have other hard liquor. I ordered the Seafood Dynamite and Rock & Roll sushi. It was delicious and plentiful.I probably should have only ordered 1 roll and not 2. The service was good, but a bit slow. Probably because of the complexity of the rolls. My friend had the Rainbow and Dragon rolls. The Seafood Dynamite was great and a must have.

Poke bowl

Stopped by for a quick dinner on a Saturday evening. Friendly hostess, not too packed. Decent menu but my wife and I just grabbed a couple of poke bowls. Decent amount of fresh fish, good taste. The sauce wasn't overwhelming which isn't always the case with poke bowls. I will say that I would prefer other greens than just iceberg lettuce, maybe some kale or some spinach but otherwise very tasty. Would revisit.

This is what the calamari looks like. Mine was in a to go box though.

March 26, 2023 We walked in @ 8:50 pm after driving 30 minutes to get to the restaurant. Their website, Google & Yelp all said the restaurant closed at 10:00 or 10:30. Their door said they closed at 10:00PM. The waiter came over took our drink order, then came back with our drinks and let us know that last seating was at 9:30. Again, it was 8:50 when we arrived and were seated. We decided to make our order a To Go order to be courteous. The calamari was good but would have been fabulous if it was hot. (we had to drive back 30 min to our hotel. My edamame was terrible. It had no seasoning on it whatsoever. The rice had a terrible smoky flavor, the beef was very good. I will say, the portion sizes were good also.

Hanalulu roll

Absolutely delicious food. If you're ever looking for some great hibachi, check out Wasabi. Their Vegetable Hibachi is incredible! Always have a great time in their cozy restaurant, with great prices, and a very friendly staff.

Hi Everyone, Ya,…read moreknow, maybe you don't feel like bagging your lunch today, or making diner tonight, but you've got to eat! What ever will you do? What type of food do you want to eat, now or later? Questions, questions, those nagging questions. Well we here, in the peanut gallery, may have a solution for you today. If you enjoy eating Sushi (Japanese cuisine, in which raw or cooked fish can be inserted into or be placed a top a rice roll with other ingredients). Now I thought that Sushi was ONLY raw fish (which I know you knew, but I didn't, lol), and Sushmi which I thought was actually only cooked fish inserted in, or a top a rice roll, with other ingredients, such as seaweed, cream cheese, imitation crab (I.e. pressed white fish) etc... But, bust my buttons, Sushmi is actually Hindu female name, not a name for Asian cusine, which means welcoming or pleasant, (which I know you knew, but I didn't, lol), but I digress, along with some other Chinese classics then we can highly recommend you visit AKOMEYA right here in Bluffton, SC. Why? Because my friends, their food entrees are actually very savory and delicious treats. Their ambiance is inviting, neat, and clean. Their Servers are friendly, personable, and helpful. Their prices are affordable, that's right, as in, most of us can actually afford to pay for them. For instance, they offer four lunch (ONLY) Chinese meals that are relatively healthy as prepared with a delicate balanced of ingredients that are tastebuds delight. And yes, Jethro, them there "viddles" will fill your belly and keep you a comin back for more helpins! But for how much? $10.00 per entree. Now that them their is an affordable price for lunch, even for Jethro da Bodeen. Their diner menu offers many delightful and tasty tantalizing entrees as well which we have also have enjoyed multiple times. So if you have a hankerin for some good viddles like our man Jethro, it's time to get on down to AKOMEYA and git sum. BTW, Akomeya is also a specialty rice shop with locations at many major train stations in Tokyo. Although rice is their main focus, they also offer an impressive selection of kitchen goods, condiments, and snacks--making it a must-visit for cooking enthusiasts or anyone in search of thoughtful, Japan-made gifts (which I know you knew, but I didn't ). Enjoy!

We walked in and the was ONE table of five in the whole place. Should have been our first sign…read more The service was the WORST I've ever had! The server asked once if we needed drinks. Never asked again. Then I asked for a glass of water and she didn't say a word. Just turned around and got it. Brought it back and just sat it down and walked away. We ordered two sushi rolls and she didn't bring utensils to eat it with. I had to find them for us. Then my wife wanted a little bowl for soy sauce. I had to go find it because our server was no where to be found. She had an attitude about anything we asked for. I'm not joking when I say it was the worst service I've ever had. Needless to say the tip wasn't what it should have been or could have been. Now the food? Awesome! I had the hot sand sour soup (one of the best I've ever had), we had two different sushi rolls. One was the Akomeyea roll and the other was some tuna roll I didn't eat. The chicken low mien was very good and plenty of it. I gave it 3 stars because the food was very good. If we ever decide to get dinner here again it would definitely be to go. No way would I eat in the restaurant again with service like that and as empty as the place was. I get why it was like that if all the service is like that.

I was genuinely excited when Sakyura opened. It's always great to have another restaurant nearby,…read moreand during our first few visits, the food seemed promising. My husband especially enjoys the sushi--it's fresh, nicely presented, and has been consistently good. The gyoza is also decent: crispy on the outside, flavorful on the inside. And the noodle dish I've had several times is good. That said, our more recent visits have been disappointing overall. I ordered the pho tonight, and while it had a ton of noodles, the broth was almost completely lacking in flavor and there was barely enough of it to call it soup. Pho should be rich and aromatic, and this just didn't hit the mark. Took a few bites and called it. I've also had issues with the chicken in other dishes--it has a very odd, almost rubbery texture that makes it hard to enjoy. We've tried the bento boxes too, and while they look appealing, the meat isn't cooked in the sauce--it's just spooned on top, which leaves the dish feeling disjointed and almost like a microwave dinner feel. Service is another area where the experience falls short. Even when the restaurant isn't busy, the staff tends to be distracted and not very attentive. They're not unfriendly, just not especially engaged or warm, which affects the overall atmosphere. There are definitely some highlights on the menu, and I still think this place has potential if they can improve the consistency and refine the service. For now, Sakyura is a hit-or-miss experience--but we're still hoping it turns into the neighborhood gem we were excited about in the beginning.
