Disappointed and Concerned - Avoid Township…read more I visited Township near closing time with my wife, daughter, and her boyfriend. We ordered drinks around 1:50 AM and were peacefully enjoying them when, at 2:00 AM, a security guard aggressively demanded that I leave--even though I clearly explained I was waiting for my wife. Despite my calm explanation, he became confrontational and even violent. I immediately brought this to the attention of Matt, the manager, but to my surprise, he said nothing to the security guard and took no action whatsoever. We were left feeling unsafe and disrespected in what should have been a simple and enjoyable night out. This situation was completely unacceptable and potentially dangerous. I would strongly advise others to steer clear of Township. There are far better places in town that prioritize the safety and dignity of their guests.

Even after tipping generously and being calm and respectful, the security guard continued to escalate. I was with them and asked for just a moment, but instead of showing understanding, he physically pushed them out. As soon as their family came out of the bathroom, they were met with aggression instead of basic decency. My friend's father asked Matt, the manager, to step in and de-escalate--but Matt did nothing. He said he couldn't do anything because the security guard "runs the show." That's unacceptable, and frankly, dangerous. This is not how any bar--especially one in a college town--should treat respectful guests or FSU families. I won't be going back, and I urge others to avoid Township before someone truly gets hurt. It's not worth the risk.
