We had another company's plumber snake the bathtub, but unfortunately, it didn't solve the problem. Oakland Rooter and Plumbing was immediately able to get someone out to the property within just a few hours. Eddie came out, assessed the issue, and recommended snaking the bathtub again. Within an hour, he was able to clear a hairball from the pipe and get the bathtub draining properly again! We were initially worried that there might be a broken pipe, so we were very relieved that Eddie was able to resolve the issue so quickly. Huge thank you to Eddie and Oakland Rooter and Plumbing! I really appreciated the clear communication, quick response, availability on such short notice, and professionalism. We will definitely be reaching out again for future plumbing services!

After getting a very high quote from a major plumbing chain, we decided to contact Water Heater…read moreMasters. We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Water Heater Masters. Alex sent our technician, Rojo, who helped install a new 40-gallon gas water heater in our indoor utility closet, and he was incredibly diligent, professional, and efficient from start to finish. Installing a tank in an inside closet can be tricky, but Rojo handled the entire job seamlessly in just 2 hours. He replaced everything with high-quality components, including: * New hot and cold water flex lines * A brand new water shut-off valve * A new gas flex line and sediment trap * Fully reworked earthquake straps (to meet California safety codes) * Properly updated T&P line and venting He also took care of the removal and disposal of our heavy 18 yr old tank, leaving the utility closet completely clean. If you want fair pricing, expert specialized service, and a technician who respects your time and home, call Water Heater Masters and ask for Rojo. Highly recommended!

We were replacing a gas water heater with a hybrid electric heat pump water heater. Generally, this…read moretype of heater costs twice as much (price and installation) as a traditional electric water heater, but costs a lot less to run (and therefore you recoup the additional cost in a few years from lower operating costs). I had a very easy experience getting an on-site quote. I received 3 quotes for this job. 2 quotes, including this one, came in around $7100. I went with a third one at around $6700 (which included an additional mixing valve) and am very happy with my decision. Overall price was not a big part of my decision, but brand of water heater was. After doing some research online, the most recommended brands are AO Smith and Rheem (GE). Both higher quotes were for Navien, which has only been making heat pump water heaters for 1 year, but I was told that it is the most reliable brand. I did not understand how this claim could be made, given how short the duration of evaluation for this product. Even the worst appliances usually work for at least a year. So I requested a quote for AO Smith or Rheem, which I did not get. I'm not sure why my brand request was not honored, but it made me question whether I should go with a company that either has communication issues or maybe some type of deal with Navien that I was not informed about. Many water heater installers are preferred installers of certain brands, which means they can get better pricing, etc. I did not want to be a guinea pig for Navien.

The invoice, dated 6/28/2026, states twice that the technician was "unable to clear" the line "due to incorrect plumbing," and that you would "return on Monday, June 29 at 10 o'clock to give complete estimate for repair." By your own documentation, the job was not completed at the time $300 was collected from my tenant in cash. No explanation was given to my tenant or to me at that time for why payment was being collected on unfinished work. On the invoice itself: it was not sent to me on 6/28 or the day after. It was only sent after roughly a week of follow-up calls from both my tenant and myself. To clarify the $5,000 figure: my review never attributed that estimate to Mr. Rooter. It was the quote given by the separate restoration company your team referred me to. On the return visit: this was the originally scheduled visit to provide the estimate promised on the 6/28 invoice, not an additional service performed as a courtesy. I appreciate the acknowledgment that the refund check took longer than it should have. My intent in leaving this review was to give an accurate account based on the documentation from this job, so your team can review the process and so future customers can make informed decisions. Thank you !

Alex Ferguson was fantastic! Our water heater pilot light kept turning off. Alex came out to look…read moreat it and found a leak. We considered replacing the water heater a couple years ago so were prepared. Alex explained the estimates (between standard water heater and tankless), cost, installation, and how long the job would take. They could install the next day (yeh hot water!) The estimate was less than another plumber gave us TWO YEARS ago! We happily went with the tankless water heater and Alex's communication was excellent. Always polite, friendly, and respectful. He was even careful to put on booties every time he was in the house. Alex also gave me the heads up when they were going to turn off the water and the gas to the house so we'd be prepared. Next, Alex decided to test the water pressure coming into the house. It was at 100psi. Standard is anywhere from 40-80 psi and higher pressure can break down your faucets and water heater faster. We would never have known, Alex just wanted to find out for the longevity of the new water heater he was putting in. There was a little shifting in the scheduling for the water pressure regulator, however I have a flexible schedule and work from home. Overall, delighted with not only this visit, but the other jobs Mr. Rooter has done for us in the past.

I knew the Pressure Regulator Valve needed to be changed and the shower stems needed to be replaced. I had 3 other estimates completed for the same job. There was no up sale after the initial estimate either. The work that was discussed was the work that was carried out. Estimate and total cost were still lower than the other quotes. And some of those quotes did not even include the proper work to satisfy the need. 1 year warranty on the work included. The cost of experience was well worth the price paid for the time spent on the job. I 100% recommend working with Gee and Taz Plumbing.
