It was above average food, not the best ever but a great neighborhood spot. It's really hard to find great Asian cuisine in this area. Admittedly, I was skeptical to see the variety of Chinese,Thai, and Japanese options on their menu. I haven't tried the sushi yet, simply because I just haven't been craving it lately (but I plan too). I have tried the egg rolls (they actually have flavor and are not greasy messes that others seem to serve), won ton soup (broth was seasoned well), bento box, Singapore noodles, Thai basil, and the Seafood Treasure. Every dish is loaded with meats and veggies. There's even real lobster! If you view the photos others have uploaded, you will see the proof that they are consistent with their food preparation. It's nicely decorated. The staff is great. And they have a wine and beer, if that's your thing. Prices seem really reasonable. The only thing I would ask for is delivery, because I'm a homebody! Overall, a decent place for Chinese/Japanese cuisine, considering the lack of competition in this area. As far as sushi goes, this definitely would not be my go to place. Akashi at Lake Conroe and Uni in The Woodlands really over shadow the sushi from WB..The sushi is unremarkable and the rolls tend to just blend together after a couple of bites. However, they're cooked chicken dishes, such as a general Tso's chicken, or the orange chicken are fantastic! The Singapore noodles were oily with a heavy curry, they could have been a bit more savory, and the meat was not very identifiable, besides the shrimp. read more

Busy for a fairly new place. We ordered several appetizers and some sushi and soups. Everything came out on promptly. For the most part we were pleased with the meals. My family and I eat here....possibly too much. . but that's because it is THAT good! I consider myself picky when it comes to sushi. I think most sushi places drown the rolls/dishes in sauce to hide the fishy taste of questionably old fish...not here! The food is fresh! The ahi tower is so good...I crave it. My family loves the green dragon, the crunch roll, shaggy dog, the big Jason, mango roll...our favorite hot dishes are the chicken fried rice (better than any other place we've tried hands down), the pepper shrimp & Singapore noodles. And honorable mention: the egg rolls. (Done perfectly) And the staff is always very friendly and accommodating. They work hard to keep up with the flow of patrons. I have been wanting to try this for a while because I have been searching for good Chinese food (especially fried rice) with some flavor since I moved to the area. We ordered the House Fried Rice, New Orleans sushi roll and the Thai Chicken Curry. The rice had extra large shrimp which is a plus because a lot of places use tiny shrimp pieces and they are not cleaned. My grandson ate almost an entire bowl and I even ordered us an extra bowl for to-go. I will be visiting this place again soon because there are several other items on the menu that I would like to try. read more

I love this place. I've tried about 1/3 of their menu from the sushi to Japanese and Chinese dinners. Hunan beef or shrimp is my go to, but I gotta have the seaweed salad or edamame. Food is good, service is negative 10. They forgot an order, I had to back to get it. Instead of an apology, I was meet with "I'm sure I put it into your bag". Haven't seen my kids in a week and they were home eating without me as I got the rest of the food they forgot to pack. On my drive home I called to speak to the manager, turns out the guy was the manager. He pressed that customers don't see it in the bottom of the bag all the time and that I needed to double check. Didn't say sorry until I brought it up. As I returned home I double checked - no Mongolian beef. He continue to focus on the fact he had to make a second order instead of rectifying the fact that I had to drive twice to get my full order. Asking how he's like to keep me as a customer, he offered a "free egg roll next order". They also nickel and dime for everything. I'm a past order I got a shrimp tempura roll. I asked for no crab meat, but add jalapeño. They charged me for jalapeños but didn't deduct or exchange for the more expensive crab. Oh so fabulous! We ordered way too much food but it was all delicious! We love having Wasabi Bistro only minutes from us. We ordered two salads, two soups, general tso's, beef lo mein and two rolls and we were stuffed but still kept the tab under $75 after tip! Highly recommend! read more

When it comes to Asian Food I'm a bit more of the critic than usual, because I love it and it is so hard to find good Asian food in the Conroe area. Wasabi bistro is no exception to the rule, the fried rice was bland and everything else was just OK. I am giving a three star review because it is still a newish business and at the time it was even newer, maybe I will try again in the future and I will be more impressed. Wasabi has really good food. Consistency is pretty good. Out of 30 or so visits, we might have had 5 that were sub par. My wife does Singapore noodles with jalapeno added. i like the cold shrimp spring rolls and the sushi rolls. The Ahi Tower is great if you like spicy tuna. Egg rolls are fair, too greasy for my taste. The Volcano Chicken and Beef are good. Tangy Spicy Chicken is good too. All in all Wasabi is probably the best asian restaurant in the inner Conroe area. read more

We were seated immediately and our order arrived quickly, which was nice since we wanted a sit down meal, but were also trying to get home.
