You'd be hard pressed to find a 'phone number for this shop. Don't even think about trying to find the website-there ain't one. This is a guitar shop that you have to visit, and if you are into guitars and amps this shop is a little gold mine that you have to visit when in Warwick.
When we walk in, the owner is tinkering with a guitar amplifier, and he looks up and gives us a smile and a nod. The shop looks as if it hasn't changed much since the 1970's, apart from the changing stock of delights. The owner is happy to consider a part-exchange deal and as a result there are some really interesting guitars from lesser-known names of the back wall including what looks like a very feminine looking hand-painted Les Paul look-a-like that has the weight and hardware spec to match the original.
Then I spy it: The unmistakable space-age-shaped Super Yob guitar as played by Dave Hill of Slade on Cum On Feel The Noize. "It's not for sale" responds the owner with a combination of apology and pride. One of Hendrix's axes is also on the back wall, and if you have the cash, you can buy that piece of memorabilia instead.
If you live within 30 miles of here, and if you are after an unusual guitar, rather than a run-of-the-mill one, tie in a visit to here with the other indie attractions that Warwick has. read more
